A Perfect Day in Bruges

This tour could not have been better, both because of the subject of the tour (Bruges, Belgium) and because of the efforts of the tour guides. Bruges is a preserved medieval community, and it’s easy to imagine walking (or boating) around it 8-900 years ago. Blanca, our chaperone on the bus, was utterly charming and enthusiastic about going to Bruges, and effectively communicated her excitement to us. Our walking tour guide, Gosia, (sp?), conveyed both her excitement and her knowledge of Bruges’ fascinating history. The plan for the tour left an appropriate amount of free time for ambling about the city, before we had to return to Amsterdam. This tour just could not have been better.

Great tour!

I loved this tour that visited several countryside areas around Amsterdam. Our guide was fantastic and she told great stories. Her name was Carly, well thats how its spelled in English but who knows how it was really spelled. She was a great guide and she told us things about how Dutch people think. I loved her story about another Dutch person saying her town Almere has no soul. That sort of insight is something you can only get from a local. I loved the group size was only about 20 people, but thats just the benefit of traveling in shoulder season before the high season starts. My favorite part of this tour was Volendam, I really loved it there. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a different side to the Netherlands.

The tour was wonderful....

The tour was wonderful. Rachid picked us up at exactly the time and site that was expected. He was friendly and organized. He guided us around at Zaanse Schans and Giethorn, but also provided us with sufficient time to explore on our own. Rachid gave us a bonus by dropping us off at our hotel. We weren’t expecting that, but was much appreciated.

Amazing Tour!!!

Ibrahim was an AMAZING tour guide!!! He provided a wealth of knowledge about the Netherlands throughout the entire tour. Ibrahim was pleasant & kind. He even taught me a little Dutch! The car ride to Giethoorn was informative & so much fun! The village was absolutely adorable with the cottages, canals, & flowers!! When we first arrived, we had a canal cruise which was super fun!! Afterwards, we had a lovely lunch with delicious authentic food!! Then, we were able to tour on foot for an hour & 15 minutes. This was truly an amazing experience! We were so grateful to be able to encounter Ibrahim’s positive energy!! It really made the experience that much better!!! Book the tour with no reservations!! I promise you that it will be worth it!!!

Surprisingly Fun and Relaxed Day Outside Amsterdam

We did the Zaanse Schans Windmills, Clogs and Dutch Cheese Small-Group Tour from Amsterdam, and it ended up being one of the most unexpectedly fun things we did on the trip. I’ll admit going in I thought it might feel a little touristy, like we’d be herded around from place to place, but it was actually really mellow and enjoyable. Our guide immediately put everyone at ease and created a relaxed atmosphere for the whole group. It never felt rushed or crowded, and there was a great balance between learning interesting things and just enjoying the experience. Seeing the windmills up close, learning about the clog-making process, and tasting the Dutch cheeses was all genuinely fun. I found myself thinking multiple times, “Wow, I’m having way more fun than I expected doing this.” Overall, a really well-run tour with a guide who made the whole experience feel easy, welcoming, and memorable. Highly recommend if you want a fun half-day trip outside Amsterdam without it feeling overly structured.

Fun trip outside of AMS

Alex provided a fantastic tour of some of the more unique spots around Amsterdam. I was surprised at the variety of locations, his historical knowledge, and the variety of things to do during the tour. His humor and pacing throughout the day kept the tour fun and lively, and the the tour was a good mixture of free time and guided as we traveled. I would highly recommend to anyone who's interested in the history of the Netherlands outside of Amsterdam, you'll learn to appreciate the history that isn't always taught but it's still relevance to the country.

Great trip, absolutely...

Great trip, absolutely breath-taking gardens. Highly recommend., Location for picking up shuttle was easy to find, there are long lines, but moved very quickly. Busses went as they were filled so no problem if you are early. Return back to Amsterdam was also very smooth and easy to find return bus.

Must see if you're in Amsterdam in April or May

Very popular - lots of people - but has great photo opportunities. We didn't see much fields of tulips though since this was a garden tour. The gift shop doesn't have much in the souvenir section. The windmills tour was also busy but there was ample photo opportunities. The souvenir shops were were well stocked.

Last tulip field in May

We were so fortunate to get to see the last field before the tulips were gone! We were so grateful. It was beautiful and the farmer does such a great job maintaining the property. The Canal cruise was relaxing. The gardens were so pretty and huge! We loved it. Great way to spend the day.

A winning combination … gardens + windmills!

Excellent tour … Keukenhof Gardens still in full bloom and absolutely beautiful and the leisurely canal cruise viewing the windmills and Dutch countryside made for a very enjoyable day. Check-in was simple and well-organized and everything ran exactly on time. Our bus was clean and comfortable and our first stop was for the canal cruise. The boat captain was very friendly and full of information about the windmills and the history of the land. After the one hour cruise, the bus continued onto the gardens where we had as much time as we wanted to wander the garden paths and enjoy the flowers. Return buses, which ran frequently, were very easy to find for the trip from the gardens back to Amsterdam.
