Make your way to the centrally located meeting point, hop aboard a classic wooden saloon boat, and settle in for a relaxing journey through Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canals. If you've upgraded, your guide will hand you a platter full of Dutch cheese paired with mustard, to nibble on during the ride, plus unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks.
Your cruise begins by gliding along the Prinsengracht, past landmarks such as the Anne Frank House (Anne Frank Huis), before continuing down the Bloemgracht, Amstel, Herengracht, Singel, and Keizersgracht. Take in sights along the way of key attractions such as as De 9 Straatjes, Rijksmuseum, Skinny Bridge (Magere Brug), and Bloemenmarkt. Your guide points out each landmark, and fills you in on its history.

This was excellent! Our guides were wonderful, so friendly and engaging, and it was clear that they enjoyed their job. We had such a great time, I would absolutely recommend! (For reference, we ranged in age from 9-75, so it was perfect for the whole family!)

This was the boat I booked but not the boat I got. I might as well have booked a booze cruise with ridiculous “boys” commentating rather than informing the entire time. There were 2 kids on the microphone and 1 was so rude and disrespectful my husband actually had to tell him to chill out. I should say that I was called by the operators a few days before the ride to change my time from 5:30 to 5:15 and I agreed. I did not understand this was changing my expected experience completely. I asked numerous employees before boarding and after boarding if I was on the right trip, showing my tickets and the pictures shown on viator and was told yes. Very very very disappointed.

What a great way to start our vacation in Amsterdam! The tour was amazing, funny, easy to follow, and kept us hydrated. The “Gowda” cheese was also amazing! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city!

Had fun on the tour, there was some sort of mix up and we were sent the directions to a different starter point. We were worried we’d miss out but shoutout to Leah at the Anne Frank haus starting point, she got us onto that boat and we were able to have a blast! Thanks leah!

It was nice to be on the water, but I was expecting a scenic cruise through town with some city learning/information. Not just ride in a busy canal.

Sophie, our guide, had the perfect amount of information and humour. Hans was a good 'driver'. Drinks flowed freely and the cheese was plentiful and tasted really good with the mustard.

This is a great option to take a canal cruise even if the weather is rainy or cold. We were seated in a fully covered saloon boat. The ride itself is relaxing and the guide was funny. She gave us a lot of information about Dutch culture. If you upgrade, you'll get the Dutch Gouda cheese, mustard, and wine or beer. This is only a 1-hour cruise, so it's easy to squeeze into an otherwise packed day.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived as a college group with our lecturer and before we even left the dock the captain was extremely rude and blunt to us, saying he doesn’t like big groups and didn’t want any hassle from us, even though we had caused none.
Our tickets were for the all-inclusive cheese and wine option, but we were told we hadn’t booked it because we didn’t have wristbands, despite our tickets clearly including it. When the cheese and wine eventually came out it was very slow, poorly organised, and we didn’t even receive any crackers.
Overall we were very unhappy with the experience. The captain’s attitude was unprofessional and the service did not match what we paid for.

Avoid this cruise if travelling in a large group. Captain showed clear distaste the moment we boarded, immediately dampening the mood. They were slow to release cheese and wine, and we were given no crackers. The assumption that as a young group we would be messy was frankly insulting, and we are sorry we wasted our money on such a rude wasted experience in comparison to all others we’ve had on our trip. I would not recommend this to anybody, there are plenty of others offering experiences in Amsterdam that will approach you with warmth rather than hostility. The only positive was the boat crew, who were kind in the face of the captains rudeness

Definitely don’t go if your a mid twenties group, the captain is clearly annoyed he’s growing old and isn’t happy about it. Before the boat left the dock we were subject to a hostile speech informing us he wasn’t happy that we were a big group, for absolutely no reason.
Hopefully nobody else has to experience his rage for young people who like to enjoy their lives.
They took 20 minutes to review our tickets to prove we paid for wine and cheese, saying we didn’t have wristbands so we don’t have wine or cheese booked.

Seating is cramped and you don’t get to choose your seat. They put us at a spot likely designed for 2 but crammed 2 couples in there. If you are looking for a cruise thru the canal with ok wine and decent cheese this is it. Not overly informative, intriguing, or special. If you can find value it’s in the spring break style bottomless cup, but it’s definitely a touristy exploitation.

The crew and our guide were both courteous and funny! We met lots of other travelers. Had a great time learning some Amsterdam history while enjoying the canal sites. Highly recommend this boat along with the drinks (beer and wine) and cheese tray.

Edward was the skipper for this boat and he was wonderful. Was very knowledgeable about Amsterdam as we were riding through the canals. It was so nice to enjoy some prosecco and stroll through the beauty of the city. Highly recommend!

I did an evening tour, 6.30pm. The overall boat trip was nice and there was a little history shared. However, it did not go through any of the areas listed and the night tour was not as spectacular as everyone mentions. This was not just as a result of the rain. Generally the route taken did not have spectacular lit up views. Plus I missed the seven bridges as was told too late. The host themselves were friendly and energetic.
Wine and cheese was unlimited. I did not add this on but for those who did this part seemed good.
