Perfect way to see the city! Not too much time and definitely worth the price tag. We received 3 glasses of beer, wine or soda, which was perfect for our trip. Highly recommend.

Great guides and boat! Lots of cool information and also the guides had great senses of humors. Wish our boat canopy had been put down as it made viewing a bit more difficult. The meeting point is a little tricky since there was many boat companies that leave from this location. Just ask, ask, ask any boat company and they were all very helpful in locating the correct one. A great way to see the canals with a fun staff!

We booked in low time, so we were lucky enough to get a tour all to ourselves. Huib and Ties were both amazing and gave us lots of facts about history and pointed out important landmarks. Additionally, they gave us great recommendations for things to do in Amsterdam! Would ABSOLUTELY recommend!!!

smaller and more open than the giant enclosed tour boats. Both the Captain and guide were knowledgeable, and had terrific, fun attitudes. All of us were smiling and laughing and enjoying, while in the big enclosed boat we passed, nobody was even smiling. 10 people total on our boat, having wine and cheese and an awesome experience.

We didn’t realize we’d booked this canal tour on King’s Day which I think definitely altered our experience. The city and canals were packed with everyone playing loud music so there wasn’t an opportunity to hear about the architecture and history like the listing says. We would have changed our booking date had we known this would be the case. However, it was a nice reprieve to be on the water rather than the packed city streets for a bit and to see the city from a new perspective.

The live guides weren’t really live for this trip/day

This was my second canal tour after the first one 7 years ago. Unfortunately, the guides didn’t really give much of an explanation throughout. They might have talked no more than 10% of the time? I ended up remembering items and places on my own and wondering why they weren’t sharing with the guests. I ended up sharing my old memories with my family. They had a new guide on his second day and the experiences guide probably said 3-4 times that he’ll take over.. and he never proactively explained or pointed out anything on his own more than once-twice.

The trip was incredible! So informative about the neighborhoods and history of Amsterdam, we got free snacks, and the guides were SUPERR funny too! 100% recommend spending the little extra $ for open air seating, it makes it worth it! Definitely a highlight of our trip

We had a great host who showed us such an unexpected side of the Amsterdam canals and was hilarious to chat with. We fared past the zoo in Amsterdam, where we even saw some zebras ;). And of course the drinks and snacks were a great bonus too. Overal a great choice!

Canal tour

Sam was a wonderful pilot-guide. Entertaining and engaging. We were able to travel canals the larger boats could not. Throw blankets are provided if your trip turns chilly. Snacks and wine too! Fun all around.
