Relaxed Cruising the Canals
Captain Don and bartender Lemone were very knowledgeable and humorous in their narration of the tour. The umbrellas provided much needed relief from the 94 degree heat of the day. Drinks were provided and refills regularly checked on. Lots of fun and highly recommend unless rain is threatening.

Captain Guus was a delight!
Guus was a very fine guide. He was very interested in everyone's safety and comfort. Guus pointed out the various architectural styles, the history, and the quirky nature of some of the buildings and houseboats we passed. He answered all questions thoroughly.

Must Do Upon Arrival in Amsterdam
Embarkation is down stairs to your far right if the station is directly behind you. We had the good fortune of booking an early cruise on the first day without a cover on the boat. Fabulous views! Maurits was a great guide. Answered lots of questions and showed us the layout of the canal system. Great thing to do first in Amsterdam to start to figure out where things are.

Must do experience!
We had the best morning with Captain Ollie! Going on two weeks of travel and he was one of the best tour guides we have had thus far. We did the morning canal cruise which was so peaceful and gave us a look at the city before it was bustling with people. He was great with our kids and they really enjoyed the ride. We passed several large tour boats and I was grateful we booked with Capt Dave’s. It was a very small group which was nice to connect with other people and not feel like you were packed into a boat.

If there’s one item atop every Amsterdam agenda, it’s a canal cruise. Four 17th-century canals form the heart of the city’s Canal District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making an Amsterdam cruise the perfect way to discover this historic city. Sail by day or by night, in an open boat or a closed boat, with a guide or without; add champagne, cheese, candlelight, a four-course dinner, or an open bar; or book a private canal boat just for you. From reflected bridges to high-gabled houses, Amsterdam cruises never disappoint.
