A “must-do” experience to see Madiera! Mauricio is an amazing guide! So fun to see the highlights with someone who truly loves the island’s beauty and its culture. Plus some great local secret gems and recommendations for the rest of our stay. Our family of six can’t recommend this tour strong enough!

Wow! What a stunning island. The ups and downs were, shall we say, exhilarating, the shout of '3,2,1 short cut' had us gripping our seats but we absolutely loved it. We never spent too much time in the Landrover and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a strong constitution this is the tour for you.

Fun way to explore West Maderia if you are not prone to car sickness 😀. Not for the faint hearted. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time. Plenty of time at each stop

An incredible day, Maurizio was a great guide. Taking us to all the best spots around the island. The natural pools at Porto Moniz were incredible and well worth it. Perfect amount of time spent at each spot. Would recommend to all…. His driving was excellent on the steep old roads

Nice day out but were expecting a jeep as in most photos and to go off road didn't have either. Not a jeep safari just a road trip.

Really good day out and Tiago was an excellent tour guide. The trip is well worth it, some of the views were not able to be seen because of low cloud cover ... but you cannot control the weather. We also went into the volcanic pools ... it was raining but warm so we went in anyway. (you are already wet anyway!!!)
Would recomend and no issues with the experience delivered.

Very good experience , is definitely worth it!. Mauricio is a fantastic tour guide and his driving skills are 10/10 literally felt like a little rollercoaster at times due to the curvy roads in Madeira. You get to see all the island with some amazing sights, Mauricio was very informative throughout the tour and drove us to multiple free locations where theres no charge and still had the same views ! Personally I loved this ! We did make a quick stop towards the end of the tour for some Poncha 😅 which was a great end to the tour . I would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing trip in Madeira and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. Our tour guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable and full of interesting information about Madeira's history, culture, and nature.
The ride itself was exciting, taking us through local streets, beautiful natural landscapes, and some incredibly steep roads that were both thrilling and unforgettable. The views along the way were absolutely breathtaking.
This tour covers many of Madeira's most beautiful spots and is definitely worth it for anyone who wants to truly discover and experience the island. A great adventure from start to finish!

Our ticket pick up from viator said 8.08. We were finally picked up at 9 40. We did not do the skywalk or Maderia wine tasting as advertised. .The off the road part was great fun.

I'm sorry about the misunderstanding. But if you have a look on Viator or TripAdvisor, you will see that the pickups start at 9:00 a.m to 9:20am sometimes we have a traffic jam but was not the case. I don't know why the tickets from Viator was at 8:00 a.m. Maybe you can get in touch with customer care on Viator.

Our tour was absolutely incredible and a truly unique experience! We got to see hidden gems and places most tourists never see, which was amazing for avoiding all the crowds. Our guide took us to locations like no other, giving us a real sense of adventure away from the typical tourist traps. If you want to get off the beaten path and see the real beauty of the area, I highly recommend this tour.

Do Not Book! No communication from the driver leading up to pick up even though I messaged three times. The itinerary was not accurate. Our driver skipped stops, tried to skip other stops. We were miserably uncomfortable in the back and squished ALL DAY. We thought the vehicle he picked us up in was going to take us to the real vehicle. But no… we were squished in a small space in the back all day. Could not see anything he pointed out because our view was obstructed. Absolutely miserable. Do Not Book. The only enjoyable part was Porto Moniz. I recommend driving yourself or figure out a way you can spend a little more than two hours there.

This was an excellent one day tour of the west of Madeira island. Our guide Justinho was amazing! A true gentleman. Spoke perfect English and was overall a great guide and driver. Extremely knowledgeable and conversational. My kids especially loved his shortcuts (wow does he know his car!).
The vehicle looked well maintained and the tour itinerary was great if you have limited time and want to see some of the main highlights of Madeira like Porto Moniz, Fanal Forest and some iconic coastal towns.
I would highly recommend this tour company and Justinho in particular.

This is a fun way to get around the island, learn some history, and see different places if you don’t have a car. We had a good time with the people we were with. Unfortunately, if you’re looking to book this to go to all the places on the itinerary then I would find something different. We went to the places our tour guide wanted to take us because it was less busy. We weren’t able to go to at least four of the places on the list, which were the places we wanted to go to the most. At one point, we drove right past seixal beach and one of the ladies had to ask the divide where we were going to next. To his response was, “I’m trying to figure out where I want to take you.” I’d say the worst stop was when we were supposed to go to fanal Forrest and he brought us to some camping site where we didn’t even see the forrest. Forget about trying to get a refund because the operator told us we should be grateful for the places he brought us to.

Full refund!!! Sorry no,, you did the Jeep Tour and the guide took you to more places and more even more far away. Like we did explain some places are closed because of rock slides. We can't go. We did stop on Fanal Forest on a good spot, So the guide made everything that was possible so you could enjoy the day and you did enjoy the day... but in the end you did want to have the full refund.

Best experience by far! Fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We covered a lot of ground but was great because he knew the spots that weren’t as crowded to get great pictures. Don’t miss out on this tour!

We saw some amazing sites on this tour. Justino picked us up at our hotel at 9 am. 8 travelers in total. We started at Camara de Lobos, a small fishing town which is really lovely. Then we went to Ponta do Sol and walked around for a bit and took pictures. We stopped at Faja do Rancho which has amazing views from high up. Cascata dos Anjos has been closed to tourists because of landslides so we skipped this stop. We stopped at Ribeira da Janela and had time to build little rock stacks and take pictures, the rock formations are truly stunning. We went to the Fanal Forest and it wasn't misty but it was still very beautiful. There were cows that roam freely. We stopped for about an hour and a half in Porto Moniz. We ate a delicious lunch at a place Justino recommended and then walked to the free natural pools. The water was way too cold for us to get in but plenty of others were enjoying the water. We next went to Seixal to see the black sand beach. There was a small waterfall that was quite lovely. We ended the tour at Cabo Girao glass platform. This was 5 euro per person to get to the platform. We were back at our hotel by 6 pm.
Note:
-The 4 seats in the back of the jeep face the center of the jeep, so we had some trouble with car sickness sitting in the back and the ride is VERY bumpy.
-According to the itinerary we skipped: Pico Ruivo do Paul da Serra and the Sao Vicente Madeira wine tasting.
-This is a semi-guided tour, while we were at each of the stops, we were alone. Justino told us where to go but he didn't come with us.

Great views of the western and north of the island. The guide Mauricio took us to areas less crowded and showed us must see spots.
One improvement is for the ability for those sitting behind the guide/driver to hear what he is saying with the windows open but they were needed to get fresh air. It was tight with 4 couples especially those in the way back.

Our driver Justino was terrific. From seeing the fisherman's villages to going into the mountains to seeing the waterfalls and swimming in the natural swimming pool the trip was fantastic. His driving skills are unbelievable. We would highly recommend this trip.

Really enjoyed exploring the island as we got to see some amazing places, view points and waterfalls in one day. Going via jeep meant we got to drive up and down steep back streets you otherwise wouldn’t know were there, nor would you want to risk in a hire car! Mauricio was a passionate and informative guide, as well as an excellent driver.
