Even though we had some rain whilst walking, it didn’t stop us enjoying the activity. Easy to follow route and there really is no need to have a guided tour. It was nice to be able to walk at our own pace. There are a lot of steps, which can be abit slippery when wet, so sturdy, waterproof footwear is essential. A bonus of seeing the waterfalls when it has rained, is that they are more spectacular and the levadas were full too.

Nice and straight forward self guided tour. We were picked up spot on time, Diogo was a good driver and answered our questions patiently. He took us to the starting point at the parking lot and explained the trail. Though the weather wasn't ideal, the trail itself was very beautiful and worth it even in the rain. We didn't go at 6 am even though most of reviews here recommend it, but it wasn't very crowded (I guess partially due to weather and time of year) Overall, a lovely experience which we will recommend to others.

Very friendly driver who gave us good tips for the hike. He was right on time. The hike itself was very beautiful. I choosed the early departure and was very happy with my choice. We were the only persons starting the hike that early, while coming back we noticed the parking place was so crowded. One thing I didnt like. After I made the booking the company confirmed and told me the details of the trip would be send to me the day before the hike, maximum 6 pm. However the details were send to me at 10 pm instead. By that time I was already asleep, because the hike started at 6 am in the morning. I went to sleep pretty nervous, because of not getting any reaction from the company.

Adrianna gave us a good briefing for our hike. She was really friendly and gave us lots of information about life in Madeira, lots of local info, I learned a lot as well as had a good hike. The 6am start is worth it even just to avoid the crowds and the heat. Flashlight is needed if starting at 6am other than that, it's an easy enough hike, lots of steps. There's a lovely cafe at the end with delicious cakes and Adrianna was not late picking us up.

Fantastic driver who shared a lot of info about the island during the transfers. Communication was crystal clear regarding the trails and drop off/pick up. This was so much less stressful than driving and trying to get parking. Highly recommend for such a popular destination.

I chose to be picked-up at 6 A.M. and this is worth strong recommendation. Our driver, Pedro was very helpful. Instructed whole group about the hike. Starting as early is an absolute banger. You start when it is still dark, there are no people beside your small group, and while the sun is coming up, you follow this beautiful trail reaching the final point as the first ones during the day. You can go to two other PRs, what makes the tour even better. I highly recommend the tour, unbelivable experience.

Great trail. Definitely is good to go early and have it mainly all to yourself. Any later and the place starts to get packed. Be prepared for the weather. Raincoat and good walking shows with grips. Plenty of time to see everything. A lot of steps and down hill and then uphill. Adriana was excellent. She gave us loads of information and showed us extra beautiful areas on the drive back. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely day! The weather was absolutely perfect, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The 25 Fontes and Risco hike is a nice, easy trail that offers incredible views along the way. The waterfalls are beautiful and definitely worth the walk. I highly recommend coming early to beat the rush, as it can get quite busy later in the day. If you have spare time (and energy!), you can easily add another hike. Overall, a peaceful and scenic adventure!

Pedro picked us up on time to take us to the entrance of the lavada walk. We received all information and map instructions and set off. It's a really busy path but very pretty. We did PR6 first and had time to do PR3 before doing the PR 6.1 The latter was the easiest, the former the hardest. Definitely wear good shoes as it can get steep and slippery. Also bring enough food/drink as there is no opportunity to buy anything. It's mostly under trees so not too much sunshine.

Not everyone likes to hike with a group. So, normally - if you don’t have a rental car, you’re kinda lost. Thanks for this transfer which was enriched with good vibes and a lot of information. The wheather wasn’t that nice, but I enjoyed this beautiful hike anyway. You walk mostly under the trees. If you wear your rain jacket everything’s fine.

The hike is gorgeous and is very easy to follow, so doing the self guided tour was the best option! Filipe provided us all the information we needed ahead of the tour and we could then walk at our own pace and had plenty of time to stop, take photos and eat something. We started earlier than other groups which made a huge difference as there are some parts where the path is very narrow and it made the walk much more relaxed as it's a very popular trail. There are no restaurants or toilets apart from Casa Rabacal close to the start. Filipe also gave us a lot of information about all sorts of things on the way there and back and Logan sent us some good suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We had a different hotel on the way back, which he accommodated with no problem. Communication was great all the way through. Thanks for a great experience Filipe and Logan!
