It was an amazing experience! They are so nice and knowledgeable definitely recommend! It was also cool of them to squeeze me in especially because I’m a solo traveler. Most dog sledding companies required 2 people. 5 stars ⭐️

What a great time getting to experience one of Alaska’s great treasures- dogsledding!! Robert and Jae have raced at the highest levels of competition and were more than willing to share their expertise with us. Their energy was only surpassed by that of their dogs who wanted nothing more than to pull us in a buggy suitable for dry terrain. After being whisked around the track, we were able to meet and pet all of the dogs, including Yoda and Leia- two of their puppies aptly named, having been born on May the Fourth. We highly recommend you go see Robert, Jae, and all of their dogs for a safe, energetic and family-friendly adventure in Anchorage!!

Very informative, fun tour guides and a great time playing with the dogs! Wear clothing that can get dirty. When the dogs take off they kick back some rock and dirt. Also as you give them scrittches they leave little drool presents!

Great dog sledding experience for all ages!

    Learning about dog mushing

Had a wonderful experience learning about dog mushing, getting to go on a ride with the dogs, meeting some pups; it was a very fun experience - highly recommend it!

Such a great experience! My 9 year old daughter absolutely loves the hands on experience of getting to pet the dogs, hold the puppies, and get a taste of what mushing is like.

A great way to learn about dog sledding and its important role in Alaskan culture! The staff was great explaining the history and current ways of training and raising the dogs. The ride was short (to keep the dogs cool in the “warm” 50 degree weather) but it was fun and fast! The kids loved it and were cheering for more! After the ride we got to meet and pet the dog team and meet and play with a few future race dog puppies.

Such a cool experience and a chance to interact with these amazing dogs!

This was such a cool experience, even if it wasn't in the time of season where you go through the snow. The yard is not deep in the mountains but still in a cool area with a large route to run with the dogs. When you first get there, you get a good history lesson on the iditarod and a tour of the facility and then you meet the dogs. You get a chance to mingle with the dogs and then you go on a 1.3 mile ride on the path and get a real good feel for how strong the dogs are and how excited they get running the trail. This was a great experience and I totally recommend doing it when you are in Anchorage.

10/10 experience of Alaskas biggest sport!

    Kayla_M, May 2026
I knew nothing about dog sledding before this and felt like I learned so much by the end! They give a great info session about the sport. Obviously getting to ride the cart around the track with the dogs and meeting the dogs was the best part! They are so incredible and powerful. Puppies are also there right now which was awesome to see the lil pups in training. Would recommend this experience to anyone especially if in Alaska for the first or only time or any dog lover. Robert was really cool to learn from since he himself has competed in the Iditarod! Jay was incredible giving information about the sport and very hospitable and friendly. I appreciated that they took the time to take some pictures and videos as well. Thank you both Jay and Robert for a truly once in a lifetime amazing experience!! I enjoyed it so much!!

    Great time

Who let the dogs out? Who, who

    Alexandra_D, May 2026
Very informative, fun, fun and fun. When we arrived, they spoke about the gear, the dog training, the food, etc. while showing us pictures and videos of the different races they have participated during the years. Then, they took small groups to the sled and meet the dogs; the rest of the group, stayed petting the other dogs. Once back, the next group went, etc. When everyone was done, we were able to pet the puppies. After petting them, we went inside where they shared pictures and videos they took for us and answered questions we had. Very nice experience; friendly team and super cute doggies. I will recommend this to everyone.for sure

    Dogsledding history and puppies!

    Julie_H, Sep 2025
We were lucky to squeeze in a visit before our flight and had a great time! We learned a lot about the history of dogsledding and the Iditarod. Robert and Jai have great experience and knowledge to share and, of course, loved introducing us to their dogs. We got a quick run on the sled - and saw how powerful the dogs are - before getting to meet them individually and even give a few belly rubs! And the puppies were precious! Highly recommend this experience!

    Great experience

What a great experience! We did this as a last-minute excursion, but so happy we did! Robert and Jay provided a wealth of knowledge and history regarding dog sledding in Alaska. We had a fabulous time. The dogs were awesome, and the puppies were adorable! Great experience and highly recommend!

    A peak Alaskan experience

    Coley_S, Aug 2025
Really awesome experience. The folks that run this tour are super friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. Getting pulled around in the cart by the dogs was great. You can tell they REALLY want to run. All of the dogs are friendly, and each have their own personality.

    Automatic reminders need tweaking!!

    Chuck_J, Aug 2025
The tour was cancelled. What I don’t understand is why I continued to receive notifications to be there and then be contacted repeatedly to rate my experience.

1st time experience with dog sledding. Also got to pet those awesome huskies after the ride. Highly recommended.

    Awesome experience!!

It was awesome to learn about the history of dog sledding and actually doing the dog sledding itself. Plus you get to pet the dogs at the end that’s always a plus .. pro tip don’t spend so much time recording as they will be recording you especially in the end because it looks much better when you don’t have the phone in your hand recording and you’re actually enjoying the experience lol

    Matthew_B, Aug 2025
The guides are very informative and have deep knowledge of dog sled racing history and actual experience racing sleds. You get to meet the dogs, take a ride with them pulling a wheeled sled, then cuddle with a couple puppies. Great fun!! Definitely worth the time.

    My favorite activity- 5++ stars!

    LouiseA_K, Aug 2025
Our guides were excellent! They truly love their dogs. Our time with them went way too quickly. The first part of the trip they explained the history and sport. The second part we got to meet the dogs and go for a ride. I highly recommend this experience! You can’t help falling in love with all the dogs!

I had an extraordinary experience meeting true enthusiasts and experts in the field. Their passion and knowledge were truly inspiring, making the event both enjoyable and informative. I highly recommend it to all dog lovers!

    Fun activity!

    Tobin_M, Jul 2025
Thank you, Jay and Robert! We had fun today! This one hour activity is split in half, the first 30 minutes are spent inside the building learning about the history of sled dog racing in Alaska, and the second half is spent outside meeting the dogs and puppies. It includes a four minute ride behind the dogs in a cart around the track. It really lets you feel the power of the dogs! Robert’s grandfather was the father of the Iditarod and integral to getting it started. His brother won the Iditarod and his uncle won the world champion sprinting race. This met our needs as it was easily accessible since it is in Anchorage and because it was a fraction of the cost of a the glacier dog sledding. We got our puppy fix today with Princess Leia and Baby Yoda, they were the cutest!

Thanks so much! You 2 are awesome!!!

    Nicholas_E, Jul 2025
Dogsled Alaska is incredible. So attentive in all parts of the tour. Great how close they are to Anchorage. Loved every part of the experience! You can tell this is their passion; honored to be witnessed to it. The doggies love belly rubs and butt scratchies!

Way too overpriced for a four-minute ride. They said that the dogs couldn’t run longer on a day over 50 degrees, so then lower the price!

    Dedication!!

    Holly_H, Jul 2025
That's what you'll see and feel when you partake in this experience! As a former husky owner I've always been enchanted with the Ididerod and this was a chance to get up close and personal with both musher and the team. Especially loved the puppies!

    Had a Great Time!

    grzybowskic, Jul 2025
J and Robert were very knowledgeable and own the dogs that are used in the run. The run is very bumpy and short but by the end you want to go again. Smile. The puppies were sweet and special. Very good excursion.!

    So Much Fun!!
