The Dole plantation was great. Haleiwa town was quiet and the beach wasn't that grwat. I loved the train ride at tue Dole plantation. Our driver/tour guy Keitaro was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot of history from him.
Long day but two decent stops with plenty of time to explore. We were able to do the train and garden for an extra $20 and have time to get a Dole Whip and explore the gift shop with ample time. Haleiwa is a cute little town with lots of options for shopping and lunch. Two hours was plenty of time here.
Dole plantation was a good experience and our guide Keitara (sp?) was great. The plantation is very busy so be aware of that and plan your time accordingly. The North Shore was kind of disappointing, the beaches are not very pretty and no waves so no surfers. I really wanted to see surfing. Overall a good trip.
The tickets for the Dole plantation are not included in the Viator/TripAdvisor tickets. You are just paying for them to drive you around and give you some history. We didn’t have as much time at the plantation as we wanted. The time at Hale’iwa Town was plenty of time for lunch and souvenir shopping. Our driver is very knowledgeable and speaks multiple languages.
It was ok but we can’t understand our tour guide / driver at times . She would laugh at her jokes thou. She was late picking us up too but continue with the same time schedule. I like the you itself
Time on site, if you take the train ride is short. We did not have time to walk the maze. The pineapple ice cream is good!
The driver Chris was so informative. He told us all the details of the tour and answered all our questions. Awesome!
Taking the train and going through the garden is a great way to spend the time at the Dole Plantation. Both were very enjoyable.
Depending on the time of the year and the stage the pineapple fields are in, you might or might not see much other than harvested fields.
We enjoyed the Dole Plantation. This trip is good if you don’t have a car. We enjoyed the train ride, pineapple whip and the gardens.
I've been to Dole Plantation many times but my sister has not. We both enjoyed this trip very much. We were the only 2 on this tour, had the entire spacious tour bis to ourselves and our guide, Kimo, was friendly, funny & engaging. We had a fantastic time!
Lola was an amazing driver and guide. We learned so much about Hawaii just listening to her!! Highly recommended excursion!
Our tour guide Lola was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and informative. She made the tour great fun for the three of us.
Dole plantation was interesting . Add on $$ for the garden tour and train ride. Not much time given (90mins) to include browsing at the shops and eating . Our next stop at Haleiwa express was a disappointment . Just dropped us there for lunch and limited shops for browsing. More like tourist trap. Not much to do . Again limited time given.
