Great tour. Very laid back and comfy. We were able to see a lot of Amsterdam from the canals. We thought we would see Anne Franks house, if we did it wasn’t pointed out to us, but that’s ok, will just add it to the to-do list for next time!

We really enjoyed this cruise. Our captain Anna was top notch. Very knowledgeable. The boat was comfortable. The drinks and snacks were excellent. I definitely recommend this experience. If you are lucky, you will get Anna as wor captain!

The boat ride was very nice and enjoyed seeing parts of the city. The actual guide was so so. I wish he had provided more info on Amsterdam and its history.

Our guide Lon was very knowledgeable and entertaining. There was a little trouble finding the exact location, but the staff made sure they contacted us and helped with that. For anyone who might have the same difficulty with the map point being a bit off…look for a boat with bright orange flowers on it.

We had an amazing afternoon with Captain Paul! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam and so very personable. The boat was charming with flowers and orange umbrellas to block the sun that made photos so memorable. Thanks for an unforgettable afternoon!

A beautiful, fun and relaxing way to see the city and learn more about the iconic architecture, history and culture while having a little wine or beer. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly making the trip fun and enjoyable. This is a small group tour so far better vs. many of the other larger boats, well worth the small additional cost.

We had a fantastic experience on the Captain Jack canal cruise in Amsterdam. The boat was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. Captain Mook (I hope I’ve spelled that correctly!) was incredibly informative, attentive, and knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts and stories throughout the tour. His friendly and professional approach made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Amsterdam! In addition, it’s a very affordable price!

Harry did an awesome job. I have been on at least 3 canal tours and this was different than the others, so fun!!! Helped by the beautiful day, but the open air boat and the great tour guide are the way to go.

Jure was our captain and did a great job explaining all the sites. It was a very relaxing and informative ride through the beautiful canals and I would highly recommend this excursion. These are open boats compared to many of the other companies where they are closed in which I highly recommend as well.

Best 90 minutes of our trip to Amsterdam! Albert was our captain and his love and long time experience living in this lovely city made our tour entertaining and informational. We saw so much - not just bridges but interesting architecture and the history behind it, the zoo and even a baby elephant and its mama and a giraffe as we cruises along. Albert even paused and backed up for everyone to see. We had an amazing sunny day - in early May! - truly enjoyed every minute! I did a lot of research before making a reservation and the extra 30 minutes, open boat (which gives you a wide open panoramic view and the incredible stops made it a standout choice that didn’t let us down! Such a great way to experience this beautiful and historic city.

Tim was our captain, he was wonderful and full of historic information. I do wish that he pointed out historic buildings a littler more. He answered any question that we had. Over a friendly and funny captain. We got lucky and it was a sunny day, perfect for pictures.

We’re glad to hear the company, captain, and refreshments were all doing their job, that’s already half the magic of a good canal cruise
That said… a boat that isn’t quite “boat-ing” is a bit of a plot twist, we agree. That’s certainly not the experience we aim to deliver, and we’ll be looking into what went wrong there so future trips stay fully afloat in every sense.
As for the toilet situation, our boats like to keep things light, breezy, and… bathroom-free. It’s part of the open-boat charm, though we understand it’s not ideal for everyone. It's in our description as well!

It was a well rounded tour. I felt we saw a more intimate side of Amsterdam on the canals. Glad it was 90 minutes.

Highly recommend using Captain Jacks canal cruise….we opted for the cruise with no snacks or drinks. I would choose this option again, whilst the drinks & snacks were freely available (to those that had paid for it) I’m not sure the extra cost was worth what you’d realistically consume in 1.5hr. The boat clean & comfortable. There were approx 20 people on out tour - the boat carried a max of 30 - so a good size. The staff were welcoming and our guide (a local) clearly loved his job and was really knowledgeable.

Despite the tour description saying “Open or closed boat depending on weather” our tour was in the rain and wind in an uncovered boat.

If you read we have open and closed boats. Why did you book the open boat then? Than you should have booked the closed boat. I don't understand.

Amazing commentary from Captain Yankee our Capt Jack for the day. He gave historic facts, comedic insights and memories as well as the do's/don'ts in Amsterdam and recommendations on places to eat and visit. His story telling was funny and made the tour a fun excursion. Recommended highly!
