We had one of Dave's friends as our captain, she was fantastic! Canal tour is a great way to see the city from the canals with the original buildings from the 1600s, learn so much about the city and relax at the same time. The reason I chose Captain Dave's was because it is a covered boat, which was necessary when we were on our tour as it was raining a little bit, and it has a bathroom on board.
Nice relaxing canal cruise. Tour captain was knowledgeable and personable. Fun small group tour to get a different view of the city!
What a great tour and great views of Amsterdam on this canal cruise. Our driver was very knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor. Great touch with local bread, coffee, etc for the trip.
Even with Captain Dave not being able to do the cruise our substitute - John? - was awesome.
This is a rain or shine event but the cruise was covered the whole time.

Captain Dave was amazing!! He kept the boat exclusive for our group, moved the pickup location closer to our hotel and regaled us with stories of history, intrigue and family!!

Boat ride was okay, told at beginning by boat captain no talking politics but boat captain starts talking politics. Narra9a little lacking.
Stein the captain of our boat was outstanding! He was very knowledgeable of all the canals and all the great history of Amsterdam. He was extremely attentive to all the passengers needs..
A lot of laughs while you drink. We had Captain Dave’s first mate. He had a ton of knowledge and kept a rowdy bunch laughing and enjoying the beautiful city
The small size of the tour group made this a very personable outing! The group on board was fun and lively which made for a great time.
Captain Dave’s group was extremely engaging and knowledgeable and provided interesting and informative commentary - all very of which was live and not prerecorded! There were plenty of beverages provided - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic and since a birthday was being celebrated Captain Dave’s brought on some special treats for all passengers!
The boat was comfortable but crowded with ample space for all on board.
Can’t speak highly enough about Captain Dave and Captain Kareem and would happily recommend this group to anyone seeking a canal cruise in Amsterdam.
Very intimate with the small group...the tour was very informative and the gentleman was professional and funny ...would recommend to anyone who wanted more of private tour but not pricey.
This was lovely tour with drinks the only problem I have was finding where the boat left from If you do not have google no one knew where to catch it from No signs and even shop keepers in the area did not know We were sent from one end of the canal to the other and thenback again The only way we found out where itwas leaving from was from others that we finally met that were waiting

Stang did a great job taking us through the canal system and making sure we had enough beverages. Not a lot of running commentary as in a typical tour but he answered all yhe questions we asked. Would do it again. Very relaxing boat ride.
The canal ride with Roman was awesome and one of the highlights of the trip to Amsterdam.

Boat had an interesting history. It was quite comfortable. The captain/guide was informative. Drinks were available at the start and during the tour. Cabin had windows that permitted air circulation and ability to take clear photographs. The guide/captain identified some key historical sights during the tour.
