Itinerary
After arriving at the Port of Key West, get to know this island city and its top attractions on an entertaining and educational Conch Tour Train excursion.
The Conch Tour Train is a tribute to industrialist Henry Flagler’s “railway over the sea,” an engineering miracle when he brought the railroad to Key West in 1912. This tour has treated visitors to a detailed look at the island city’s most historic and interesting attractions for more than 50 years.
The train departs daily from the Front Street Depot and ends roughly 90 minutes later at popular Mallory Square, where everyone comes to hang out, eat and shop. Throughout the tour, see the area’s top attractions and learn about its many residents, past and present. See some of the places Ernest Hemingway used to hang out and find out why Harry Truman spent so much time on the island. Listen to stories of pirates, Indians and wreckers and find out how they gave Key West its reputation.
A sightseeing tour of Key West has never been easier — or more fun — than this Conch Tour Train view of the island. Experience Key West in this unique way.
This excursion is located within a 10-minute walk to the cruise port, so you determine the time you return to your ship in Key West. Please allow yourself ample time to enjoy the excursion and ensure your timely return to the port. This excursion is not covered by our worry-free policy.

Very informative! A great way to spend an afternoon in the keys. Driver made us feel like we were locals.

Basic ride around to various points of interest. Did not go past the Southern Most Buoy because it was under construction. Definitely not worth $45 per person. Should have done the hop on hop off trolley.

Sit back and enjoy the history of Key West. Very interesting information. Tour was just the right length.

Great time! Very knowledgeable guide. We were a little put off that he referred to the Gulf as the Gulf of America. Kinda a hot button topic that should be said as just “The Gulf”! Also funny how the tour avoids the gay section of Dual!

Very knowledgeable and friendly! Skipper was a lot of fun going through all the streets and down Duval Street.

The tour was very enjoyable all employees extremely nice and helpful but the tour company dropped the ball they did not make reservations. Their QR code did not work. The new policy for the conch train is you have to have reservations.

I bought my tickets through Viator, but Key West Conch Tour Train was very rude to me when I went to show my tickets that I had on my phone and I had printed them out also. Lady in station made me fill out two sets of papers because I had bought from a third party. Save yourself some time and take the hop on hop off trolley instead.

Being able to know the amount of time between each drop off made me feel I could get out and stretch, browse in the store or use the restroom was a perk.

We had a wonderful afternoon. The jokes were corny but the scenery was great. I had my elderly mother with me and the crew could not have handled her better. They brought a step for her to make it easier for on/off transport and stored her walker for us.

The tour was very thorough and provided a lot of interesting information. I enjoyed that aspect of it. On the other hand, we found the tour operators to be very rude beforehand. I was not greeted at all, and when I had to get them to interact with me to ask a question, they were curt and unwelcoming. That is very uncommon for tour operators. I've been on several, and they were the rudest I've ever encountered. Additionally, even though the viator purchase states you can provide a paper ticket or an e-ticket, we experienced a great deal of trouble presenting our e-ticket to the counter. At first, they were refusing to honor our e-tickets, and therefore, did not intend to let us ride. Obviously, that was not going to be an option, and we had to help them troubleshoot the obvious. We should not have had to do that. This particular team needs a lot of work in the customer service department.

Tour was great but there was a ton of confusion in trying to get on the train. We pre-purchased tickets and were told to stand in line to get the actual ticket. Got in line and then got pulled out and told to wait for someone to bring us tickets. We waited about 15 minutes and then had to go find the person. Took about 20 minutes to get on a train.
