Guide (Pearce) was great. But the other bikers really struggled with biking which meant we were very slow and had to stop often.
Fantastic bike tour. Love seeing the scenery and hearing about the dutch landscapes just outside of Amsterdam. You need to be able to ride a bike for a longer trip. We did 19 miles. Incredible Tour! Willem was great. Highly recommended!

Hi!
We are thrilled that you had such a great experience on the countryside bike tour with Willem, even if it was a bit long. And of course, the apple pie is a must!
Thank you for your review; it truly means a lot.
All the best,
Thijs
Trey was very informative and full of fun facts . He knew a lot about the local History as well . I would definitely revolt his to friends and family .
Astrid did a great job of leading our group onto a ferry and out of the city into the beautiful and peaceful countryside. She shared lots of information and answered all other questions with humour and enthusiasm with a good pace and number of stops. Loved the apple pie stop and lovely chats with fellow group members. Highly recommended.
Beautiful landscapes and lovely tour guide. Full of knowledge and fun. Nice to get out of the city for another prospective of Amsterdam/dutch culture.
Lovely day in the country, so nice to get out of the city. Nice and flat ride and quality bikes; the stop for apple pie was very nice and the pie amazing. The seats were not for the faint of heart if you have bike shorts

This was a great tour- I liked that we didn’t go to too busy of tourist spots- we went to a local cafe for our half way break. We biked through picturesque farmlands and learned a lot of about the dams and terrain. Would definitely encourage friends to go. William was a great guide. Thank you!
Our guide was Pearse, and he had certainly kissed the Blarney Stone. Great fun event. Would highly recommend it.
Informative, fun, and a great guide. A nice way to see a beautiful city. Easy biking terrain, 3 nice hours.

Great way to learn about the history of Amsterdam and the land and waterways affecting the entire area. It was beautiful outside the city for an afternoon. The tour guide was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. The Apple pie in the small village inside the old schoolhouse was amazing!

Sipko our guide was extremely friendly, spoke English well, gave a clear directions, and ensured our safety. He showed interest in where we are from, Canada. He was well versed in Amsterdam and area history. Time very well spent in the countryside, that you normally wouldn’t when visiting the area. The Apple Pie stop was also a highlight.
This was an exceptional experience that I’ll always remember. Lynne was an incredible tour guide. She was fun, knowledgeable and kind.
We were so lucky to have the sunshine and lovely, friendly people with us. The views were stunning and the landscape easy to navigate. I’ll definitely use Viator again for other adventures.
Sander was an amazing guide for our countryside tour. It was very scenic and the stop at the Hotel-Café De Zwaan in Ransdorp was a great break with tasty drinks and pie. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get outside of the busy city for half a day.

Easy ride along the countryside Northeast of Amsterdam. We stopped at a nice cafe about half way and had a light bite. Trey was a very friendly guide.
Be prepared for rain even if it’s not forecasted!!

Fantastic bike tour and our guide, Pierce, was AMAZING. We learned a lot about many aspects of Dutch life outside of Amsterdam. It is a lot of biking which we loved but requires a certain level of fitness and bike skill!

This is one of the best ways to escape the city for half a day.
I almost missed my chance, but they were kind enough to rebook me to 5 Nov 2025. And somehow the stars are all aligned today. From the guide, to the weather, to the mix of participants - everything was perfect.
(1) The guide.
Our guide for the tour was Pearse. His enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the areas made the tour engaging and made me appreciate the rich heritage and beauty of the country even more.
(2) The bicycles.
I noticed all the bicycles are well maintained, they even looked new. The shop where the meet up point is is also very clean and spotless.
(3) The itinerary. The routes and the pit stops are perfect blend of scenic beauty, local culture and refreshing exploration.
(4) The group. There were 8 of us. 2 French, 1 Aussie, 1 Scottish, 2 English, 1 Singaporean and 1 Malaysian (me). Everyone was nice to everyone.
(5) Lastly, the weather. We were lucky to have a perfect day to enjoy the ride.
**
And yes, this is a highly recommended tour.

Great ride out to the countryside. The tour starts with a quick bike ride from the bike shop to the ferry and then picks back up across the river. We rode through beautiful scenery and stopped halfway for coffee and dessert. Be sure you are comfortable riding a bike otherwise the portions of riding in the city (albeit short) could feel a bit harrowing. Really glad we did this tour. Even got to stop at a windmill for pictures!
