Hop aboard your boat near Rijksmuseum or Amsterdam's Central Station and head out for a cruise of the Amsterdam canals. Sip on Heineken beer or wine and sample typical Dutch snacks as your captain leads you through the city’s famous canals.
Listen to commentary and improve your knowledge of the city as you pass by iconic monuments such as the Anne Frank House and the Jordaan neighborhood, and alongside the houseboat museum in the Prinsengracht, one of the city's three main canals. Continue past the cute shops at 9 Little Streets (Negen Straatjes) and busy Leiden Square and cruise past some of the city's more unusual attractions.
After your 1.5 hour tour, head back to your departure point with an increased knowledge of Amsterdam’s history and geography.

- Due a lot of traffic at the dock, I can't wait more than 5 minutes. Please make sure you are at the dock 10 minutes before departure.
- The tour is a historical canal cruise, it is not a booze cruise. So if you are looking for a bachelor party boat or any other booze cruise, this is not the cruise for you.
- Captain Jack is collaboration between friends. Captain Jack is not himself on the boat.
- Due Health regulations (regarding food) animals are not allowed (service animals excluded).
- A fairly big step needs to be taken to get in the boat. Of course we will assist you.
- Beware all my boats are open. So when it rains, you can get wet. But rebooking with rain is always possible
- I always try to give the best tour possible (5*). But in rare occasion things don't go as you and me would like. Please let me know asap. Either direct or send me an email of text. I will contact you.

JP was an excellent tour guide. My husband and I enjoyed the tour length, comfort, information, and drinks available. I found the tour itself to be easy and approachable without being endlessly talking. JP made sure to teach us the important bits while leaving out the boring anecdotes.

We had a great mid morning canal tour with Captain Jack. Itinerary was as listed, canal boat was clean and decorated beautifuly with flowers. Snacks provided were very good. Got to sample licorace and other great goodies and drinks.

Quite difficult to find the starting point. A Captain Jackbflag would have been helpful. Once there the staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. The Dutch snacks were a little meagre but plenty of wine, beer, soft drinks available. Paul, our guide was very knowledgeable and a good captain. Amsterdam was particularly beautiful and interesting in the sunshine. The umbrellas provided weren't needed for rain but in hindsight we should have sheltered from the midday sun under them.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Amsterdam All-Inclusive 90-Minute Canal Cruise with Captain Jack. Our captain, Paul, was waiting at the meeting point right on time and even generously delayed departure by an extra 15 minutes for passengers who unfortunately never showed up.
Throughout the cruise, Paul provided an informative and engaging commentary on the history of Amsterdam’s famous canals, sharing interesting facts and local insights that made the experience much more than just a boat ride. He was happy to answer questions, clearly knew his subject well, and interacted with passengers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Most importantly, Paul made everyone feel safe and comfortable on board. His patience, kindness, and professionalism were evident throughout the tour.
As a side note, if your schedule allows, consider booking an earlier morning departure. We were told that canal traffic can become quite congested later in the day, and a quieter morning cruise would likely make for an even more relaxing experience.
If you’re looking for a comfortable way to see Amsterdam from the water while learning about the city’s fascinating history, this cruise is an excellent choice.

Captain Tim was amazing! he was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. He pointed out so many wonderful places and spoke perfect English. I would recommend this tour to everyone plus all the variety of drinks that are included as well as some cheese and nibbles were excellent too. Well worth the money and a must see if travelling in Amsterdam!

Check weather before you go. Bring a light jacket just in case. Do the afternoon tour so you can drink wine or beer unless you like to drink in the morning.

Arrived early and they were already waiting and were very kind and helpful learning new things in the area.
While cruising through the canal we learned so many new things about the city. Got some recommendations for the market, a restaurant and supermarket cheese.
Immediately went to the market and it did not disappoint! By far my favorite experience both the boat and market.
We went with our kiddo and he was eager to ask the captain questions. He didn't hesitate and answered all.

We booked the 90 minute canal cruise which started at 9 PM. We went through so many canals and Jay was our captain and he was very knowledgeable and spoke about the canals, the boats, and Amsterdam throughout the tour drinks and snacks were provided and it was a very relaxing and wonderful way to spend an evening. The good thing was although beer and wine were provided, this was in no way a booze cruise. The other guests were lovely, and we all enjoyed the trip.

Due to the height of the front of the boat, it's unable to look at what is being talked about if you were sitting on the lower level. I would definitely put all of love the snack jars in the dishwasher, as there was a film over all of the glass, i'm not sure how long the mint nopjes and broken cookies had been in there. Did not look fresh. There was a blue spot on the cheese.

Provider advertised trip was being offered in covered boat but upon arrival the boat was smaller and open -not as pictured in listing.
When asked your guide blamed Viator for the error as they had changed boats and it was not their fault and refused to provide refund when we declined to participate in the excursion.
Had they notified us the the change of boat prior we would have cancelled as we reviewed the many options available due to covered boat and experience.
Do not recommend - there were many other nicer options to be found just walking along the canals.

We're sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that our canal cruises are operated with open boats, and this is clearly stated in the tour description and reflected in the photos shown on the listing.
We do operate covered boats during the winter season (November through March), but during the rest of the year our cruises take place on our open boats, allowing guests to fully enjoy Amsterdam's canals and surroundings.
We understand that preferences differ, and we're sorry that the experience was not what you were looking for. Nevertheless, we do feel that the tour itself was accurately represented, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

We loved that it was a little longer than other canal tours and all-inclusive drinks were great too. They had umbrelllas for when it started raining, which was appreciated by all. The directions to find the boat were spot on and perfect for someone who’d never been to Amsterdam.

This is a fantastic way to see Amsterdam. The buildings are beautiful from the water and you see the famous churches and other landmarks by taking the longer one and three-quarter hour tour. The guide Roland was very knowledgeable and friendly and patient with my questions. I highly recommend it!

Open boat near the dinner hour is wonderful - peaceful, friendly crowd, with drink varieties offered. Captain was informative and sites were grand. Best to do a 90 minute vs. a 1 hour cruise - you see so much more.
