Here is your opportunity to discover the best of Madeira. We start our tour by visiting Pico do Areeiro, one of the highest peaks in Madeira. We continue our journey along the rural paths of Ribeiro Frio, making a brief stop at a local bar where we show off our traditional Poncha (optional). We continue the tour along the agricultural roads that take us off-road through the Laurissilva forest to Santana, where we take a break to try the local cuisine (lunch) and get to know its culture, such as the Santana houses. We resumed our walk, along the old roads to Miradouro do Guindaste. We continue to the easternmost point of the island, Ponta de São Lourenço, ending our trip back to Funchal.

This experience includes two slots, although its recommended to do the sunrise slot (06.15am) to be able to witness an incredible experience. Guests will hike at their own pace, along the Atlantic Ocean, on a UNESCO Partial Reserve Hike. Its likely to encounter native terrain and sea species if weather allows. With pick up and drop of at accommodation (Funchal, Caniço, Santa Cruz and Machico, you will not have to worry about logistics, we will take care of everything for you. This experience can be enjoyed by families, friends, the younger or the the seniores, allowing guests to take in the nature, the norther views, the sea breeze and landscapes of a very different area of the Madeira Island. Not only you are able to enjoy a hike, you are also able to do water activities at the end of the 1st part of the hike - Cais do Sardinha area.

We call it the Typical Tour trought the East side of the Island. You will stop at the following locations (in order): Camacha, Pico Arieiro, Ribeiro Frio, Faial, Santana, Portela, Ponta de Sao Lourenco, Machico

In Ribeiro Frio you can go to the Aquícola station and/or enjoy the pedestrian route on the Balcões trail (PR11). Then it goes to Santana where a valuable natural, but also cultural heritage is preserved with its typical colmo houses. Lunch will take place in Santana. Continue the tour to Porto da Cruz where you can enjoy a second pedestrian route and also visit the old sugarcane factory. Finally, it goes to Ponta de São Lourenço, a peninsula that offers a unique and imposing landscape, with panoramic views over the North and South sides of the island. You end up returning to Funchal.
