We pick up most places in the Fairbanks area. If your pick up location isn't available when booking please send me an email to inquire about pick up. We can't do pick ups in North Pole but can meet you in Fairbanks. Look for a tan Chevy 15 passenger van with the moose head logo on the door :)

Not only were we graced by the lights, but Nathan captured us in stunning photos so we weren’t stressing over figuring out our cameras. Nathan was a fantastic tour guide and photographer! The hot pizzas and cookies on a cold night were a treat too. We took another aurora tour with a different provider the night before and were in a huge group crammed into a tight cabin with light coming out of it and people flashing their flashlights in our eyes while they tried to figure out their cameras to capture the lights. Instead, Electric Moose provided a very small group of only 10 people, so it felt like hanging out with a few friends, and Nathan had individual time with each of us to capture all sorts of gorgeous pics in his expertly-located remote secret spot where there was minimal light and beautiful scenery that made our pics stunning. Nathan was so enthusiastic it was contagious. Our group was sharing pics and marveling at the lights together all night and although the temps were low and winds high, Nathan’s heated tent provided the perfect toasty warming shelter. We woke up later in the day to the spectacular album of pics. This tour made for a once-in-a-lifetime night for us and we absolutely recommend it!

Nathan came get prepared, with us sitting in an ice fishing tent, pizza oven, hand and toe warmers, etc. he was very knowledgeable about the northern lights, conditions, how it happens, and more. He also took incredible pictures of us, both with light painting and with the Aurora borealis. We had a wonderful experience. I couldn't recommend this tour enough

Nathan was informative and kept the energy level at a good pace so you never even noticed the time lapsing! I love the small group atmosphere and the people we were with were awesome (I think in no small part to Nathan’s personality). I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to do an Aurora tour. His warming tent helped so much and the pizza was good and filling. Loved it!

If you’re coming to Fairbanks during aurora season, do not miss this tour! Nathan is the real deal. A kind, genuine person, he brings a unique approach to viewing the northern lights. After picking up the group in his spacious van, he drives out to the viewing location and sets up a warm, cozy shelter complete with chairs, heaters, and a vented pizza oven. The group’s comfort is always foremost in his mind. After an engaging conversation with the group while snacking on pizza, we go outside for professional photo shoots under the aurora. Later on, we enjoy hot drinks and warm cookies. Then Nathan packs everything up and drives us back to our pickup spots. A delightful experience, which I wouldn’t hesitate to repeat.

This phrase perfectly describes our experience with Nathan, who is not only a great guide and an excellent photographer, but also a wonderful person. I would return to this tour a thousand times. It got really cold (-30c)! The warming tent made it very comfortable (pizza was delicious).
Nathan helped with setting up my wife's iPhone to take amazing pics and video!
He gave me recommendations on setting my DSLR to capture the best images!
He gave a great lesson on the aurora and how and why it's created and more!

Get the professional photogopher who cares about making it about you! Don't want to feel like just another tourist with a sore neck staring straight up, take this experience and feel like your part of the family. Aurora sightings can be unpredictable and not guaranteed. If your lucky enough to catch them, don't trust your once in a lifetime experience photo, by taking a cell phone photo. Leave it to this professional Aurora Photographer, to make the night interesting, fun and end with high quality shots. Pizza and hot drinks were the cherry on top, for the night we went. The wind chill had to exceed -30, but we kept diving into the warming tent between shots. Amazing photos were achieved, only by his guided hand. My included photo was by phone but its a sneaky behind the scenes shot of the effort.

We saw hints of the aurora before clouds stole the show, but we kept hoping. Nathan made sure we were toasty warm and deliciously well fed during our odyssey. Since lady aurora did not return, he took awesome steel wool photos of us. Very cool. Highly recommend

If you book any aurora tour at all, please let it be this one!! Nathan does this tour as a one man band and he did not disappoint!! Everything was amazing from start to finish. Not only does he offer pizza, warm cookies, and hot drinks, his character and bubbly personality allows for a very friendly and inclusive interaction. He offers candid and professional photos and goes to great lengths to capture the perfect picture. Nathan is so great and really makes the tour enjoyable while waiting for the lights. We did not see the lights on our original tour booked, so he let us join another tour at no additional cost! We highly recommend booking this tour while in Fairbanks!

This was such a unique and wonderful experience. We had the opportunity to go out on this adventure twice due to not seeing Aurora much on the first try. Both times were fun, informative, and felt like a one of a kind Alaskan experience!! The great photos make the experience stand out compared to other tours we went on. I would absolutely book this tour again on another visit!!

I originally booked for 2/17/26, but the weather forecast predicted a winter storm and I was so anxious that I wouldn’t be able to see the aurora on this trip. Nathan was incredibly kind and helpful from the start. He offered several thoughtful solutions — including taking us to Chena Hot Springs and the Ice Museum on 2/17, moving the aurora tour to 2/18 and/or 2/20, and even offering a full refund if we preferred.
We decided to go on the aurora tour on 2/18. Nathan carefully monitored the weather and suggested we leave earlier than planned. That turned out to be the best decision ever — the aurora started dancing right when we arrived at our viewing spot! It was absolutely magical.
Nathan is extremely knowledgeable (I learned so much about the aurora!), flexible, friendly, and truly accommodating. We captured amazing photos and had such a wonderful time. The whole experience was unforgettable.
If you’re thinking about booking — do it. You won’t regret it!

It was an extremely windy and cold night so I was especially grateful for this tour with it's heated tent and hot pizza and cookies. The lights were beautiful that day. Nathan drove us 50 miles away on to a pullout by the road and took some cool pics as well.
Not sure it's worth the price - you can even see the lights for free if you're willing to drive. But it's definitely an excellent experience.

It was absolutely worth attending this activity. Nathan is very professional — he explained the science behind the aurora to us and even prepared food for everyone. Most importantly, he is a true professional aurora hunter.
I was actually going to give up at the beginning because it had been snowing all day. However, Nathan found the perfect spot, and we were able to see the Northern Lights with our own eyes, not just through a camera. It was an unforgettable experience.
I truly appreciate everything Nathan did for us. He also took amazing photos for us to remember this special night.

Nathan was absolutely wonderful! We had a blast learning about the aurora, local eateries, and his background/history woth photography, coupled with Nathan’s witty sense of humor. This was also a really special trip because I was able to propose to my girlfriend/fiance! Nathan captured the best pictures and truly made the night special.
Disclaimer: BE PATIENT! our aurora lights didn’t appear till about 3AM and we all thought they wouldn’t show…we ended up having one of the best light experiences! So be patient! And trust Nathan!

If you're looking for a top-tier Aurora experience, this northern lights photography tour is a must. Nathan is a truly skilled photographer who takes stunning shots; you can immediately tell he knows exactly what he’s doing with his equipment and the conditions. While many people don't realize that the lights can never be guaranteed, this tour handles that reality perfectly with a generous policy that lets you go again at no cost if the aurora doesn't show up the first night. Nathan is awesome! He is very passionate about his business and has definitely done the research to make seeing the Northern Lights enjoyable for his guests. My son and I had a great time. We were fortunate to have been able to see the lights pretty much right away. Nathan took some fantastic photos. We actually got a preview of them which was nice. Nathan’s warming tent was amazing and kept us warm during our trip. He made us pizza and hot drinks. We talked about the Northern Lights and what to look for. I would highly recommend this trip.

I highly recommend this experience. Nathan is super professional and went above and beyond to make our adventure special. It was -40 degrees outside and we still felt comfortable the whole time. The pizza is excellent and a nice touch. But most of all we got an amazing Northern Lights viewing and photos of a lifetime!

I planned a trip to Fairbanks, Alaska for a bucket-list experience seeing the Aurora Borealis. Luckily, I found Electric Moose Studios through Viator. Nathan, the owner, immediately texted us to prepare us for our experience. He even referred us to a guide to show us around Fairbanks.
Nathan picked us up at our hotel and took us out into the country away from the city lights. The aurora‘s were not as good as he had hoped, but he entertained us in his warm-up tent with warm drinks and pizzas fresh from his pizza oven. He also taught us about the origins and forecasting of the aurora’s. While we waited, he took us outside for fun pictures with sparklers and lighted lanterns. Because the lights were not as good as he’d hoped, he invited us to join him again when he had room for us. We ended up spending two more nights with him, each as wonderful as the first.
We have never in all our travels encountered a guide who cared so much about making sure we saw what we had come to see. You will not regret hiring Nathan for your bucket list trip to the Aurora Borealis. In all of our travels we have never had a guide like Nathan. He really cares for his travelers and wants them to see what they came for. Plus you get the pictures he takes for free on the link he sends you. What’s not to like?

We had an incredible experience on this aurora tour with Nathan! Who’s a local that owns the company. He’s knowledge and deeply passionate about the land and the northern lights—he shared insights, stories, and tips that you would never get on a larger commercial tour.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a truly unique experience. It’s the kind of adventure you’ll think about long after it’s over. Lastly, with his photography background, Nathan was able to take some breathtaking photos!

Absolutely amazing!!! Nathan was such a great guide, his passion and excitement made the tour unforgettable. His excitement every time the northern lights flared was contagious and made the experience all the better. He for sure knows his stuff. His many years of experience in professional photography shows. Our photos were everything I could have hoped for. The warming shelter was cozy and allowed those of us on the tour to have great conversations and enjoy each others company. Nathan is a perfect blend of personable, professional, and an all around genuine guy. Even if there are no lights the evening you book he has so many creative surprises to bring joy to your night. He will also try to reschedule you to a better night to hopefully ensure your chances of seeing the northern lights. The couple with us had gone out the previous night but there was too much could cover so he had them come out the next night with us. Ultimately he just wants you to have a great time and share his zeal and excitement for the northern lights.
