Great Canal Tour!

We were a bit disappointed when Dave wasn't our tour guide just because the person that we received our recommendation from said to specifically book his tour. Giselle, the tour guide we had, did a great job though. We enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it to others. Going early in the morning when the canals are less crowded is a must in our opinion. We were happy we decided to go early.

Well worth the time for this trip.

Others have said that you spend more time getting to and from Amsterdam, and that part is true. You have a nice clean air conditioned bus to nap or watch the countryside from while in transit. Once you get to Bruges, you are taken back in time to a wonderful and beautiful city. There is a lot to see and you’ll get amazing pictures. Take your time finding a nice restaurant for lunch. Some of them on them main tourist areas are just average. Use some of your bus time to locate a good spot. The tour guides are really good. Be prepared that your bus trip may be given in English and in Spanish. Don’t panic, Your tour in Bruges will be English for English speakers. Someone else will guide the Bruges trip in Spanish for Spanish speakers. Our trip was sunny and hot. The guide says most tours have some rain. Be prepared and check the weather for appropriate clothing and rain gear.

We took this tour with our guide, Luna, who was great! My only regret is that we did not do this sooner. It is my second trip to Amsterdam and had I ridden a bike here earlier, I would have had a better appreciation of the protocols. Otherwise, iit was my favorite experience in Amerstam (yes, better than Ann Frank!).

Captain Don and bartender Lemone were very knowledgeable and humorous in their narration of the tour. The umbrellas provided much needed relief from the 94 degree heat of the day. Drinks were provided and refills regularly checked on. Lots of fun and highly recommend unless rain is threatening.

The perfect mix of laughs, chill vibes, sightseeing, and good times. 😂👏🏽 You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and their energy makes the whole experience feel like hanging out with funny friends who happen to know everything about the city. Between the jokes, music, and beautiful views, the entire boat was vibing. If you’re in Amsterdam and debating a canal tour… THIS is the one. We went with This Is Holland Hop on Hop Off tour company. Very easy to find the meeting point In Amsterdam. Was easy to find them afterwards in a sea of tour buses. The tour is a fun 4hr tour full of the history of Amsdertam and some if the favorite food of the city. Our tour guide was excellent. She was funny, extremely knowledgable, and is a real local of the area we toured. She had an excellent relationship with all the vendors that we visited. She was very engaged with each person on the tour.
