Nice pit stop tour of the West
We were picked up on time, Dino made sure we were comfortable and prepared for the trip as the climate is different at Fanal Forest this time of the year, gets really cold. Dino was happy to tell us about his island, he was full of interesting information and advice. We've seen and stopped at several places, all different but equally charming. I must say I was quite taken aback by Ribeira da Janela rocks as, having seen it on the web, I thought it was not that special but seeing it in person I realised it's a gorgeous site.. especially as we had a rainbow following us towards end of the trip and it looked spectacular by the rocks.

This tour exceeded our...
This tour exceeded our expectations and well worth the money. Our guide Joanna was very knowledgeable and her driving very skilled especially along the narrow mountain roads. The scenery at the Pico do Arieiro is breathtaking, we were very lucky with the weather considering it was mid January. The PR11 walk along the levadas was easy although a little muddy and we stopped at the best restaurant in Ribeiro Frio for lunch afterwards.

Beautiful hike through nature
This December my wife and I traveled to Madeira for our honeymoon. We knew that we wanted to get out in nature, but weren’t sure what hike to start with. We had a pretty basic checklist. It had to include waterfalls, beautiful views, and be a distance that wouldn’t leave us sore for the rest of our trip. This hike checked all of those boxes and more. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting history about the levadas throughout the hike. It was immediately obvious how much he cared about land and wildlife conservation. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hike to anyone who asks.

Town tour
Margarida, our driver was EXCELLENT. She gave us wonderful understanding of the Island's history, economics, culture, and dynamics. As a local, she was able to answer all our questions with much insight. The tour hit as many top sites as was possible in a 90 minute tour.

A Great Personalized Tour
We really enjoyed our tour of Madeira, and our guide Sergio was extremely knowledgeable and fun. He knew when the big tour buses were going to go to the spots we were also going to, and timed it so we'd miss most of the big crowds. His van was very clean and well maintained, and with all the steep hills and windy roads, we were happy the brakes worked well! Sergio was happy to answer all our questions, and we learned not only about where we toured, but about how the people lived and worked in Madeira. We were lucky with the weather, which was a nice bonus for our day.

Good guide and nice tour of the old city.
Good experience with a very knowledgeable guide. However the point of meeting although known locally as the Jesuits College, is actually the University of the Jesuits on the side entrance and this should be made clear on the instructions of where to meet.

Madeira Pico do Arieiro Tour
A fantastic way to see the sunrise and be able to get right to the top without worrying about parking (tours and taxis are able to access a higher spot than the other cars!). A 5 minute walk and we were at a perfect spot with the added extra of very welcomed blankets.
After the tour we had a very basic style breakfast (cheese/ham toasties, cake and coffee). They did cater for my vegan diet with a vegan cheese toastie, small breakfast cereal bar, and soya milk.
The Levada walk stop off at the end was a nice edition, very flat and gentle.

Challenging but amazing
Professional service from pick up to drop off. Our guide was excellent. The route was challenging, but we had plenty of stops to rest and refuel. The final stairway to heaven was amazing and our guide helped to make sure everyone made it safely out to the view points and back again. Brilliant day out.

Fantastic trip. Would recommend to a friend!
It was great. We didn’t see any dolphins/whales though, but honestly it didn’t matter. The crew were both lovely, attentive etc, and was very comfortable. Very relaxing too, drove around for 2.5 hours, had a couple of drinks, saw Madeira from a different perspective and got to swim —Surprisingly warm!! Would definitely book again, thank you so much!!

We had good weather on our trip which made a huge difference. We saw a shark, bottlenose dolphins, pilot whales, and risso’s dolphins. The guide was knowledgeable and the driver was great. I especially liked how the guides respected the dolphins and didn’t spend too long with a pod. I also appreciated that they collected random plastic when it came up in the ocean on our trip.

Great service
From start to finish Luis made everything easy. He made sure we knew where to go and where he'd pick us up after each visit. We we're never rushed and nothing was too much trouble for Luis. Yes you can do the tour cheaper but going with a guide/driver like Luis made the whole experience so much better.

Great afternoon out
Susannah picked us up at our hotel on time and we drove straight out to the winery. The route was a little windy and the last bit was very bumpy but Susannah coped with all the conditions very well. She was very informative and we learned a lot about the island as she drove. The winery itself was in beautiful countryside. The tour was very well organised. We tried six wines (very little food provided with which to try it and the actual tasting was a little rushed as there was a big party coming in after us). We we’re offered another full glass of any of the 6 wines after, too. After this we went onto the glass bridge and then onto a little fishing village where Churchill apparently painted. The stops here were very brief which suited us. We were home by 6:20 pm after starting out at 2.pm. Good value, interesting tour.
