Book this cruise!

Definitely book this catamaran trip, and don't book with anyone else. We watched as the other Funchal charter boats loaded clients on like cattle. Every boat had so many people on it, it looked like there was no place left to sit. Our experience with VIPDolphins, however, felt comfortable and classy. The boat is posh, and the staff is wonderful. But setting the maximum number of occupants at 17 is what makes this trip worth paying a little extra for. Unlike on the other boats, there is ample room for every guest to spread out, lie down, see wildlife, and move around. If you are looking for a snorkel, whale-watching, or sunset cruise, this is the company to choose in Funchal. Absolutely worth the little extra money.

Amazing day out

What a wonderful afternoon out, we saw a huge pod of dolphins which blew both mine and my sons mind, the tour guides were absolutely excellent and ended with a sighting of a bride whale, the trip was beyond our expectations and really appreciated how much thtiur guides cared for the environment!! Great morning activity - one of our highlights from our trip. We got to see loads of dolphins so close to the boat and a also a whale - a Bryde whale I believe. Nice views along the way and a refeshing swim in the sea. It was great to have the snack bar and toilets available.

If you only have time to do one tour I would recommend the east side of the island as the views from some of the stops are absolutely breathtaking but do both days if you can!

Really good experience !!

Really good experience!! The boat crew were punctual, friendly, knowledgable and safety concious. We saw lots of Atlantic dolphins and Pilot whales very close to the boat. Nice route along the coast on the return trip and really enjoyed the surprise at the end !! Great value for money and the speedboat was better than the catamarans.

Amazing experience! Paulo was great and catered the day to our needs. He was informative, fun and we had the best day! Sometimes tours can be long but this one flew by and we were sad when it was time to return to our hotel. Highly recommend this company because it's tailored to your own wishes vs one of the larger companies where you get shuffled around with a scheduled itinerary from place to place with little flexibility. A perfect day exploring Madeira with Miguel

We had an amazing day exploring the west of Madeira with Miguel! He was right on time, incredibly kind, funny, and an absolute gem. His knowledge of the island is truly impressive; he taught us so much about Madeira’s history, local traditions and beliefs, nature, and even how to tell the different types of eucalyptus apart! He took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure everyone was engaged. What we appreciated even more was that he slightly adapted the itinerary because we had already visited a couple of the planned stops. Instead of sticking rigidly to the schedule, he wanted to make sure we got the very best out of our day, which we really appreciated. Miguel made the whole experience fun, informative, and unforgettable. I 100% recommend this tour, and if I ever come back to Madeira, I will definitely book another day with him. Fab walking tour of Funchal

We did the walking tour half way through our trip and had a fabulous time. We stopped for traditional wine tasting, lunch as well as trying other culinary delights including pastel de natas and a chorizo bola - you are definitely well fed and watered so don't eat too much beforehand! The walking was easy for us able bodied members of the party, however, one of our party had difficulty due to the sloping nature of the area and cobbled streets so I would be aware of this when you book. He did not go ahead with the tour however the staff were extremely accommodating and very kindly issued a refund. Our tour guide was fabulous and whilst informative was also really fun, she made the trip. Many thanks we had a great time!

A amazing morning trip!

We had the most incredible trip with Luca & Manny onboard! Luca was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife of Madeira & Manny was a fantastic supporting host & camera man! We were lucky enough to follow a group of Fin Whales and we saw several blows. We also saw a dolphin, seal & jellyfish. We also stopped for a swim which was delightful. The boat was perfect for the small group of passengers and it was a very intimate trip. We thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend!! Thank you :)
