It was a great experience. No signs so you need a map. Food and drink included was a nice touch. We seen all the canals. Totally recommend the 90 minute cruise.
Great tour! The tour guide provided lots of interesting iinformation and helped guest board and debark, if needed. He had snacks, wine and drinks on board that guest could help themselves to. Pro tip: Use the restroom before the tour because it's 1.30 hours!
The tour is great, but for a couple of things. First thing I noticed was how filthy the area around the dock was. There was broken glass and trash about. If I were running a business in the area, I might tidy up regardless of whose responsibility it might be to do so. Next, the flowers around the boat were lovely but too high. I had to stand to see about me. Otherwise, our guide Martin was great and the experience a fun time.
Great commentary and being in Amsterdam is a must do. Smaller boat and number of people made the experiance more personal.
Combination of history, architecture, and good fun. Wes pointed out oddities and why they are there. Good size number of people in the boat. Nuce “adult” snacks.
Great to see all. The guide stellar was new but very knowledgeable. Saw all we needed about Amsterdam
Perfect way to experience Amsterdam 1 1/2 hours was perfect saw so much. Frodo was amazing captain and guide. Only 12 people on board, plenty of room. Boat very quiet and waters very calm. Tons of alcohol soda cheese crackers and Dutch treats. Easy to find boat.

The canal cruise was okay. I picked this company because they offered a meeting place close to our hotel by Rijksmuseum. I was hoping the tour guide would have given more commentary about the city or famous sites of the city. There was some information provided about the history of Amsterdam here and there, but not enough. It was a rather quiet ride. There were drinks (alcoholic and not) and some snacks native to Amsterdam. That was a nice perk. Definitely worth doing a canal cruise. Just not sure that Captain Jacks is any better than any other canal cruise out there.

We also understand your comment about the guiding. Our cruises are meant to be relaxed, but they should still include enough stories, history and information about Amsterdam and the sights along the route. From your review, it sounds like the balance was too quiet on this departure.

Great tour. Very laid back and comfy. We were able to see a lot of Amsterdam from the canals. We thought we would see Anne Franks house, if we did it wasn’t pointed out to us, but that’s ok, will just add it to the to-do list for next time!
We really enjoyed this cruise. Our captain Anna was top notch. Very knowledgeable. The boat was comfortable. The drinks and snacks were excellent. I definitely recommend this experience. If you are lucky, you will get Anna as wor captain!
The boat ride was very nice and enjoyed seeing parts of the city. The actual guide was so so. I wish he had provided more info on Amsterdam and its history.

A great canal trip, very informative by David,the captain. The 90 minutes went very quickly, it was so enjoyable. Would recommend the trip.
Our guide Lon was very knowledgeable and entertaining. There was a little trouble finding the exact location, but the staff made sure they contacted us and helped with that. For anyone who might have the same difficulty with the map point being a bit off…look for a boat with bright orange flowers on it.
We had an amazing afternoon with Captain Paul! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam and so very personable. The boat was charming with flowers and orange umbrellas to block the sun that made photos so memorable. Thanks for an unforgettable afternoon!
A beautiful, fun and relaxing way to see the city and learn more about the iconic architecture, history and culture while having a little wine or beer. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly making the trip fun and enjoyable. This is a small group tour so far better vs. many of the other larger boats, well worth the small additional cost.
We went on the 8.30pm cruise after a long hot summers day and it was so relaxing. Just what was needed. Plenty of drinks ans snacks on board and the guide, Jay, was really informative.
Jessie provided interesting commentary on a lovely cruise through many canals. We thought we had seen a lot walking, but we saw so many more canals and buildings from the water.
We had a fantastic experience on the Captain Jack canal cruise in Amsterdam. The boat was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. Captain Mook (I hope I’ve spelled that correctly!) was incredibly informative, attentive, and knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts and stories throughout the tour. His friendly and professional approach made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Amsterdam! In addition, it’s a very affordable price!

Enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the canals of Amsterdam. Good sights to see along the canals, as well as interesting and informative guide. Ask how many bikes they estimate are lying in the bottom of the canals!

Harry did an awesome job. I have been on at least 3 canal tours and this was different than the others, so fun!!! Helped by the beautiful day, but the open air boat and the great tour guide are the way to go.
Jure was our captain and did a great job explaining all the sites. It was a very relaxing and informative ride through the beautiful canals and I would highly recommend this excursion. These are open boats compared to many of the other companies where they are closed in which I highly recommend as well.
Best 90 minutes of our trip to Amsterdam! Albert was our captain and his love and long time experience living in this lovely city made our tour entertaining and informational. We saw so much - not just bridges but interesting architecture and the history behind it, the zoo and even a baby elephant and its mama and a giraffe as we cruises along. Albert even paused and backed up for everyone to see. We had an amazing sunny day - in early May! - truly enjoyed every minute! I did a lot of research before making a reservation and the extra 30 minutes, open boat (which gives you a wide open panoramic view and the incredible stops made it a standout choice that didn’t let us down! Such a great way to experience this beautiful and historic city.
