This was a great way to see 2 additional cities in different countries in a short period of time. It was very informative and I learned a lot. Our guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of these cities. He also took great care to ensure our comfort with personal breaks, free time to explore on our own, and recommendations for restaurants.

A fantastic tour! Our guide, Simeon, was friendly and took the time to provide us information on all the places we visited in addition to taking us to each place. A truly unique experience to visit three capitals in one day.

It was a wonderful wonderful day. Paul was great!! He asked what kind of things we wanted to know and gave us all his thoughtful perspectives of all that Budapest and Bratislava is. I would highly recommend this tour - it was a super way to see Hungary and Slovakia and not have to worry about a thing.

Absolutely brilliant! Although it was a long tour day, it was incredibly interesting and worthwhile. Simeon is a wonderful guide! He is articulate, passionate, and provided lots of information. The tour also provided enough free time for us to explore a bit on our own and try some of the food in each city. I’m so glad we booked this tour during our stay in Bienna and would highly recommend it!

We had an awesome time touring with Simeon in Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava. He really takes care of you and also educates you about each location and welcomes all questions. The smaller group experience really pays off, as it is personal and you become close with your fellow travelers.

From start to finish our tour through Budapest and Bratislava was exceptional, thanks to Simeon. He consistently went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, even stopping at rest areas before entering each city so we could relax and prepare for the day ahead. Once in each city, he shared fascinating information, rich history, and thoughtful insights that brought each place to life. His deep love for these countries was evident in every story. His passion made the experience, not only educational, but truly inspiring. We genuinely enjoyed listening to him, and his knowledge added so much depth to our trip. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a meaningful and memorable tour.

We really enjoyed this 3 Capitals day trip to Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava. It was a great way to experience multiple cities in a short amount of time, and we loved being able to add two new countries to our list.
The trip was interesting and engaging throughout. The ride was quick but felt safe and well-managed.
Our guide, Simeon, did a great job keeping everything organized and informative.
We would definitely recommend this tour.

Simeon called us in advance the night before our trip to give us a pick up time. He picked us up on time from outside the hotel.
The van was comfortable.
1 hour after leaving vienna we stopped for coffee and a restroom break.
We arrived in Budapest and Simeon took us round the major landmarks and gave us great information as we walked.
Lots of photo opportunities and time to ourself. Budapest is a beautiful city with lots to see.
Then onto Bratislava which was much smaller but still had some lovely buildings. We only spent an hour or so there which was about right.
From there it was only 45 mins back to Vienna.
It's a 12 hour trip with quite a bit of time in the van, but that's to be expected given the fact you're visiting 3 different capital cities in 1 day.
Thanks Simeon for a great day.

While it’s possible to travel independently by train to Budapest and Slovakia, this tour offered a more meaningful journey with clear historical and cultural context.
Our guide, Simeon, was excellent, whose strong knowledge of history and sociology made the tour engaging and insightful. He struck a great balance between informative guidance and time to explore independently.
Overall, this was a highly memorable day, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in these destinations.

Thanks Simeon for today's trip to Budapest and Bratislava. You conducted a marvelous workshop as you shared your perspective of history while showing different iconic buildings and memorials. Simeon has excellent knowledge of history and balances well with authenticity and touristy information. I will recommend Simeon anytime to tourists who are planning to visit Austria and nearby countries

It was an amazing trip. Simeon is the best! He is very knowledgeable and truly knows the history of every place he took us to. He is kind, attentive, and very caring, and he took the time to answer all of our questions without rushing.
I was actually very happy that the tour I had originally booked was canceled at the last minute, because it led me to this experience. I contacted Viator via WhatsApp, and they immediately took care of the situation. I told them I was already in Vienna and very disappointed that my trip had been canceled. They recommended this company, which still had one spot available, and the suggestion could not have been better.
I was incredibly lucky that Simeon accepted me just one hour before the tour started. He speaks excellent English, knows the history in great depth, and you can truly tell that he enjoys what he does. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day.

Lots of history behind Budapest and Bratislava. We walked around with our guide, Simeon, who told us the significance of the buildings and statues. Simeon gave us lots of rests and recommendations for when to eat or what to do during our free time as well. As we were unexpectedly a private tour, he was also flexible with our timings so it was a really nice pace.

We had a wonderful experience visiting Budapest and Bratislava and the trip exceeded our expectations. Both cities are absolutely beautiful, rich in history, culture, and stunning architecture. The itinerary was well planned, giving us enough time to explore the key attractions while also enjoying the local atmosphere.
A special mention goes to Simeon, our tour guide, who truly made the journey memorable. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. His explanations were clear and engaging, and he was always patient and supportive with the group. Simeon went the extra mile to ensure everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the tour, sharing interesting historical insights as well as practical tips along the way.
Overall, it was a fantastic trip, and I highly recommend this tour, especially with Simeon as the guide for anyone planning to visit Budapest and Bratislava.

Simeon was an excellent guide for Budapest and Bratislava. In fact, we liked him so much that we requested his availability for another day to tour Hallstatt and Salzburg, which he happily agreed to and was able to squeeze in impromptu during our last full day in Austria.
What makes Simeon so special as a tour guide is the passion he carries toward the subjects he discusses. Simeon was aware that the history behind architecture and the sights of the places we visited was quite complex. However, to navigate this, he made sure that his explanations were clear and easy to follow. He also made sure to distinguish certain cultural aspects between “authentic” and “touristy”, which we appreciated since authentic aspects often get lost beneath the aesthetics of commercial tourism.
Simeon always made sure we had more than enough time for pictures. He gave us designated time for us to explore the cities by ourselves to really take in the sights and eat proper meals. For this reason, we never felt rushed and always followed a reasonable schedule.
Simeon was always looking out for us. Before leaving us to explore by ourselves, he made sure to give us restaurant recommendations as well as specific directions to help us find our way around the city to get to the different sights.
Finally, Simeon was not afraid to be personable. He is curious about the different cultures and interests of the clients he tours and seeks to learn all he can about other parts of the world.
Would definitely try to book Simeon again the next time we’re in the area!!

We had an amazing experience on our Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava day tour, thanks to our guide, Simon. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made every stop meaningful with his insights and stories. The small-group setup made the tour feel personal, and the van was very clean and comfortable, which made the long drive so much easier. Highly recommend this tour.

Simeon of Birdie Tours is awesome. He tells you “this trip is your trip” and is very flexible. He’s is very kind and helpful as well. We listened to great music on the long ride and had some laughs too. Pricing is very reasonable by comparison to others.

So, where can I start?
This tour, run by Simeon and also his partner in crime for the day, Paul was insanely fun, relaxed, personalised, basically any synonym for a perfect day out that is suited to your needs.
From starting the day in your hotel in Vienna, driving off to Budapest and spending your lunch on the banks of the Danube, then setting off to the quiet city of Bratislava to catch the sunset and to experience the tranquility of the night sky at Bratislava Castle.
The driving genuinely might’ve been the safest I’ve ever had, with Simeon just making it seem leisurely, and the music was just good vibes.
I truly recommend this tour for its value for money and also in general if you are looking for a really good, and relaxed day out.
Cheers to Simeon and Paul for the day 🥂

The car is a new van, the trip is 2.5 hours to Budapest, then two hours to Batrislava, and then one hour to Vienna. He picked us up at our very punctual 7:20 am. We had several stops to use the restroom, and in both cities, we were given free time to buy souvenirs.
