We had a great time on our tour to Fatima, Nazaré and Obidos with our tour guide Edi! He engaged in interesting and fun conversations during the transport from site to site, shared historic and fun facts with the group, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants during the day tour plus recommendations for the remainder of our trip in Portugal. Our favorite spot was Obidos! It was a cute town within the castle walls. Nazare was breezy but beautiful and Fatima was impressive as well. Great time overall!

I would highly recommend this day trip tour as it provided a chance to visit a number of places outside Lisbon . Fátima was very unexpected while the natural beauty of Nazare was amazing. The history of Obidos was so interesting making the 3 locations quite a contrast to each other. Philippe was an excellent driver and tour guide 👍
Our Fatima, Nazare and Obidos tour was outstanding thanks to Tiago (Modern Tours) our tour guide and driver.
This was a great way to see the highlights of these three places. Each place is worthy of at least a full day, but if you do not have the time for longer visits, this is a great alternative. Pick-up location was easy to find and we left promptly. The van was large and fit all 8 of us on the tour plus our driver/guide. We visited on a very busy weekend day, so our tour guide did pivot to allow us more time at the site and less time looking for parking. Before each stop, our guide gave us some history and context for the area. In Fátima, he escorted us in, gave us an overview of the site and gave us about an hour to explore. Nazaré was very busy, but we were hoping to see the waves and surfers. Our guide recommended a few places for lunch. We had a delicious seafood lunch with an amazing view & then walked down to the lighthouse to watch the surfers. Óbidos was hosting a Christmas market & was extremely packed. Once again, our guide provided us with some history & instructions on some of the highlights and how to get there- even with the crowds, it was a beautiful town to visit. Our guide was Hugo and he was wonderful- good balance of information without overloading us. If we had questions, he was very comfortable with giving us more in depth information. Also, gave us some great tips and info for Lisbon and had an excellent playlist for the ride between stops!
We booked basically to see Nazare’ but turned out our favorite spots were Fatima and Óbidos!

I took this tour to Fatima with my family. I left a pair of very high priced sunglasses in the backseat and when I tried to retrieve them, the company, the tour guide and Viator would not help me. I would never use them again.
The tour itself was nice, but to maximize profit, two adults were asked to sit next to the driver in a van. It was dangerously tight and uncomfortable. We couldn’t sit straight, and I couldn’t move my legs or arms once the door was shut. I wouldn’t recommend the tour from the company as it felt unsafe and uncomfortable squeezed into a van like that.
Excellent one day tour! W enjoyed all the three places even though the weather did not cooperated. Highly recommended, loved Tiago's knowledge about the whole trip.

Hi João, you are exceptionally good as an English tourist guide. We enjoyed our tour today to Sintra, Cascais, and Cabo da Roca. Whole way you gave us lots of historical information and cracked some jokes about the places as well.

Van was a bit small for 8 people plus driver. Was uncomfortable for 1 1/2 hour drive. Then again for 1 hour drive. Drive for 30 minutes was ok.
This tour was incredible. Our guide Filipe (apologies on spelling if incorrect) was amazing and gave so much history in the best way. The breakdown of the lengths of time at each location was perfect and little details made the trip. Highly recommend!
We had an incredible tour to Nazaré, Fátima, and Óbidos, and our guide Eddie was absolutely outstanding. He was not only extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of each stop, but also incredibly kind, accommodating, and attentive to everyone on the tour. Eddie kept the group engaged with great insights and stories, and he had a natural way of connecting with each participant, making the experience feel personal and welcoming.
What really stood out was how he made the long drive both memorable and fun. He gave excellent recommendations, anticipated our needs, and created an atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable and included. His professionalism, warmth, and passion for sharing Portugal truly elevated the entire experience.
Eddie is without a doubt a five-star guide, and we left the tour feeling not only enriched by what we saw but also grateful for the way he made the day so special. Highly recommend!

An excellent day trip from Lisbon! The beach in Nazare was gorgeous! We had lunch at Aleluia Restaurante Esplanada - best fish meal we had in Portugal. Obidos is a lovely medieval city - lots of shops and fun to stroll around. Fátima was as expected for a religious pilgrimage site. The Church is beautiful.

It was a really good tour the tour guide was good I do wish we went to a different restaurant it wasn’t that good and way over priced. I’m not paying 98 for a lobster when it doesn’t even coast that much in America. But in all honestly other than that the tour was great!!
Filipe was very responsive, informative and friendly. The tour was a great value which included 3 towns. Highlight was the castle of Obidos. Lots of free time to explore each area. Also enjoyed the ginja tasting :)

We loved our time in Fatima and Nazare, but I especially loved Obidos. Although Fatima and Nazare are beautiful, the architecture and history of Obidos made the trip! Our tour guide, Edi, was wonderful and full of information.
Excellent excursion by Modern Tours that focused on historical and interesting sites in the outer Lisbon area. Hugo was our tour guide and we couldn’t be happier with the service he provided. Very knowledgeable with all of our stops, and considerate with the time frame and what we wanted to see. Hugo what’s great at taking pictures for us, and also made lunch reservations at a lovely restaurant in Nazare. Our favorite stop was Obsido. Somehow Hugo even had photos of our tour group printed and he gave them to us at the end of our trip. Not quite sure how he accomplished that! I picked Modern Tours, because the description said it was an English only tour. I’ve been on other tours that have multiple languages and it makes the tour much longer. Our tour consisted of a small group of eight people. We really enjoyed our fellow travelers, and by the end of the tour we felt like family!
This was one of my best experiences during my solo trip to Portugal. Hugo was an amazing guide and gave us an in-depth history about Portugal from beginning to current. He went above and beyond to make the experience comfortable and unique to each guest. I will definitely recommend modern tours to others, especially Hugo and visiting these three cities while in Portugal.

We loved every second of it. Our tour guide Philipe was very knowledgeable, with great sense of humour and very friendly. He told us many historical facts, recommended great restaurant for lunch and Jinja tasting in Obidos.
We would warmly recommend the tour operator, our guide Philipe and this specific excursion.
