Tour guide Peter excellent and highlights a lovely in Hallstatt & the Lakes region

Excellent day out to the Lakes regions and village of Hallstatt. Along the way, we stopped at or saw other lakes / villages (Attersee, Mondsee, St. Gilgen, etc). The lakes are beautiful and Hallstatt is stunning. Our driver/guide, Peter, was great: friendly, knowledgeable, a sly sense of humor, and a good driver - important as it is a LONG time on the road. We also had a very good short (<1 hr) historical tour to orient ourselves once we arrived in Hallstatt, and plenty of time for a leisurely lunch and wander around town. All in all highly recommend!

It’s a very busy day but...

Siggi was our tour guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about history! She gave a ton of information about locations we were visiting and even had pictures and maps with her to show us for additional context. The tour covered aspects of Hitler's time and influence in Vienna as well as Austrian history pertaining to the country itself and WW2. Highly recommend this tour!

An enjoyable visit to Hallstatt with an enjoyable guide

We traveled in a van with five other people. Our guide, Emil - I hope I spelled his name right - is a native of Vienna and very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the Salzkammergut region. We stopped for a coffee/restroom break on the way and again at a tiny castle, Schloss Ort, in Lake Traunsee. When we arrived at Hallstatt, we had a little over three hours to wander, shop, and have lunch. The boat wasn't operating because of the weather, and the tour operator refunded some of our money because of that. Emil helped keep the conversation interesting on the ride back, and we returned to Vienna in a timely fashion. I would book this tour with Emil again!

A very good Salzburg tour

We took the one day trip to Salzburg. Joseph was our driver/docent. Joseph shared historic and geographic information about Salzburg, Austria and Vienna (our starting point). The tour was informative and we had time to walk Salzburg on our own, tour the Christmas market, ride the funicular to the Archbishop's Palace and have the most excellent chocolate torte at The Hotel Sacher. We did not feel rushed. Joseph was also an excellent driver.

We had a fun tour with our guide Marco through the Wachau Valley and wine region. Because it was October, we started with a guided tour through Melk Abbey where we also had lunch. The highlight for me was driving beside the Danube and stopping at two wineries for a tasting of the lovely and well-made Wachau white wines. One of the most charming wine regions I have visited.
