Excellent. Our guide Lilou was fantastic, she gave us a lot of knowledge about the city and great recommendations to make the rest of our stay even better. There were only 4 of us on the tour which made it more personal and meant we could chat with Lilou as she guided us around Funchal. Some beautiful sights and great knowledge about what we were seeing. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely friendly guide Anna who was very knowledgeable and informative. A good way to learn about Funchal at an easy pace. The cathedral abd church were stunning and a lovely touch was the wine tasting at the end.

V small group which made it a very relaxed and informal tour. Good range of information. Great tour guide; new for the season but very eager to offer interesting facts about Funchal. Madeira wine tasting at the end was a surprise bonus.

A very nice guide, who had a lot of knowledge about the sights in the old town of Funchal. However, he had limited information beyond the details about the specific places we stopped at, and he also did not provide any information between the stops. We assume this is because he had limited experience as a guide in Funchal, as he was 20 years old and came from the Netherlands. But we expect that once he has conducted quite a few more guided tours, he will both be more relaxed in his presentation and have more general information on his tours.

A good way to get familiar with old Funchal and also learn some history. Tomas was a knowledgeable guide. Due to traffic noise it was sometimes hard to hear him but he tried his best.

I highly recommend doing a walking tour when you visit a new city to really get a feel for the history and learn the little secrets that as a tourist you would be unaware of. Great to know this is offered by the students union with monies from the tours going to them. Guide could have been a bit more knowledgable but for a volunteer not bad. Could have covered more of the modern history of Funchal than it did.

A good tour to start the holiday ! We were in a group of just 4 people, our guide was a young french student who spoke very good English. She was very knowledgeable and showed us many interesting details which we would otherwise not have noticed.

Money from these walks goes to a good cause, it supports students at the University. Our tour guide was not a student, but a volunteer. He was from the Netherlands. I think it would have been more lively if the tour had been from a local.

Great tour takes 2 hours Funchal is hilly so make sure you have good walking shoes on. Guide was very informative and the tour helped us get our bearings
