During our trip to key west we did 2 tours, this one was easily the best! We did a sunset cruise a/ dolphin watching and snorkeling! During our time aboard we saw Dolphins and Sea Turtles! And tons of fishies while snorkeling. The sunset was phenomenal, just like the crew. Captain Jude and crewmate Tomas were amazing. Both knowledgeable on the marine life and energized to give us all the best experience. I have a horrible fear of the sea which they helped me “overcome” for some snorkeling! I got in the water and couldn’t have been happier with that choice. I cannot recommend these guys more.

Travel out with 2 wonderful tour guides to hopefully find dolphins & then snorkel in a sponge reef while tethered off. Drinks are included! Our captain & guide were so knowledgeable about the Keys and so kind. The only thing we wish is that they had a microphone to use on the boat. It was sometimes hard to hear when you were at the back of the boat.

Snorkeling in KW is limited, but I think the captain got us out to where was fairly decent. A little too much time watching a couple of dolphins between 3 boats.

Megan_P, Jan 2026
While we saw many dolphins, and our guides were friendly and informative, the snorkeling was reallly bad. We did not see 1 fish and the water was not clear.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hello, Megan. We are thrilled to hear that you saw many dolphins, they are so playful and magical! We are also pleased you enjoyed our friendly staff. We regret that you had less than an amazing experience participating in the back country snorkeling of the gulf. The Gulf is a shallow water snorkel, if guests don’t proceed with caution and heed the guidelines of our crew they can kick up the bottom and diminish the clarity of the water. It is rare guests say they did not see any marine life, we regret this was your experience. We would love to take you out on a reef snorkel on your next visit, this may be the snorkeling experience you are looking for!

Great excursion from Key West

Amy_B, Jan 2026
My husband and I did this trip on Christmas Eve and had a wonderful time. We weren't sure we would really see dolphins, but we did! Our captain diligently drove the boat around until we found a group or two in the shallows. We then went to a different area to snorkel for a bit; there were some fish but not a ton of sea life (I didn't mind, it was fun just being in the water). They provided drinks after swimming and the vibe was very laid-back and friendly. We had a great time and would recommend this trip to others!

Great trip

The staff was amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and safety minded. It was a great experience. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

Rubbish snorkeling

Graham_H, Dec 2025
The snorkeling part of this trip was a waste of time. In about 45 mins of snorkeling we saw about 10 small grey fish and a miniscule amount of coral.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Hello, Graham. We regret you did not enjoy your experience with us. We offer many different trips, some going to the Reef, others to the Gulfside or sandbar. We always make our destination and offerings very clear upon booking. The Gulf of Mexico or the backcountry acts as a nursery to the larger coral reef in the Atlantic. That area is shallower (6-12ft deep) with a sandy bottom, sponge gardens, and small coral heads. We regret you were disappointed in the prevalence of sea life at the time of your snorkel. As we are dealing with marine life, we are unable to control exactly what guests may find, however we often spot colorful Sergeant Majors, starfish, sting ray, mangrove snapper, grouper, and even sea turtles in that area. It sounds like you were looking for something like our Reef Snorkeling trips where we snorkel the big coral structure in the Atlantic. We would love the opportunity to get you out on the water again and pair you with the perfect trip for your group. Please reach out to us directly for your next trip, and we'll be happy to assist you.

Happy watching dolphins swimming in the wild.

Donna_R, Nov 2025
It is tougher a swim to the reef. I started out,but had to turn around. Austin and Jude helped me back to the boat. Thanks guys.

Adrian_V, Nov 2025
Seeing the Dolphins were great we got to see plenty of them. The staff on Fury were also very nice and helpful. Did not like the area for the snorkeling. It was a mangrove with very little fish and I was a little disappointed. This excursion is great to see dolphins but not good for snorkeling.

Disappointing and crowded

JeanNicolas_G, Oct 2025
Barely saw dolphin and snorkeling spot is rather empty except a few fish. Now the dolphin it’s nature and there is not much they can plan. But snorkeling it’s just not a good spot. And for the dolphin you can see them much better in cap Canaveral where they swim in a channel so you can follow them quietly and in a much less crowded boat for similar price. Finally, if our captain, Jude, was nice and funny, the crew colleague was not nice. Now I get they must share instructions for everyone’s safety, but there is the manner.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Hello, Jean. We regret that you had anything less than an amazing experience with us out on the water. Our Dolphin Watch & Snorkel has a very high success rate for seeing dolphins- please see our many five star reviews! The wild dolphins that live in the ocean surrounding Key West do not migrate. They are curious creatures and rarely shy. Our crew members even know some of the dolphins by name! Unfortunately, there are the very few occasions when they roam away from their typical habitat. We are sorry that you were unable to enjoy viewing the wild dolphins during your tour. The Gulf of Mexico has patch corals that act as a nursery for the larger reef. Often spotted are fish, sea fans, sea rods, sponges, crustaceans, isolated coral formations, sometimes even sting ray or sea turtles. While not as vibrant as the reef, there is still typically much to see. Our crew members are known for their hard work and professionalism, your comments will be passed along to management for further review, we are always looking for ways to improve. We hope to have the opportunity to take you out in the future, maybe for a reef snorkel or a jet ski tour!

Well worth the money!

James_S, Oct 2025
The guides found us a huge pod of dolphins, they were informative and friendly. The snorkeling was well explained and fun. It was a wonderful experience.

Amazing trips highly recommend

We had an amazing time out on the water. Tge captain and her mate were super duper friendly and very very informative. We saw so many dolphins and got to snorkel for a bit. I highly highly recommend them for your trip out. I will definitely book again when we return.

Amazing Day

Spencer_H, Oct 2025
What an amazing day! It started off a lil rough, but before we knew it there were dolphins all over playing in the water. The captain made sure we were in the right position to view them. The crew were very accommodating, had water, sodas and alcohol of we wanted it. I highly recommend doing this.

Best Dolphin & Snorkeling Cruise Availabile

Tara_S, Oct 2025
This outing was amazing. The captain and Ally were very friendly and helpful. I also liked the all women crew. Our captain was very knowledgeable in finding the dolphins. She was the only sailboat that found them the day we were out. The coral reef snorkeling was so great.

Very Disappointing

Baron_M, Sep 2025
Very disappointing. Over promised and under delivered. We saw a few dolphins fins from very far away. Nothing as the website advertisement leads you to believe. The snorkeling portion was even more disappointing. The area we visited to snorkel had two lobsters pot with a few of lobsters that were not fully visible and we saw less than 12 very small fish; 2 to 3 inches. We saw more fish on the deck at our hotel. It was a nice boat ride, but not for $80.00 and all the expectations that were not met.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Hello, Baron. Our Dolphin Watch & Snorkel has a 98% success rate for seeing dolphins! It sounds like you did get to see them, just maybe not as close as you would have liked. The wild dolphins that live in the ocean surrounding Key West do not migrate and our crew members know where they typically hang out, however, we will not chase them. Fury is a voluntary member of the Dolphin SMART program which promotes responsible stewardship of wild dolphins in coastal waterways, as well as educating and encouraging responsible observation of wild dolphins. We regret that you did not enjoy snorkeling, even seeing the lobster and fish. The Dolphin Watch and Snorkel takes place in the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf or the backcountry acts as a nursery to the larger coral reef in the Atlantic. That area is shallower (6-12ft deep) with a sandy bottom, sponge gardens, and small coral heads. We would love the opportunity to get you out on the water again and pair you with the perfect trip for you!

Great boat ride!!

Molly_O, Sep 2025
We well taken care of on board. Our captain was knowledgeable and provided us with great information about dolphins. The weather was iffy and she was able to get us to places that were not effected by the weather.

Dolphins In Paradise

Douglas_B, Sep 2025
We were lucky to have Captain Lucy and Mate Ivy as our crew. We were also lucky that they found a large pod of dolphins for us to enjoy watching. Everything was perfect and it great bargin.

Could be Better

Isidro_C, Sep 2025
Weather wasn't cooperative and dolphins were'nt around until the end, but that isn't the crews fault. Capt Matt did a good job following the dolphins once they were found. However he was obnoxious when it came to tips. In summary, he stated that he is missing out on his school's football game to be with us and at the end he was suggesting tips should be $15 to $20/person. My party and I both agreed that we would have been happier with the other boats captain who had an upbeat attitude when they both met the guests at the dock.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Hello, Isidro. We are sorry to hear that the captain strayed from the standard tip speech, at the end of your tour. As Key West is a popular tourist destination, we welcome guests from all over the world, from a variety of backgrounds that may have differing tipping customs at home. That being said, the captain should never discuss what they are ‘missing’ or a specific tip amount and we’d like you to know we’ve brought your comments to management. It is customary for guests to tip based on the level of customer service they received, however, guests should never feel pressured into doing so. We are glad that you did see some magical dolphins while out on tour! We hope you give us another opportunity to have you aboard!

Great experience but booking & details of trip not accurate

sedwab60, Aug 2025
We were ten people. I booked it over a month before and site would only let me register 9 people so one person didn’t go. Also it said 12-3. Told to get there at 11:30 but boat didn’t leave til 1:00. We were standing outside in hot sun wasting to leave. The two Alllie’s who ran the boat were excellent!!!

Colleen_F, Aug 2025
Wonderful experience. Saw an entire family of dolphins including a new baby! Captain Lisa, Ivey and Jordan were all fantastic. Would recommend.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Thank you for the review, Colleen! How magical to see the whole pod, including a baby! The crew will appreciate the shout-out! We would love to have you out again!

A great way to spend a few hours…

Bonnie_K, Aug 2025
