It’s a great way to see the city! Tour guide Sarah was very knowledgeable and did a great job taking us around.

I have been on several segway tours over the years and feel like there are less opportunities to explore cities via segway. Fortunately, my husband and I were guided by Kevin in Chicago. After completing the waiver sheets, helmet fitting and training, we were off. We began our tour near Millennium Park and were able to ride through Grant Park and along the Michigan Lake coast. We were able to see some of Chicago’s highlights while having fun. Kevin was always willing to snap a picture of us too. I recommend it!

We had such a great time- Tammy was our guide and she emphasized all the safety planning, eased us into riding and was incredibly patient during our ride! She was also a complete hoot - even my grumpy teenager was laughing and having fun! Thanks Tammy!!

Very fun and educational about the history and sights of Chicago. Super fun and educational and hard to hit 100 characters
Perry_F, Jun 2026
Tammy did a wonderful job training everyone how to use the Segway and the tour was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend.

Amazing experience! We had a blast on the Segway going around the city!
Great mix of scenery; buildings, the lake, stadium! And our guide was very kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

My family, including my teenagers, enjoyed this tour very much. Riding the Segway was fun and easy to learn. It is a great way to see that part of the city.

Our guide, Kevin was great. It was raining and we were apprehensive about still going but are so glad we did. The Segways were fun, Kevin was informative and friendly, and Chicago is beautiful.

Thank you for the wonderful review, Diana!
We're so glad you decided to stick with the tour despite the rainy weather. Chicago can be beautiful in any conditions, and sometimes a little rain makes for an even more memorable adventure!
It's great to hear that Kevin helped put you at ease and made the experience both fun and informative. We'll be sure to share your kind words with him.
Thank you for choosing to explore Chicago with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another Segway adventure the next time you're in town!

I found this tour through Viator and it was really fun experience. Our tour guide Will was really knowledgeable about every spot that we visited. He taught us how to ride Segway, all the do’s and don't s and cleared path for us. 2 hours were best spent in the city covering important spots around the lake. We really liked the tour and recommend this as must try while you are in the city.

If you don’t like standing around and reading plaques in museums all day, or you can’t find parking and are walking around Chicago’s parks but that’s too slow for you, or if you’re a human, you’ll like this! It’s fun from the hands-on aspect and the novelty of gliding on a Segway. Totally worth it, Chicago has a large and beautiful outdoor expanse that’s just perfect for Segwaying along. Marshall was our guide, he was super knowledgeable and shared many interesting details about Chicago! Only recommendation other than to DO IT!! is get there early if you’re a tourist. It’s a lot harder to find than we thought. The tour ends at the same time regardless of when you get there, so if you arrive early for training you’ll get the most time on a Segway in the parks.

Great easy flat Segway ride through the amazing Chicago river front and Grant Park. Tami was a wonderful historical tour guide! Highly recommend it!!
Sung_C, Nov 2025

The segway tour is a great way to see the downtown and some areas and history you maybe wouldn't know about. Greg was a very knowledgeable guide.
Paul_B, Oct 2025
Our guide, Colton, was amazing. My wife and I were the only ones booked for the tour so Colton took good care of us. He was funny, informative, and an all around good dude. The tour was about 1.5 hours long and we got to see some amazing sites. Highly recommended!

Kevin our tour guide was AMAZING!!! I highly recomend this tour, this is a must to do when visiting Chicago..

Half this tour is riding a Segway and the scenery, but the other half are the stories and jokes. We had 3 people from England with the tour and I noticed that Michael isn't a positive ambassador of America. He kept saying lines to indicate how bad we (America and Chicago) were at this or that. It happened often enough that I leaned over to one of the Brits and apologized letting him know there is far more positive about his and our country and this city. I'm only a visitor to Chicago but I found myself defending. I think Michale needs a re-work on his material and stories. Tour groups are Ambassadors of the city and country they represent. A little negative- sure but almost 95% negative- nope.

Hi Dana,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and for joining our Lakefront & Museum Campus Segway Tour. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed riding the Segways and seeing the city’s amazing lakefront scenery.
We’re sorry if parts of the storytelling came across as more negative than intended. Our goal is always to make the tour fun, informative, and a reflection of the pride we have in Chicago. We’ll be speaking with Michael to make sure future tours strike that balance of humor, history, and positivity that guests expect.
We truly appreciate your feedback and hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you back for another ride through the best of Chicago.

Great day with Will as our guide! Saw lots of cool sites. Very interesting guide who gave us lots of fun information.
Brian_M, Oct 2025
Mike was a great tour guide. He made sure we were comfortable before taking off on our tour and he was very safe navigating across busy areas. We explored areas that we haven’t seen in Chicago and learned a lot of fun facts about the sites. Definitely recommend !
Joseph_C, Oct 2025
Will was my tour guide and he did an amazing job trying to get everyone involved. The tour route was fun and I had a great time. I would recommend going to this event and I would do this again.
Lorraine_S, Sep 2025
Our guide, Michael, was very informative and appeared to really enjoy his job. Waited patiently for our friends who were lost and did not take away from our time. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Matt was an excellent tour guide. He was warm, welcoming and funny! The segway tour was an absolute blast! Highly recommend!
Julie_R, Sep 2025
The tour was beautiful. Wil our guide was great she had a lot of knowledge this allowed us to see things we would not have been able to in a condensed period of time and gave us a great overview of the beauty of the city.
Carol_L, Sep 2025
We lucked out with Marshall, a super friendly and knowledgeable guide on our first ever Segway tour. A great way to spend our last afternoon in Chicago! Highly recommend!!!
Response from Host, Oct 2025

We’re so glad your first Segway experience was with us and that Marshall helped make it a memorable Chicago send-off. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with him-he truly loves what he does. We appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you back on your next visit!

Colton and Will were friendly and jovial. We were the only guests so we had our own private tour with Colton which was pretty cool to get all of his attention.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you, Angel! We’re so happy to hear you had a great time with Colton and Will. A private tour always makes for an even more personal experience, and it sounds like you had a memorable one. We truly appreciate you choosing to explore Chicago with us.

Our guide was Micheal, and he was so fun to have as our guide. He was patient and that was great considering it was our first time riding. I would definately do it again! We went on a quiet Monday, there were not alot of crowds at 10am on a Monday morning, This was a plus!
peter_J, Aug 2025
Shannon was a great tour guide. He was energetic, was patient with us, and offered to take some photos of me and my partner
Nancy_M, Aug 2025
Tammie is the best tour guide and instructor!!
So much fun and great information!
Thank you for all the fun
Robert_S, Aug 2025
Wonderful views of city and lake. We had been concerned the 92F and no clouds would be unbearable, but our guide Michael kept us in the shade and moving. Learned history I hadn’t heard before, and had plenty of time to ride the Segway, a unique and fun experience
Sandeep_N, Aug 2025
We’ve lived in the city for a long time and never quite experienced the lakefront and museum campus quite the same way. Shannon was a hilarious and informative guide for the activity and the Segway tour overall was a blast. I would recommend this activity for anyone looking to See the lakefront, learn how to Segway take some beautiful photos, learn about Chicago history or all of the above.
