What are people saying about Charleston

Great value Great tour!
The booking process was simple, there was good communication for receiving your tickets via email and app.
The ferry ride was exceptional with great information about Ft Sumter being provided by the man on the ferry. The tour length was perfect. We had plenty of time to look around before needing to get back on the ferry.
They are very prompt so when they say they are leaving, they are. So don’t be late.

A Perfect Blend of History and Hauntings
Our guide was Darrien and she was great. We had a small group so it was nice to have personal attention. She gave us choices on the type of tour we wanted and she took it from there. She’s a great storyteller with her details, voice and actions. I’d recommend this tour as it was fun and at a good pace. Thank you!

Very friendly atmosphere...
Very friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in the stable. Our tour guide, Shay was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. I thought this was very impressive since she is from Texas!! The twin horses, BooBoo and Yogi made carriage ride smooth. I will definitely recommend this tour.

Charleston Walking Tour
I was lucky to have Brian Simms as my guide on a solo tour. Brian is extremely knowledgeable and lively, and being a history buff, he always was ready to answer my numerous questions. One of my most memorable tours for the deep dive into Charleston with a highly skilled guide.

I enjoyed this tour so...
I enjoyed this tour so much! Evans, a Charleston native, was a fantastic tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about Charleston history, architecture, people, and plants. This was my favorite thing that we did in Charleston. I highly recommend this tour!

The best part was the...
The best part was the Gullah cultural experience. The story teller was outstanding, and held the attention of the entire assembled audience including a large tour group of middle school kids. The Avenue of Oaks is amazing. The other presentations were very informative. The main house is a nice tour, though I would have liked to see more of it. The wagon ride tour was a refreshing break from the heat. The stable tour seemed presented in a rather hurried manner powering through the script without any real care or interaction.

Quick, thorough and excellent tour
We were very short on time so decided to take an air conditioned tour of the highlights of Charleston. We had a car but wanted the information and Andrew, our guide, was so knowledgeable. He’s a history major working on his masters and filled the entire tour with interesting facts and stories about each landmark. The paid parking at the Visitor Center where the tour departs and ends was reasonable and easy to do. You get out for short stops to stretch your legs a couple of times - perfect for our limited time.

We enjoyed our city tour...
We enjoyed our city tour and our guide was very knowledgeable. He really covered a lot about the area in the 90 minute tour. Don't remember his first name but we were on the 10am tour. Charleston is a beautiful city and it even more beautiful from air conditioned van. (Hot day)

The harbor cruise was...
The harbor cruise was really great! The ride was very smooth, and the captain's narration throughout the trip was extremely enlightening. We learned so much about Charleston's history. The crew was very accommodating, with beverages and lunch available for purchase (in advance). I would highly recommend this harbor tour!

A very "Pleasing" Experience
Mike was an awesome tour guide. His knowledge of the stories based on his own research and experience over 30 years along with his story-telling abilities made this a very "pleasing" experience. We are from Chicago and Mike even threw in a quick story about two dangerous lions that the movie "The Ghost and the Darkness" was based on, snd that their reconstructed bodies were on display at the Chicago Field Museum. Highly recommend this tour!

Don’t schedule dinner afterwards!
Excellent exposure to different styles of local food. Guide was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Do note that adult beverages are extra, as are any food items you might want to order in addition to those included (like oysters!).
Easy to walk, and the tour explored more of the local history and culture than just food.

Great Tour. Just Right Amount of Time and Detail
Amazing and detailed tour! Our guide Allen, although not native to SC, surely did his research and shared our American history in an accurate and compassionate way. Relevant and appropriate for family members of all ages. This is the tour to take! About 90 minutes, comfortable ride, not crowded, just all around GREAT!
