We had a wonderful day tour from Vienna to Budapest. The schedule was really well balanced, giving us just the right amount of time to explore both Buda and Pest on our own without ever feeling rushed. Markus was a fantastic guide — knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great insights that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.

Expertly handled

It was VERY long, and the drive from Salzburg to Vienna was 3.5 hours, so take a book, or if you sleep easily, then sleep. The journey is more enjoyable, and our guide Lily/Liily/Lillie was amazing. Point of order: if the stickers on the back of the sets say that you should ask the driver about buying bottled water from them... ignore it. They don't have water. Hallsatt is a must. Join the hundreds of other tourists there. Be warned, however, that many of the shops/restaurants there do NOT take cards, so take cash with you. All in all, a great 13 hours.

A must do tour

We rode the train from downtown Vienna to the palace, and it was easy to do. There’s a stop right at the palace. Our guide Daniela was wonderful. She knew a lot about the family who lived in the palace and gave great insights on our tour. The gardens are extremely large and you could spend two days exploring the gardens alone and they are very beautiful. I would recommend it even though we did not have time for that. There’s also horse and buggy tours that will take you through the gardens if you choose.

Excellent Day Tour of Bratislava and Budapest

Great day exploring Bratislava and Budapest! The vehicle was very comfortable, and though it was a long day, there were stops throughout and so many interesting sights. The guide was very friendly and accommodating, asking for any requests the day before. It provided a wonderful opportunity to see these capital cities, and I look forward to returning to Budapest to see more!

Very well planned and organised trip. There were a couple of stops on the way for using toilets and having food with plenty of time. Smooth journey to the beautiful Halstatt. Our guide, Mark, was very organised and attentive. We had plenty of time in Halstatt and went to see a castle by the lake as well. Brilliant experience.

Dieter really did a fantastic job in telling the story of Adolf Hitler and his association with Vienna. He took plenty of questions on the tour and had answers to them all. The pace was slow and comfortable everything was explained in detail. We both learned a lot on this tour especially about Austria's involvement in both world wars especially the links with Hitler.

Amazing Day in Wachua Valley

We had an awesome day exploring the Wachau Valley with Ron. He was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, easygoing, and made the whole day feel relaxed and fun. The scenery was beautiful, the wineries and wines were excellent, and the small-group format made the experience even better. Ron shared just the right amount of information about the wines, the region, and the history without making anything feel too formal. We also really enjoyed our visit to the beautiful town of Dürnstein. It was a great addition to the day and gave us some time to walk around, explore, and take in the atmosphere of this charming little town along the Danube. It was a great mix of wine tasting, sightseeing, beautiful scenery, and simply enjoying the Wachau Valley. We never felt rushed and really enjoyed the entire day. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend this tour—and Ron was terrific!

We did the Hallstatt Guided Day Trip from Vienna with the boat ride option, and it was a highlight of our trip. The instructions for getting on the bus were seamless and very smooth — no confusion about where or when to meet. Our guide Alex was excellent: knowledgeable, engaging, and kept the energy lively the entire day. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed sharing the history and stories along the route. One tip for future travelers: be back at the bus on time. Drivers in Vienna operate under strict driving-hour regulations and have to stay within a set number of hours per day, so a few passengers running late kept the group waiting and put unnecessary stress on our poor driver. Just something to keep in mind so everyone can help the day run smoothly. Hallstatt itself was absolutely beautiful, and the boat ride was fantastic. There was a small hiccup with the boat option along the way, but the company handled it well and made things right — everything ended up going smoothly regardless. Overall, a wonderful, well-organized day trip with a guide who made it even better. Highly recommend.

A perfect quartet

We arrived in Vienna today and had this concert booked as our first activity. The setting of St. Anne's church is absolutely beautiful and sets the stage for the music of Mozart and Beethoven. The Lerchenfeld Quartett features two violins, a viola, and a cello. They fill the venue with perfect music. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and would recommend it to everyone.
