A Must Do...!

Our private tour of Palatine Hill, the Roman Forum and the Colosseum with Valeria was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. From the moment we met her, she made us feel welcome and transformed what could have been a simple sightseeing experience into an unforgettable journey through the heart of ancient Rome. We began our tour at Palatine Hill, where Valeria immediately brought the history and legends of Rome to life. Her storytelling helped us understand the significance of this incredible site and its connection to the origins of the city, the emperors who called it home, and the events that shaped Roman civilization. From there, we continued into the Roman Forum and Valeria’s knowledge and passion truly stood out. She explained how this remarkable area served as the center of Roman public life, politics, religion and culture. Her ability to connect the ruins to the people and events of the past made the experience much more meaningful than simply viewing ancient stones and structures. We finished our tour at the Colosseum, where Valeria captivated us with stories of gladiators, emperors and the incredible engineering behind one of the world's most iconic landmarks. Her explanations helped us imagine what life was like nearly 2,000 years ago and gave us a much deeper appreciation for this extraordinary monument. Engaging and informative tour

Federico was our tour guide and he was passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging. I planned this tour last minute and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The tour takes you outside the city and away from the crowds. We learned quite a bit of history along the way and were able to imagine how Rome looked with his descriptions coupled with images he provided. We moved around in a bus with AC, so we were grateful for that. The catacombs were fascinating and a nice relief from the heat above. I reached out to the company with a question and they were prompt with their response. Totally worth it and highly recommend!

Fantastic Golf Cart Tour with Alex

We had a fantastic time on this golf cart tour with Wheel Tours. It was such a fun and relaxed way to explore Rome as a family, and we got to see so many of the city’s highlights, including St. Peter’s Square and the Colosseum. The stop for delicious gelato near the Pantheon was a great bonus. Our guide and driver, Alex, was absolutely brilliant. He was warm, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories and facts throughout the tour. He really made the experience what it was. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing!!! If you’re after an experience that is private and takes you to all the historic sights with a guide who knows the deep history of Rome, then this is your tour. Vincent was our guide and he was wonderful, born in Rome he knew the history of every monument and sight, and answered all of our curious questions. He took us to a local Bar for coffee and drinks for the kids and went above and beyond to make our tour memorable. He was even kind enough to recommend local restaurants, which we did end up eating at and they were a true Italian experience. Thank you Vincent for a memorable experience in Rome.

The driver was at the pick up point ahead of time but waited until we approached after our cuppa. He was a very safe driver and happy to mind my small carry bag whilst we went and took photos at our various stops. Plenty of time was allocated at each stop for us to enjoy the location and take photos. He made sure we didn’t miss the 12 o’clock gun, which was great to see. He also dropped us a little closer to our hotel as we’d been so punctual at every stop.

This tour provides an excellent introduction to the Colosseum and surrounding areas. There’s so much to see in both spots that you could spend a day or two exploring in more depth but this tour gives it to you in a really digestible way over 2.5 hours. Our guide Daniel was terrific. Knowledgeable with a lovely easy manner and a nice sense of humour which made the tour race along. We had about 16-18 in our group which was very manageable and we didn’t feel “lost” at any stage. It’s a definite strong recommendation as either the perfect introduction or (as with us) our only opportunity to experience this incredible area.

Don't miss this tour!

Take this tour!! My husband and I took this tour to get out of Rome for the day. Easy to navigate from the Termini Station to the tour pick up point. The vineyard was beautiful! Our guide was part of the family who owns it and gave us great information but not information that was boring or over people's head who just have a basic wine knowledge. We then had a great walk around Frascati and an aperitivo and then an AMAZING lunch where the wine was flowing. We had a great, eclectic group and the conversation was lively and we got to know so really amazing people. Highly recommend!

The only choice for a hot day!

It was 100 degrees on the day we took the golf cart tour and it was excellent. We saw all the most popular sites in 3 hours with a knowledgeable and courteous driver - Simon. He arrived on time, gave plenty of time at each stop and made good recommendations for how to spend the 10 minutes or so at each site and for other events and places to eat and shop in Rome. Highly recommend.

Profound and beautiful experience!

As a Catholic, this was a profound experience for me. I didn't realize when I booked it that we were going to witness the pope's final public audience of the Jubilee Year when the Holy Doors are open. Our guide was wonderful and obtained the very best seats possible for us to see Pope Leo up close. I could practically reach out and touch him when the "pope mobile" stopped right in front of our group. And I was able to get some incredible photos! There was a ceremony and a papal blessing that left me in tears. Everything about this tour was magical and I am so happy that I included it as part of my Christmas visit to Rome.
