After seeing pictures of Algarve online I knew we had to go, but only had one free day in our schedule. So we took an all day tour out of Lisbon and have no regrets. We had a great time and covered a lot of ground. Our guide Rui, was reserved but knowledgeable about the area and took us to many, many great lookout spots. We did a lot of walking to scenic viewpoints but when we asked, he said he adjusts the tour to clients preference so the amount of walking and going up and down stairs can be varied. The cliffs were beautiful and the boat tour of the caves was excellent. At one point we walked down 232 steps down to a secluded beach and then back up of course. We walked through a few beaches but did not linger too long. If you want to linger more at a beach and spend less time exploring, I’d suggest asking and I am sure they can accomodate this. We definitely got our steps in and enjoyed the views in the process! While the drive was several hours, there were sufficient stops that it never felt like we were wasting the day in the car. If you only have one free day we definitely recommend taking this tour of Algarve.

A great private day trip giving us an intro into the Algarve. We were with Nuno as our guide. He was knowledgeable, personable and attentive. Suggested & arranged a wonderful water view lunch spot. The vehicle was a Mercedes that was in excellent condition & very comfortable. We visited Albufeira, Carvoeiro & the Benagil Caves, and Lagos for a walk & view of the breathtaking limestone cliffs. A splurge but worth it. We have a camera full of memories!

It’s a long day. Relaxing and all about the water. Susana recommended a seafood place for lunch and it made our trip. She is so knowledgeable and flexible to our needs. Splurge on a private tour and marvel in the scenery

Susana is a guide who loves her job and it shows!!! I almost cancelled the trip because the weather prevented us from going on the boat. BUT, we had a fabulous time!!! Seeing the caves from above, yes different than being in water, was still a site to see!! Add to that, Susana’s knowledge of her country and enthusiasm to share made the trip! We learned about the Algarve region, ate a traditional almond paste sweet treat, had a wonderful lunch in Lagos, and felt very well taken care of. Our son fell in love with Lagos and is already thinking of returning for a vacation!
Don’t hesitate to book - it’s a long day but worth it!

This was a great tour but the boat ride to see the caves was amazing! The small boats would enter the caves and you got to experience it from the inside. Highly recommend it.

Our guide Nunu was friendly and patience. Due to weather issues we could not take the initial boat ride but the company gave us a different tour which was equally amazing. The view of the coastline along Lagos and Alga Seco was breathtaking. A must see. We also visited the quiant town of Albufeira which was charming.

After seeing pictures of the Algarve, I knew that I just had to go. Our group had just a week in Portugal so I knew that we needed to make the most our one day dedicated to the Algarve. That’s why I booked this private tour for the four of us. It was incredible!!! Our guide Simone was fabulous—so knowledgeable and gracious. She truly made our day the best of our vacation. Simone shared so much about Portuguese culture and history. She took us to Lagos first where we saw amazing rock formations along the beach. Then we went to Carvoeiro for a lunch of small plates—so delicious. We then went to Albufeira where we walked through the town and had a few beers. (Simone didn’t). Then we went to the BENAGIL caves. So AMAZING! The whole day was so amazing that I didn’t want it to end. I felt I had made a real friend in Simone. She simply is the best! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Absolutely beautiful trip. Amazing boat ride, beautiful views, cute beach towns. Pack a bathing suit and a towel. Our tour guide Miguel was amazing, very knowledgeable, very personable, knew the ins and outs of every location, worked with us on our timing for everything, understood who we were. This is a necessary trip if you are in Lisbon for a few days, you will not regret it.

Simone, our tour guide was lovely! Her passion for history is palpable. She made the 3hr drive from Lisbon to Algarve pass by quickly. She’s shared so much history, culture, including the olive and cork trees, which was fascinating! The beaches and the caves were undoubtedly beautiful and absolutely worth visiting!

Thank you Simon for a great experience with young kids! She was very kind and knowledgeable. The only downside of this trip was that we weren’t able to see the Benagil caves with the kids inside because we did not take a small bowl and we ended up taking a larger boat instead because we all wanted to travel together so just be worried that if you’re traveling with young kids that this trip may not be able to take you on a small boat. Otherwise we had a great trip!

In April, the conditions of the sea are still unstable and sometimes for security reasons we need to change the boat, because the small ones are not authorised to go. The day of your tour unfortunately was one of those exceptional cases.

It was wonderful to get out of the city and check out the beaches. This tour offers you to see a few different beaches in the south area. I will say you don't get to spend tons of time at each beach but the tour is meant to be a overview of the area and you can go back to the beach you love the most another day on your trip. All the beaches have food, toilets and shops. All the beaches were still relaxing. It wasn't a rushed tour. Seeing the caves on the boat was amazing. We had a great time and it was what I was looking for in a tour.

The trip to the Algarve is a long day. While it is definitely worth it to experience just be prepared for a lot of driving. Our first stop was a beautiful beach. With tons o' steps down to it. Be prepared! I wish we had known that we were going to swim there. Would have worn a bathing suit since we got there before changing rooms opened. Water is blue and lovely. It is THE postcard for Lagos. From there we went on to see the amazing Cave of Benagli. Not to be missed. Water could be rough but felt very safe. The famous "beach in the cave" is open again and that was a great, unexpected perk. Stopped for a quick lunch and then the long drive home. Tiring but worth it.

This was a great way to get a taste of the Algarve coast during our family's stay in Lisbon. We were a group of 6 from 16 to 88 with varying degrees of mobility so a private tour that could pick us up from our hotel and drive us to all the points of interest in the Algarve was wonderful.

Awesome day! Must do tour to see the gorgeous coastline. Fun boat ride into the caves was breathtaking. Luis our tour guide was phenomenal he was so knowledgeable and he recommended a great restaurant overlooking the ocean. He gave us time to shop too. Very comfortable Mercedes van made it very enjoyable.

Nuno was an amazing and funny guide. He took my group of 7 on a private tour in an ac van and showed us amazing sites. He also offered to reserve us a table for lunch after the sea caves as when we returned it would be busy in that area. He also knew a lot of the history and geography of the areas he took us, which added more to the tour.
