Our original tour cancelled because of the weather. The guides on this tour consulted a weather map and found a place outside the cloud cover. They drove us three hours to get there. There was no guarantee we would see the lights even then, but we saw a spectacular light show that defies description. At times there were streaks and swirls and curtains of light that involved much of the sky. Our guides had great cameras and took many gorgeous photos with the lights behind my husband and me. There is no extra charge for the photos. The guides are really lovely people and even brought snacks and water for us. I highly recommend this tour!

I had a good experience with the tour guides but we the aurora barely showed up that night which I’m not blaming the guides for. However, the guides told us that the aurora didn’t show for only 2 nights the entire season and this was the 3rd night. They told us the company will refund us which was ok with us. We also took a bunch of pictures to at least have some memories from that night. We were told we would get them within 2 weeks. After the trip, I called the company and we were denied a refund because they said the aurora showed up slightly. After 2 weeks, I called about the photos which We also didn’t receive. The company said the aurora didn’t come out so we don’t get the photos. So they basically robbed us of our moment. The person that was answering the calls was rude and unhelpful.

We would like to clarify the situation, because several parts of Your review are inaccurate and do not reflect what actually happened during Your tours with us.
First, the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and as we explain to every guest, we never guarantee 100% Aurora visibility. This is exactly why many guests — including You — book multiple nights in a row to increase their chances of seeing stronger displays and enjoy Alaska landscape.
During Your tours on both nights, our guide mentioned that this season has been very active and beautiful, and that we had only two nights with crystal‑clear skies but no Aurora. At no point did anyone promise refunds or mention anything about a “third night.” That is not a policy we offer, and it was never stated.
Our actual refund policy:
We give a full refund only in the case of 100% sky coverage and bad weather everywhere, when it is impossible to see the Aurora at any location.
In those rare cases, we personally call every guest and offer either a full refund or a free reschedule to another available day.
Your tour nights did not fall under this category.
About Your two nights with us:
Night 1:
You experienced one of the most spectacular Aurora nights of the season. You received lots of photos — even though You repeatedly cut in front of other guests who were waiting their turn. Despite that, our guide still made sure You got Your pictures.
Night 2:
The Aurora did appear, with lower activity than the previous night, and later it showed again for a short but beautiful period. Other guests were outside enjoying it. You both chose to stay inside most of the time waiting for something “spectacular,” and then later claimed the Aurora “barely showed.”
In Your phone call, You also claimed You took “at least 20 photos,” which is physically impossible with 28 guests and the limited time the Aurora was visible.
About the refund request:
You requested a full refund even though the Aurora appeared and the full service was provided. We cannot refund a tour simply because the Aurora was not as strong as the night before. That is not how Aurora tours work, and this is clearly stated in our policy.
About the photos:
You received Your photos from the first night — the night with the strong Aurora.
On the second night, the Aurora was faint and brief, and You did not participate outside during the moments it appeared. We cannot create photos that do not exist.
About the phone call:
Our staff member remained calm and informative throughout the conversation. The recording shows the tone came from Your side, not ours.
Leaving a one‑star review because Your refund request was denied — after receiving the service and after seeing the Aurora on both nights — is not fair to our team or to future guests.
We work extremely hard, in harsh conditions, to give every guest the best possible experience. We stand by the service we provided and the accuracy of the information above.

Just book this tour. Our guides were amazing, they provided snacks, water and warmers. They even gave us dessert to go after the tour. We saw the aurora for the first time and also got to really enjoy it. We got to enjoy it because you don’t have to worry about taking photos because they will do it for you. I would recommend this tour.

Loved the experience. Although nothing is ever guaranteed, we were able to obtain our goal in catching the Northern Lights. Our tour guide (don't remember his name) was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the Northern Lights. You can tell he was genuinely amazed and excited as we were when we were able to catch the lights. Even after catching the lights at one spot, you can tell on the way back he was invested in trying to catch them again. He had the camera and high tech equipment in taking great videos and photos for everyone. As the majority of people on our tour were more focused on trying to get their own photos on their camera phones, my wife and I seemed to be the only ones for him to take photos on his own equipment which we didn't mind. It was like a private shoot. lol. I don't think they understood that his equipment catches the light way better and he even kept encouraging the group to take many pictures on his equipment. The van was always a comfortable temperature and he provided water and various snacks to keep you filled. We brought pillows and rested while there are times you are just resting and waiting in the car until you are able to catch the lights. Great experience! Catching the northern lights was what my wife wanted to do on her birthday and we achieved that. At the end of the night, they provided a piece of cake that was very yummy. They are supposed to send us our pictures and video a week or two after so we haven't received that yet since we went on the tour just a few days ago. All we can say is thank you again for the phenomenal experience! The picture posted is our own picture on our camera phone. Can't wait for the professional pictures!

Let us clarify the situation.
The phone number You indicated is an international number, and even though the guide reminded the group several times to provide an email address, You never did. This is why You haven't received the link with the official pictures.
Regarding the experience, on the night of Your tour You, we traveled 160 miles away from Fairbanks to find the best conditions. While the Aurora showed up a little later, the rest of the group was very happy to see it. You constantly asked for bright, colorful "dancing" lights, but as nature is unpredictable, we cannot control the intensity of the display.
For some reason, You even asked for a refund despite seeing the lights. To put it in perspective, guests on the following night saw no lights at all and said they would have been very happy to be in Your place.
As a quick reminder, because the lights are a natural phenomenon, most people who want to get the most out of the experience book several nights with us to increase their chances of seeing a high-intensity show.

It was a truly fantastic experience! Our tour guide Ed is very experienced and knowledgeable. He knew where to go for the best view of Aurora, even on a cloudy night. We were blessed to see the northern lights three times on our night, with the lights dancing in the sky. Ed took so many great pictures and videos of us with Aurora together and sent it to us with an email link about one week after. The entire tour was well prepared with a heated van as well as water, snacks and hand & foot warmers to keep us warm and energized. Don’t miss it if you really want to see the northern lights with your own eyes at least once!

These people don’t only know what they are doing, they are truly passionate about it. Our tour guide was incredibly supportive, she talked about the Auroras in a way everyone can understand, and not only did we learn about it, we fell in love with it.
She made sure the whole time we were comfortable and made us feel like family. Loved the snacks and the hand and toe warmers, these two made a difference!
We looked for auroras and were blessed with a beautiful show at the end of the night. They made sure we not only got to experience this, but to LIVE this experience. Totally recommended if you are planning to come to Fairbanks! 100/10!

The tour started on time and handled professionally. It was a long drive to the viewing sight north of Fairbanks (about 1.5 hours and 70 miles). There was a short stop at an outdoor rest stop, about 10 minutes away from the final destination. The tour stopped there on the outbound and return trip. The van was kept heated to get out of the cold (must have been -11 degrees outside). We had a great night. The sky was clear and the aurora was visible as soon as we got to the site and was visible the entire time (about 3-4 hours) we were on site (KP index was 7 the evening of our tour). There was no need to move to a different location. The tour allowed multiple professional shots of the guest and the aurora. On the return trip the Elana stopped for one more spot to look at the aurora when she sighted another active view. Hand and toe warmers were provided to all the guests. (Note: pictures taken with an android phone on night mode). Overall, I highly recommend this tour.

This experience was beautiful! The auroras were out early for us, so our night was about 6 hours (8pm -2 am). We were able to see them on our way to the designated site and at the site. Let’s just say- BEAUTIFUL!! We saw the auroras dancing and were able to see the green and purple. We stopped on our way there and back whenever we saw an aurora. The guides are super knowledgeable on the auroras. They would get super excited hyping up the crowd. They took so many pictures of us. It was COLD. You could enter and exit the van as many times as you would like. I would definitely recommend this activity.

We had an amazing time on this tour. The weather was very cold, but we were able to return to the van as needed to warm up. The photography aspect was amazing and we got many beautiful pictures. It is a long night - we left our hotel around 8:00 pm and did not get back until 4:00 am. However, it was worth it. Nature is your bathroom, so be prepared for that! They gave us cake at the end, which was a really nice treat after being out in the cold all night. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the Northern Lights.

An amazing first aurora experience! Particularly loved the photos, free snacks (jerky, chips, cookies) and water, and pickup/dropoff directly back at our hotel. Our guides worked extremely hard to chase the aurora (we drove out like 3-4 hours outside of Fairbanks for optimal viewing conditions) and take amazing photos of us-- even in the cloud and cold weather-- and we were so happy we got to see the lights and have the memories captured for us. They sent us home with a slice of cake as well, which was so sweet of them. Highly recommended to book a tour with them as they are clearly so passionate and great at what they do.

This was an excellent tour! The skies were clear so we got a great show even though the index was low that night. Its an 8 hour tour, so they took us 70 miles north of Fairbanks far from any light or people. They will go 200 miles if needed, but we where blessed with clear skies. Professional photos where being taken the entire time the lights were visible. The vans are new, comfortable and constantly heated. There where 2 vans in the group so we had 2 great photographers/tour guides at our disposal. It was -20 to -35F, but if the lights were out, they were out braving the cold snaping 1 photo after an other. Meanwhile, we had access to a warm van, snacks, water, hand and foot warmers. They took great care of our needs! Their passion for what they do was clearly evident.

The hosts were absolutely fantastic . I didn't catch our hosts name, but from start to finish he was amazing. I came with my daughter and wow! We left so happy! His energy , care to details , information, comedy , and just every piece of the tour wasn't expected. Really outdid himself annnnd the views and pics absolutely stunning .
The only tiny negative was the group we were with, they were very rude about the host . So I suggest make sure as guests , do your research on weather and dress appropriately. That is not the hosts fault.
As a person that has driven long hours in Alaska weather , our host drove , hosted , guided , took pics , and really took care of us all amd drove back with a smile . So I commend him and def recommend. Be kind to your hosts and their efforts :)

The Northern Lights experience was absolutely incredible—the team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Host was very knowledgeable and walked us through the whole process behind northern lights formation. When reached the spot, they patiently waited for best wave of northern lights to appear and taken as many pictures as we needed. They ensured that all the guests are accommodated well and even provided with some treats prior to dropping us back at the hotel. Overall this trip was beyond my expectations and definitely recommend for anyone who is visiting Fairbanks for northern lights viewing. Can’t wait to see the photos taken ❤️

The operator was very professional and knew the route extremely well. He clearly enjoys what he does and spent the day explaining the history and stories behind each viewpoint in great detail. He was energetic, entertaining, and kept the group engaged throughout the trip.
He also used an app to track when the aurora borealis might appear, which took away the worry of wasting time or money trying to chase it ourselves.
We reached the Arctic Circle under bright sunshine, traveling through miles and miles of pristine wilderness. It was truly epic and definitely one more item checked off my bucket list.
He made sure everyone returned to the hotel safely after 1:00 AM. We started at noon, making it a full 13-hour tour. You truly get what you pay for.

Our guide Elena was nothing short of perfection!! She showed up right on time, we signed waivers and headed out.. she drove us almost THREE hours to clear skies. And her enthusiasm when the lights showed up was like she’d seen them for the first time!! I highly recommend this group for aurora chasing, we were warm in the van, she had tier one snacks and gave us a sweet treat at the end of our tour. I would definitely us her again, simply amazing!!!!

The tour was well planned and the tour guides were friendly and courteous. They gave regular updates on when the aurora activity started and when we can sit inside the van and warm up a bit. They took a lot of amazing photos for us.

I was a little bit skeptical when I saw the activity lasts about 10 hours. Thoght around 4 hours. Got so dedicated driver and photographer who insisted on showing us the beauty of aurora. They drove out 4 hours finding the perfect place and time for experiencing northern lights. We stopped at the 4th or 5th location they seemed on White Mountain, where it's about 120 miles out of Fairbanks.
The view was really fabulous for first time viewer.
We were picked up from hotel at about 7:15pm and returned back at about 5:30am.
Really appreciate the carefulness from driver and photographer, highly recommend.

It was an amazing experience of chasing the aurora lights, the tour Kim is so professional and patient to drive us to 2 different spots to catch the lights, also photoed a lot amazing pictures with their professional cameras, and they also provided snacks, water, hands and feet warmer, which makes the trip much easier and warmer, plus gave us some cakes at the end of the trip. It’s a lengthy trip, but for the vehicle is equipped with warm AC(Mercedes-Benz van), seats are comfortable too, highly recommended if you come to Alaska and choose this group as your guide to chase Northern Lights.

Elena was super communicative and ensured a smooth pick up and drop off so that we were able to catch our train leaving Fairbanks in the morning with time to spare.
