A good orientation to Austin, including some history and culture. At times it seemed to promote certain businesses “so when you’re out tonight…”. A little heavy on the foodie scene. William did a great job on directing our small group , timing the lights. At the statue of woman and cannon, a family w a big stroller blocked the view. I wish he had asked the family to shift . He was spontaneous when policemen on horse was nearby. He took us over to the horses so people could pat them.. William is pleasant, Could talk a little less about himself. But he is a natural at tour guiding .

My husband and I ended up being the only 2 people on the tour, which was actually really great. We got to ask all the questions we wanted and learned so much about Austin!
Audrey was GREAT! Funny, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She had lots of great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, and shared stories of growing up in Austin.
Great way to spend a couple hours in the morning!

The city is fairly flat, so easily accessible for all. Tyler was full of knowledge about the city’s history and was readily prepared to share photos of buildings from historical time periods so we could view and compare the “back then” to “today” which brought a great perspective to the development of the city. Tyler stuck around after the scheduled tour to be a resource to answer questions and share recommendations of delicious eats (like Terry Blacks BBQ, which was hands down THE BEST). Thanks Tyler for kicking off our Austin visit!

This was a fun & well put together tour. William, our guide was very nice & full of information. He checked in with all the participants before the tour began. At the end of our tour just as he said he would, he sent us a list in a text with all his recommendations so we didn’t have to write anything down. On the tour he projected his voice well, answered questions, & showed pictures on his tablet to further explain some of the sites we saw. This is a tour to add to your list.

William was a knowledgeable, personable, dry, humored, young man who knew so much about downtown Austin. You didn’t feel the 90 minute walking because he had something to teach you at every point. It was a great way to get to know the city on our first day in town. I would recommend it for adults primarily, though teenagers would enjoy as well.

The tour was light on history and more geared towards restaurants and music news. Our tour guide did not seem sufficiently knowledgeable about the history of Austin.

This walking tour totally enhanced my understanding of Austin from a local’s perspective. My tour guide Jake was great! Thoughtful, knowledgeable and funny.
