We got to see lots of sea creatures and the guides were knowledgeable. It was great that they provided rain gear. I would definitely do this tour again. I loved seeing the landscape from this vantage point.

Fun kayaking adventure. They provided all equipment to keep our lower bodies dry while kayaking so we didn’t have to wear waterproof gear. Kayaking was easy and we were able to see bald eagles, sea stars and jellyfish. Great way to start our day in Sitka

We had a great time! The instructors were fun and made the experience more enjoyable. We saw an eagle, plenty of jelly fish and a minke whale!!

We were disappointed in this experience. They required a tall person to sit in the front which left the smaller, less athletic person in the back to control the rudder. Generally, the heavier, stronger person is in the back. However, the starting point was easy to find and the bay was picturesque.

Thank you for the kind words about the bay and how easy our starting point was to find!
We did want to share a bit of context on our tandem seating. Our guides typically place the taller or stronger paddler in front, since that seat drives the boat's forward power, while the rear seat manages the rudder — the main exception being a parent paddling with a small child, where the parent takes the rear seat regardless of size. Taller paddlers can also sometimes have trouble comfortably reaching the rear seat steering pedals, which is another reason we keep that seat for our guides to assign rather than leaving it to guest preference. This approach might be different from what some guests are used to, but it's one we've found works best, based on many years of experience on the water. We always strive to put our guests in the optimal seating arrangements that prioritize a safe paddling experience. We're sorry it didn't feel like the right fit in the moment, and we'd love the chance to have you back out paddling with us.

A great kayak experience for beginners - the guides take good care of you to be sure you know what you’re doing. Our guide Josh and Lily were very knowledgeable about the area we toured and the wildlife which I loved learning about. Highly recommend!

So relaxing and beautiful. Great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise crowd and see some of the real beauty of Alaska. Rhee and Nathan were professional and knowledgeable and had a wealth of information to share about the local marine life and lay of the land. Top notch organization. Well worth it! Felt safe and comfortable for our all ages group from grandparents to kids.

This Kayaking tour was average at best, except for the guides who were exceptional. Not to much to see except a couple of minks, starfish and kelp. You start at the dock and kayak over to another small area and return back to the dock. I would of liked to of kayaked more but just alot of floating in kayak. Oh well second time to Sitka and 2 average excursions. Like I said the guides were very nice and good, just not an excursion we enjoyed.

Wonderful tour! This was our first kayaking experience and they made it super fun and easy to learn!

Unfortunately my cruise was unable to stop in Sitka due to maintenance issues but Viator refunded my tour without my having to ask! Thank you, Viator! Great customer service.

Was a great experience for our cruise stop in Sitka. All of the guides were super friendly and very helpful. On the adventure we saw star fish, river otters, several bald eagles, and some fish. My boys and I really enjoyed our afternoon!

Our kayaking experience was amazing! We had so much fun doing something we've never done before. Our tour guides were very knowledgable about wildlife, Sitka and nature in general. They kept the kayaking pace very comfortable (we'd never kayaked before), and they were patient with our few "slowpokes"! We lucked out with a bright sunny day, too, so not only was it a little warmer than expected, but we were able to see Eagles, kelp crabs, and other animals in the sunshine. I highly recommend this tour while in Sitka...it was amazing and fun!

Had a wonderful time. Proper equipment given to stay dry, but make sure to have a rain coat. Got to see a sea lion, star fish, and bald eagles. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Awesome way to spend an morning in Sitka. Sitka Sound Kayak Adventure was flexible and booked us on a different tour time when our tender was later than our original scheduled time. Avery was a great tour guide, fun to talk to and it was nice having only 4 in our group.

This experience was a treasure! My kids all voted this as their favorite thing that we did on our vacation. We saw eagles and starfish and our guides (Jackson and Rhea) were fantastic!

Sitka Kayaking was so much fun! They meet you right by the port and teach you basics. You gear up for the adventure and go on your way with 2 guides. We saw sea lions playing in the water and starfish. Overall the kayak experience was worth it! Highly recommend!

We thought the guides did an amazing job for what the tour was, and this is the reason for the 5 stars. However, the description of this tour is not accurate. We kayaked in the same area as the cruise boats, where the description outlined we would be going to a remote area.

Rex and Jaden were excellent tour guides, very patient explained everything to us! They guided us and watched over us and made sure we were safe !
It was a very fun experience as this is my first kayaking , although it was a bit of windy with some current, but it was a great experience! Definitely recommend it !!

Hayley was a great guide that shared loads of information about Sitka and all the creatures we saw. We were able to see bald eagles, sea lions, jellyfish, and starfish. We had some amazing viewa from the water. The kayaking was not rigorous but still fun!

The paddle to the river to see the salmon. great. Devon's local knowledge was excellent and was on constant lookout for things to see.
Great trip. Good pace.

Ernie the guide was fantastic! Very scenic paddle into schools of salmon jumping out of the water! It was a longer row than I expected but it was awesome.
Highly recommended

Sofi gave us a sea star to hold! She and Ernie were wonderful guides!!! Most of us were rookies, but she made us feel comfortable in the water.
