Don’t Go On Tuesday

We took the tour on a Tuesday in October. The main attraction was to be the Palace but much to our chagrin it was closed on Tuesdays. I would have expected the tour company to know this. We were to walk to the charming city center and enjoy a nice lunch in an outdoor setting

We are sorry about your experience, but its not true. Castle terrace and gardens are always open to public and are free to enter. You wanted to see the inside museum which was closed on special occasion.

Overall, it’s a lot of driving for a half day tour. Was it really worth leaving Vienna? Maybe if a tour guide had been included. Without such I’d pass on this.

We’d like to kindly clarify that it takes only around 50 minutes to travel from Vienna to Bratislava, as they are the two closest capital cities in the world—making it an ideal option for a half-day trip. Additionally, we do offer a tour guide option for guests seeking a more in-depth experience. In your case, the guided tour was declined at the time of booking, so our driver drove you around Bratislava and showed you all the main highlights of the city and then you had your free time and driver back. We would all like to point out that you booked a group experience, but we gave you a private transfer even with a party of 2people.

A comfortable way to visit Bratislava. No local guide though.

Used this tour as a comfortable way to visit Bratislava at Xmas. Our driving Andrej was wonderful. We should have been met by a local guide but for some reason they were not available so he did his best. After visiting the castle we had 3 hours to ourselves which is more than enough as it is a small city.

It ended up as a private tour with a driver and local guide. Both of them were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had to pay for local guide but that was critical to our enjoyment of the experience. It is an expensive trip but for us it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Charming Bratislava

Bratislava is a charming city with medieval history. My daughter and I enjoyed the tour. We liked the Arts and Craft Market in Bratislava Castle and the stroll in the Old Town. Our guide Eva recommended a restaurant where we had a taste of the local cuisine. The sheep cheese pierogi and goat cheese were a delight! The driver Peter is also nice and made the one hour journey from Vienna to Bratislava smooth. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vienna.

Easy, enjoyable day trip

Peter picked us up at our Vienna hotel and took us to Bratislava. We were greeted by Susanna. She took us around the city and pointed out all the highlights. Then we had a few hours to eat & look around. We enjoyed the day and would recommend.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and was very friendly. Bratislava has a lovely old city center, very walkable. Fascinating history. The driver was on time and helpful. I will definitely book through Viator again.

Our tour guide, Janet, that we paid extra for, was excellent. We paid Viator a large amount of money to drive us to the city and I don't think that was worth it. Our driver was not easy to understand.

An OK option to see Bratislava

Not really a tour but actually a pick up/drop off service to Bratislava. If you want a guide you can pay extra 100€ or book a local guide in Bratislava. Transport was OK, car could be cleaner as it was infested with small flies.
