Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. He had a bigger group to deal with amidst all of the traffic and such, and he handled it efficiently and still with kindness and good humor. 🙂 You will definitely want to make sure everyone is comfortable on a bike! Biking in Amsterdam was probably the coolest way to see it in this short amount of time we had on a layover come up but it did feel like being a part of bike rush hour! The locals bike fest and you are right amongst the other cars and people walking. What an amazing tour and I'm so grateful that we did it! It was our first time navigating our family in Amsterdam and it was easy to find from the station. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the bikes worked great!

The bike ride was very nice even if the sun was not shining. The guide on our tour was very good and had original pictures to show us the history which was very useful.

The small group bike tour was excellent. Willhem our tour guide was so knowledgeable and helpful, the staff in the store were great at getting us set up. Amsterdam definitely is not a bike friendly city. I enjoyed it but my wife didn’t; too much traffic and it’s somewhat dangerous.

The tour guide was very pleasant but the bikes were very poor quality. We didn't get to hear much about the history or monuments. It felt like we were just riding.

Thanks for your feedback! Normally our tours are centered around history and stories. We will check in with the guide to see what could be improved. We are convinced it’s important to own bikes that last for years instead of bikes that can be discarded in no time. That is why some of our bikes show signs of wear. We hope we have a chance to give you a better experience next time!

The tour is a great way to see a lot of Amsterdam in a short time. Our guide was knowledgeable at each stop and shared interesting facts.
But the logistics of this tour were surprising. In a group of 10 people that included a two kids maybe ages 6 and 7, we were given very cursory rules of the road. In a city that is packed with cyclists and cars, we were often stretched out, some of us stuck at lights while others went ahead. The kids rode right behind the guide but were right in the thick of traffic, too. I was amazed there was not a second guide riding at the rear. At one point, a rider had an issue and was well behind and out of sight of the guide. Another rider helped her. The guide also was having bike issues and stayed with the group, waiting for the others to eventually catch up. Two guides would’ve helped a great deal.

Wonderful, informative tour of the city. Lucy’s was awesome and friendly and full of knowledge, being a local! Riding bikes in Amsterdam is no joke. Not for the faint of heart!

We had a great time on this tour while learning the history of Amsterdam. Our guide was very knowledgeable and at times quite funny! Be aware that riding bikes in downtown Amsterdam is not a leisurely activity. One must be aware of other bike riders, cars, and pedestrians. They are everywhere! That being said, I found the tour to be exhilarating and have many great memories from this adventure. One more thing- the bikes we rode had only one hand brake and that was for the front wheel. To slow the back wheel we had to pedal backwards. This took awhile for me to get used to.

The tour was perfect for our short time in Amsterdam. We were able to see a lot of the city and lean quite a bit of history. The only negative is that some of the bikes were poor quality and one of ours actually broke down midway through the tour. They were able to provide a replacement quickly so it worked out. Overall great experience and David our tour guide was exceptional!

We had a 7-hour layover in Amsterdam so we booked this bike tour. It was a great way to learn and get a quick look at this sprawling historic city. If you plan to do the same on your next layover, store your luggage at the airport and hop on the train into the city. The bike shop is only a 10-minute walk from the train station.
The roads, however, are not for the faint of heart. Next time I would familiarize myself with the rules of the road before jumping on a bike in Amsterdam. Our tour guide took the lead, but our group was often separated (lights change fast) so you may find yourself left on your own to navigate the busy intersections.

Really enjoyed pedalling through the city with our guide Sophie. Felt safe in traffic & found the history as well as Sophie’s stories interesting & at times funny! The pace was good, not too fast so I kept up easily. Would definitely recommend.

Great tour! First time being in Amsterdam and this tour really highlighted a lot of the top locations within Amsterdam including the following: Vondelpark, Museum Center which highlights a lot of the top museums in the areas, Anne Frank House, etc. The tour guide was very informative and ensured we had a nice mix of history, sightseeing, and fantastic bike routes. I would definitely recommend.
