Very good introduction to Madeira culture and food. Don’t take any lunch before as you will be full after this tour. Tour guide was very friendly and gave us a lot information how to enjoy our vacation here

Interesting little explore around old town. ( not a heavy walking load though). Lots of sweet/bakery items to taste, I would have preferred more savoury but it was Madeira specialities. Our guide Leonora was charming, knew her stuff and had some amusing stories to share. Dinner at one of Julio pereiro restaurants was excellent. We had a group of 10, quite a social experience. We got lucky with our group!

Easy paced walk, we did wine tasting before food so we were a good hour into tour before eating. This was fine but other reviews suggested you eat first.

Really lovely food tour for the first day you get to Funchal. Leonora took us to some great local places and to try the most famous madeiran foods, as well as made recommendations for other places we can try. Her recommendations were spot on.

A great guide, good food and drinks. Not too much walking but lots of stops and various foods. Not all stops are sitting down as establishments are small. Small group, friendly and not rushed.

Be sure not to eat before this tour! Our first stop felt like a full lunch and it was delicious. From there, the portions were smaller, but the flavors all had a big impact. It was a nice variety of foods and beverages. Jacqueline made it even better with her knowledge, stories and insider tips. Definitely worth your time!

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was a local who told us some very interesting facts about the island, it's culture and of course food. We ate a lovely variety of things that were in the guidebooks as 'must try' and felt like we were getting them in proper local places and not just tourist traps. Would highly recommend!

Our tour guide was local so it was a great opportunity to make the most of my short stay. Not only did I get to try amazing local food and drink but i was able to ask about other things close by that have helped me maximise the short time I have here....FYI 3 days in maderia isnt enough..thank you so much Anna xx

This was an excellent tour! There was plenty of food, wine, and cultural information, just as promised. Everything was delicious and our guide was very well informed and answered all our extra questions. Just don't make the mistake we did and eat light all day expecting to eat often and a lot based on food tours we have done in other locations. The 4pm tour starts with drinking and doesn't get to dinner until much later. There was plenty of food, but we had too much to drink first on our empty stomachs. We would have planned better if we had known that ahead of time.

A fantastic way to sample the delights of Madeira’s food and drink. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and we visited numerous restaurants, bars and snack shops on the tour. The food included local delicacies and we also got to taste the local poncha and Madeira wine. A great experience - thanks for a fabulous afternoon.
