You have to be able to walk and keep up with the group....we had an elderly couple that struggled, which slowed down the tour and didn't want them to get too far behind and possibly get lost.
Robert_D, May 2026
The tour was better than advertised. Our guide, Kees, was amazing. You could really feel his passion. His personal family history made it even more moving!
Response from Host, May 2026
Robert, thank you very much! We are always welcome on tours with Amsterdam Experiences.

A walk with our guide Guido following the last steps that Anne Frank took from near her home to the house where she spent her time in hiding.
A very knowledgeable guide who also gave a lot of insights into life during the war that Dutch people endured. Somber but thought provoking. The virtual walk through of the house was amazing. A brilliant idea as getting tickets into the actual house was virtually impossible.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Julie, for your kind review! Guido and all of us really appreciate it.
Margo_T, Apr 2026
This is a wonderful tour of Anne Frank’s last walk and our guide Guido was exceptional! He obviously knows his history but he also loves what he does and is very articulate in telling the story. The VR tour at the end was an exceptional way to see the Frank’s home as it was during their stay (and we did not have to climb any steep stairs to do that)!
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Margo, very much! We will send your kind words to Guido.
Winny_L, Apr 2026
Great explanation and sufficient information about the journey of Anne Frank and the war. The little walk is totally manageable.
Response from Host, May 2026
Winny, thank you so much! We were happy to have you on the tour.
Vasanth_S, Apr 2026
Excellent and informative tour. We loved it. Virtual reality was awesome! I think it is better than getting tickets and actually go inside. We had an awesome tour guide; kudos to him!
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Vasanth, for your compliments!
Mary_H, Apr 2026
We enjoyed our tour with guide Michael, he was informative and was able to answer all the questions asked by tour guests. This just may be the best way to see the house. No lines, no struggles to get tickets, etc. Just and FYI....when we got to the café, we did have to climb a set of stairs to a loft area for the virtual visit.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Mary! It was a pleasure to have on the tour.
Mark_S, Apr 2026
This tour provides so much information about the Resistance movement, the history of the Frank family and the plight of Jewish people in the 1930s and 40s! Our guide was amazing and the virtual tour was excellent! I have been to the Anne Frank house previously and this tour is a wonderful complement to that!`
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Mark, for choosing us!
Deborah_B, Apr 2026
This experience exceeded all 6 of our groups’ expectations. Our guide, Michael, was thorough, informative, and easily answered all our questions while encouraging more. The VR experience was much better than you might expect and was the next best alternative to being inside the annex. You are able to see everything exactly as it is in the annex, all in perfect space proportions. The walk through the city was an easy walk and provided both time and space to discuss the history of the era and the significance of the surrounding areas along the way.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you so much, Deborah, for your detailed review! We're always there for you at Amsterdam Experiences.
Lauren_K, Apr 2026
Our guide was Zarah, who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was well organized and based on the description, it met all our expectations. The virtual reality tour was a wonderful way to experience the living quarters of the Frank family.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you, Lauren! You are always welcome to our tours with Amsterdam Experiences.
Ketty_P, Apr 2026
It was a fun activity. Michael our guide was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. It made up for not being able to get tickets to the museum. The VR experience was outstanding.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you, Ketty! It was fun to spend that tour with you.
Susan_B, Apr 2026

Frank_M, Apr 2026
It was horrible. We never even walked infront of the building a lot of info that we already knew from reading the book or saw the movie
Walked along way for nothing- virtual experience was not the best
Our guide was very soft spoken and could not hear him 1/2 the time
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hi Frank, we are sorry that you didn't enjoy your tour. The front of the Anne Frank house is very busy with tourists taking photos and catching boats and you don't see the building very well from that angle. We give guests the option of going over there if they wish, but it is generally better if you wish to see the door to do so after the tour.
The virtual reality experience is designed by the Anne Frank foundation and shows you parts of the house that you can't see when you visit in person. It also shows you the house with furniture and belongings, just how it was when the families were living there.
Our guides do not shout whilst on tour, as that isn't permitted and also doesn't make for a pleasant tour experience. This is why we ask our guests to stay with the group and not wander off away from the guide when they are speaking.
SUSAN_F, Nov 2025
The guide, Kees, was very knowledgeable and spoke well. We walked but it was not too far. The virtual tour of the house was great with all the original furniture in place.

Clare_J, Nov 2025
Very interesting walking tour with lots of stops along the way telling you about Amsterdam and Anne Frank’s life. Our tour guide Michael was great. He read excerpts from Anne’s diary to really help you understand what she experienced during the occupation of the Netherlands. The VR experience was very interesting too, being able to see in the rooms of the house the Frank family hid in during the war.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you, Clare for choosing us!
Sue_G, Oct 2025
Our original tour guide didn’t show up due to a medical emergency. When I called, she rushed to meet the group within 15 minutes. She’s very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend

Tracy_O, Sep 2025
Virtual tour was unique and interesting to see. We were sad that the real tour was closed during our trip to Amsterdam and liked this very much.
Jason_F, Sep 2025
We had an incredible experience on the Anne Frank walking tour and virtual reality experience. Our guide, Zarah, was absolutely amazing—so knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. Her passion for sharing Amsterdam’s history, especially the stories from the German occupation of the 1940s, really brought everything to life.
The walking portion was a lovely way to explore the neighborhoods of Amsterdam while learning powerful and important history along the way. The VR experience was a fantastic addition—fun, interactive, and a powerful visualization of how the Frank family hid during the Nazi occupation.
This tour is both moving and educational, and Zarah’s energy and storytelling make it even more special. Highly recommend Zarah and this tour!
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you, Jason, for your warm detailed review. We really appreciate it.

I advise anyone to take a taxi to the meeting place. Unfortunately my husband and I could not find the Statue where we were to meet our group and missed the tour.
We of course were disappointed but it was our fault as we attempted to navigate our travel through an unfamiliar city. I’m sure we missed a wonderful walking tour. Karen F
Laura_h, Sep 2025
David was wonderful! So knowledgeable and helpful about Amsterdam and the Anne Frank tour was fantastic!
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you, Laura! We will send your nice words to David!
Linda_M, Sep 2025
A fair amount of walking necessary. Our guide Michael was phenomenal! Pleasant, knowledgeable, informative, engaging. The virtual experience was nothing like I had ever seen (literally) and was a significant plus to rounding out the tour. We actually went into the house museum to tour after and honestly the virtual tour was a bit more intriguing... highly recommended.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you, Linda, for your compliments!
Joan_V, Aug 2025
It was really informative - Our tour guide Dave was excellent.
The virtual realty aspect was great - made not being able to go into the actual house less disappointing.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, Joan! We also enjoy Dave's stories about Anne Frank.
John_D, Aug 2025
Our tour guide was great. Tooks us to various parts of Amsterdam that included the path the Frank family took to get to the house behind the house. His knowledge of the history led to us learning much more than we expected. The virtual tour at the end was amazing. The house is quite small (found out on a previous visit) so it can be very claustrophobic. The virtual tour eliminated that aspect.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, John! We're always there for you at Amsterdam Experiences.
Haydn_L, Aug 2025

Keiss was a phenomenal guide. He’s even the great grandson of “the last Amsterdam Jew”. His historical narrative was on point with all the details that mattered. The whole narrative was very interesting and amenable. One experience to do!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you, Betsy! We're happy you joined us on the tour.
Elaine_F, Jul 2025
Thanks to the luck of the Irish had a fantastic tour . Catherine our tour guide was so knowledgeable, made our time very enjoyable. Her passion for the life of Anne Frank was clearly evident . The highlight of the day was the virtual tour of The Anne Frank House and finding out that Hannah Goslar attended the tour on the 75th anniversary . Great tour , would wholeheartedly recommend.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
