This was a highlight of our almost month long journey in Portugal. The off road ride was exhilarating and the stops provided beautiful views. We had so much fun and learned a lot along the way. To reach the top of the mountain joining hands with the clouds was breathtaking. Justino our guide was truly fabulous!

Fabulous day out, Ronaldo made the day fun, he was very informative about the island our own young Madeiran David Bellamy🙂
Lots of funny roads were driven on and we felt safe and well looked after all day.
Porto Moniz was the highlight,
Then the day ended with a tipple of the local Fisherman's Poncha before being dropped off at our hotel

The driver was very informative about it location and it was great fun doing the short cuts.

Ronaldo our driver and guide was equal parts charming, funny, knowledgeable and passionate.
He clearly loves what he does and that shows in how he talks about the history of the island.
I loved how he gently quizzed us on what he had told you already and involved everyone in the jeep.
Things to remember, Embrace and Enjoy; be part of the tour. Take some cash with you as the first stop is cash only. Be prepared to take a load of pictures. And finaly if he asks you funny roads or normal the answer is always funny
Great way to see the island. Plenty of time given in each place to get a walk around have a coffee, a swim etc.

I booked this months in advance and the night before the scheduled tour, the tour operator asked if I could go on another date I could not, my trip was planned ahead of time. He then cancelled the tour because he said he’d overbooked and no one would change their date. He did this the night before the event.. He made this seem as if it was my fault because I was the one being inflexible. I

Great introduction to the island with a few narrow 'short cuts' for fun. A full day experience, good value
Not much of a tour guide the driver drives you & then you are on your own. I was hoping to have the guide tell us more info on spots we were visiting.
It's great, but not for the faint-hearted. Some of the roads are scary, but the driver knew them really well and I always felt safe. The north west is so different from Funchal and very beautiful. It's a great way to see more.
A fantastic day with picturesque stops and viewpoints with time to walk around and get a feel for the place. There was plenty of time at Porto Moniz for lunch and a swim. Our guide ?Justino? had the right combination of humour, information adventure (emotion) and spontaneity. Unfortunately we couldnt visit Seixal beach due to a sudden rockfall and so he quickly changed our route and activities. Lots of thrilliing off road rides . I would certainly recommend this smaller group trip with a jeep to get off the beaten track and travel on routes you probably wouldnt venture along in a hire car. Unfortunately I had a personal problem on the morning of the trip but everyone on the team was very helpful and even checked in with me in the evening to see if everything had worked out.
I would 100% recommend this tour and company. Unfortunately I cant add any photos as I forgot my phone!
Phenomenal day! Ronaldo was so knowledgeable and his driving was impeccable!! An absolute fabulous day, would 100% recommend doing this if you don’t have your own car to check out these spots on the island!

This is one of the highlights from our trip. Mauricio picked us up on time and took us with fellow travelers to a beautiful part of Madeira. Thrilling, swimming, small hike in Fanal Forest, always with a smile, fun, telling us fun facts about the island. Merci Mauricio!
This was such a fun, informative, and beautiful adventure! Our driver (I WISH I could give him a shout out but I can' remember his name!) was great. We laughed, we took "short cuts", we had fun, saw some amazing scenery and overall had the best day with great people.
Wow! What a stunning island. The ups and downs were, shall we say, exhilarating, the shout of '3,2,1 short cut' had us gripping our seats but we absolutely loved it. We never spent too much time in the Landrover and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a strong constitution this is the tour for you.

Nice day out but were expecting a jeep as in most photos and to go off road didn't have either. Not a jeep safari just a road trip.
Really good day out and Tiago was an excellent tour guide. The trip is well worth it, some of the views were not able to be seen because of low cloud cover ... but you cannot control the weather. We also went into the volcanic pools ... it was raining but warm so we went in anyway. (you are already wet anyway!!!)
Would recomend and no issues with the experience delivered.

Very good experience , is definitely worth it!. Mauricio is a fantastic tour guide and his driving skills are 10/10 literally felt like a little rollercoaster at times due to the curvy roads in Madeira. You get to see all the island with some amazing sights, Mauricio was very informative throughout the tour and drove us to multiple free locations where theres no charge and still had the same views ! Personally I loved this ! We did make a quick stop towards the end of the tour for some Poncha 😅 which was a great end to the tour . I would definitely recommend!
We had an amazing trip in Madeira and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. Our tour guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable and full of interesting information about Madeira's history, culture, and nature.
The ride itself was exciting, taking us through local streets, beautiful natural landscapes, and some incredibly steep roads that were both thrilling and unforgettable. The views along the way were absolutely breathtaking.
