Free shuttles will take you downtown and drop you at Harrigan Centennial Hall. Facing the building, look left for a line of vans. Ours is grey with the SEAK Adventure logo. A guide will be there holding a whiteboard with your last name.

Family enjoyed this trip. Beautiful area, no rain for us, did not get wet. Saw lots of sea life and sea lions and eagles. Beautiful lighthouse. Loved getting to see the real Sitka, not just cruise port!

This tour, led by Charlie and Liz, was the absolute highlight of our 10 day Alaska adventure! Our group included my husband and I and our 3 adult kids, 27, 18, and 16. We were all novice kayakers, but had no trouble at all keeping up. Charlie and Liz made sure we were safe, knew how to paddle properly, and had a great time! We saw Salmon (up close when Charlie caught one with his bare hands!), starfish, sea urchins, abalone, eagles, and river otters. A large sea lion we affectionately named “Frank” followed us closely for half the trip! The weather was amazing, even when it rained in the middle, it was great! Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, a humpback whale appeared in front of us! He was a long way off but we could hear him, see him, and even smell his breath!! Charlie and Liz took great pictures and videos of our trip and shared them with us. I can’t recommend this tour enough! It was worth every penny. Be prepared to get wet! The skirt provided helped a lot, but we were still pretty wet at the end. I was glad we wore quick dry pants and water resistant shoes. Even on a very warm day for Sitka, having a rain jacket or hat is a good idea!

Unfortunately, we don’t get to take this excursion as planned, as the guide let us know it was too windy on the water. Communication was direct and very easy. He offered a couple options - a tour around town including raptor center and Fortress of the Bears or a full refund. Appreciated him giving us those options. Our refund was processed very quickly and we made the best of the gorgeous day in Sitka exploring on e-bikes instead.

It was a good kayak trip. I could have given a 4 because driver went to wrong pickup location, but they were quick to fix that accidental mistake, and guide was friendly and helpful. A little more nature/biological information would have been good, but it was not advertised as being led by naturalist, so won't hold that against them. Saw sea lions on buoy, star fish, jumping salmon, and lots of eagles, some within 20 feet.

Charlie, the owner/guide, was engaged, friendly, enthusiastic, genuine, and knowledgable. His experience in kayak instruction and his qualifications as an EMT reassured me of our safety. His equipment was new and well maintained. His assistant was welcoming and most helpful driving us to the cruise ship. Two hours was just the right length. The route was in calm water, suitable for beginners. I would highly recommend this tour with Charlie.

What an amazing time! Charlie is a dynamite host. Equipment perfect and tour excellent. He took us through the waters smoothly. Weather was great and kayaking was the best. His mom was a great addition to a memorable time. Highly recommend!
