We had an amazing time with our guide Miguel. He was very knowledgeable and a great driver. The sites around Madeira were beautiful! Particularly in Ponta do Sol. The off road part was also amazing fun! We would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Madeira. Great value for money and great fun!

We had such a fun day with Robert! He was very enthusiastic and had lots of interesting facts about Madeira, particularly the plant life. We enjoyed all the stops and the restaurant for lunch was fun and a good meal. We would have loved a little extra time at some of the stops, particularly Sexial and Fanal Forest as most of the stops are only about 20 minutes and Fanal Forest is quite large and there seemed a lot to explore but we simply did not have time. Overall a good way to see a lot of places in the span of a day and really fun to ride in the jeep.

What an amazing day from start to finish! This tour is such a great way to see so many of Madeira’s most beautiful places in one day. Every stop was unique, from the stunning natural pools at Porto Moniz to the breathtaking views at Seixal, the magical Fanal Forest, and the incredible Skywalk.
Our tour guide, Michael, was fantastic. He was really funny, friendly, and made sure we got the most out of the whole experience. He shared lots of interesting information and made the day enjoyable from beginning to end.
You get to see so much, and it’s definitely worth the money. I’d also recommend taking your swimwear so you can enjoy the natural pools. You can safely leave your belongings in the tour vehicle while you swim, and there are facilities to get changed at the stops.
This was one of the highlights of our holiday, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madeira!

Do not book with True spirit. The lunch is horrible and a tourist trap. Every company stops at the same sites. Pick one that brings you to a decent lunch.

Friendly informative and fun. Our tour guide was very nice and a great driver. The views were incredible and it was a very fun ride. I would highly recommend this company and ask for Luis he is amazing driver with a great personality.

What a brilliant 4x4 tour! Pedro brought fantastic energy, passion and knowledge throughout the day, making the experience both informative and great fun. Manu the Land Rover ran smoothly and confidently, giving us a comfortable ride while showing us some amazing sights. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommended! Fanal Forest 🌳 at 1600 metres and lunch stop at Seixal was perfect.

We had a great experience on our Madeira 4x4 tour with Luigi. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and worked hard to make sure we saw all of the major highlights included on the itinerary. Even when the weather didn’t fully cooperate, Luigi went out of his way to adjust the day and return to certain locations he felt were important for us to experience during our visit to the island.
His knowledge of Madeira’s history and culture added a lot of value to the tour, and we appreciated the stories and insights he shared throughout the day. It was clear that he genuinely cared about providing a memorable experience for his guests.
Overall, I would recommend both Luigi and this 4x4 tour company to anyone looking to explore Madeira’s beautiful landscapes and learn more about the island. Thank you for a wonderful day!

Couldn’t hear our guide while in the back of the jeep. The guide didn’t have access to a microphone and there were no speakers or headphones available. There was too much road noise due to the cobble streets, other cars and motorcycles. Missed a lot of information and island history because we couldn’t hear our driver.

If you book this tour with this company, you are guaranteed the best experience when your driver introduces himself as Miguel. Miguel is the best driver, great personality and so much fun. He knows the best off road tracks and well...what can I say. He is just very easy going, crazy driving but we felt safe with him all through the tour. He clearly knows his car and the roads very well. Seeing other jeeps driving boring speed and roads, we felt so lucky to be in Miguel's jeep! Thanks for making this day the best of the best.
One remark: we would have loved to have more time on Fanal forest. It's a magical place. Would have preferred to bring a packed lunch and enjoy it there rahter then having the longer lunch stop in Porto Moniz

The biodiversity on this island is phenomenal! Joseph was outstanding. It was so cool riding around with the top pulled back standing up through the roof. It also was a phenomenal value $82 a person for the entire day. Highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide and driver, Graham, was fabulous. He made the trip near perfect. In balance, the Land Rovers are rust buckets but drivable. So much better than going it alone. You see and things that extraordinary.

Omg LOVED this trip! Our guide, Graham, is the best! He is superior with his driving skills and we went on some amazing roads that definitely required top notch talent! Brilliant tour around the West side of Madeira. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and answered our many questions fully.
He went out of his way to ensure that we and our lovely fellow travellers had a brilliant time. He made the day fun and gave us plenty of time to enjoy each of the stops.
The lunch that he recommended was delicious and plenty.

Porto Moniz, Seixal, Fanal Forest tour was absolutely unacceptable. Our guide Mateus refused to stop in any places that our whole group of 8 were interested in. It wasn’t really a tour, the guide never really explained anything or gave us any significant information. He was just driving us from spot to spot, dropping us at the location and letting us wonder on our own. The tour wasn’t 8 or 9 hours as advertised on Viator, in total it was 6 hours, that included 1 hour stop for lunch. No one in our group was interested in lunch, but the guide forced us to waste 1 hour of our time in a total tourist trap of a restaurant. Waste of time and money! Don’t book with True Spirit Tours!

On a shared tour, the guide must strictly respect and follow the established itinerary and schedule for the benefit of all participants.
Our 7.5 hours shared tour, not 9 hours, operate with structured schedule to ensure all guests enjoy the planned sights and standard breaks, including the lunch stop. Because of this, we cannot customize the route or make unscheduled stops. Besides, stopping on the highway, as you requested, to take photos is not permitted. We regret that you were not satisfied with our commitment to the safety of all participants.
For a fully tailored experience where you can customize the stops and schedule according to your own preferences, we highly recommend booking a private tour next time.

Great day out , victor was great fun and we saw so much throughout the day . Being a small group made the day even more enjoyable and the jeep through the eucalyptus forest was so much fun . My only criticism would have been to have stopped for lunch at a traditional madeiran restaurant but otherwise it was a wonderful day out and would definitely recommend. Thank you
