I had a fantastic experience on the Seattle evening cruise! From start to finish, everything was smooth, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were professional and welcoming, creating a calm and friendly atmosphere right away.
The bar served excellent drinks, well-crafted and just what you’d want for a chilled-out evening on the water. One of the best parts was the minimal narration; it allowed for plenty of relaxed conversation without constant interruptions. It struck the perfect balance between informative and peaceful.
The sights were stunning, cruising past the Seattle skyline, Alki Beach, and Alki Point was absolutely beautiful, especially with the great weather we had. It truly showcased the best of the city from the water.

A wonderful way to see Seattle. The 2 hour excursion was relaxed and comfortable, The Argosy is comfortable with very clean and spacious restrooms

We had a wonderful time on the sunset cruise. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The guy who was narrating the cruise was very informative and was very pleasant and funny. Would do the cruise again if I ever come back to Seattle.

Pretty good experience with this sunset cruise. Seems to be very popular, so suggest to get there early.
Francis_G, Sep 2025
The cruise was beautiful, with amazing sunset views for pictures. My only advice would be to have more narration of the sites we passed. It could have been more interesting and advantageous to have a better understanding of the sites.

Great cruise of Elliott Bay, with beautiful views of the Seattle skyline. Friendly staff and good bar.

It was great! Bring a jacket if going on sunset cruise. Drinks were good. Sunset was beautiful! Made for great photos!
Lisa_K, Aug 2025
A nice relaxing tour. Beverages and snacks are sold. Restrooms available. I wish there was some more talking about what we were seeing. But all and all good views.

I’m not sure who this cruise would appeal to. It was marketed as good for locals who want a minimally narrated experience, but there was an awful lot of narration, maybe not enough for a tourist though.
I’d say if you’re a tourist, opt for a fully narrated tour. If you’re a local looking for some views, just walk onto the Bainbridge Island ferry and grab a drink in town. You’ll save a bunch of money and probably have a better time.
I’ve been on an Argosy cruise before and recalled it being pretty nice! This boat, however, was run down, the interior was poorly maintained (the ceiling was falling apart and just looked gross), and it wasn't fully cleaned between groups. It was also VERY crowded. There wasn’t enough room to even stand outside and the seating was crammed together. Washington State Ferries are better maintained and less crowded, so seriously consider saving some money and doing that instead!
Despite its shortcomings, I did have fun. There were good cocktails and friendly staff, but I wouldn't recommend it based on value and other options nearby.

The boat is smooth ride. The view is amazing. Just enough details about the area shared by crew. Plenty of outside seating.

I have mobility issues and was not able to make it to the pier to convert my voucher into a ticket. I would like to say it is RIDICULOUS that you force us to go to one pier in order to convert the voucher into a ticket. Then go to another pier for the tour. With my mobility issues I was not able to make it to the second per in time for the tour. So basically I'm quite dissatisfied with this tour.

Fantastic relaxing cruise that gives you great views of Elliot Bay. They play soft background music as you cruise and explain some significant sites. Would highly recommend.
Gary_G, Jul 2025
Do not miss the experience. Seattle is even more beautiful from the water, especially at sunset. there was a little mixup regarding the place too trade the voucher for tickets, but we arrived early and clarified that and was first in line to board.
Matt_S, Jul 2025
Start time was shown to be 4:30. We arrived at 4:25 and boat had already left. Cruise operator could not help because it was booked through Viator (3rd party). You are better off booking directly with Argosy because they will refund or rebook you. Viator will not.

The scenery was beautiful, and I’d definitely go again next year. The ride was smooth, the entertainment was perfect, and the drinks and snacks were just right. A great experience all around.
Atticus_B, Jul 2025
THE sights were good!! The sky , the weather was literally perfect!! Getting to listen to more music was also fun out on the water.
Maia_R, Jul 2025
Nice time! No frills. Staff was really nice and the large bathroom, bar with snacks, and plentiful seating was great. We had beautiful weather and truly enjoyed!
Shelly_J, Jul 2025
I liked that they didn't do too much talking and the bar on board, it was just a huge circle that we did in the water. I will say it was pretty crowded seating wise and you had to turn the chairs around to look out of the boat. Also there should be more than one bartender as it was a pretty long line.
Tawesha_M, Jul 2025
If you’re looking to just be on a boat (mini ferry) then you’ll like this. There was no commentary for any of the areas passed. An expensive trip on the beautiful water
Raissa_L, Jul 2025
It was fun , beautifal view, not too much narration, very streamlined operation. Although the website has soo much info sort of info overload might want to add some more drop downs people can open and close as needed. I would pay extra for premium lush seating like some cushioned sofa type vip setting. Would do again
Tracy_L, Jul 2025
While this was a nice tour, the chairs were set up with our backs to the view. It was nice for conversations, but not for views. They should have been in the center facing out to allow for standing at the rails to look around. I know they were trying to make sure people had places to sit, but most people want to look out. I'm the plus side, we got to see a humpback whale in the distance, which was unexpected and cool.
steve_s, Jul 2025
A veri nice trip on the water. Boat was very neat and clean. Well organized. Would have liked a little more narrative
Deann_W, Jun 2025
The scenery is beautiful. Appreciated the great commentary. Very relaxing. Well worth taking this trip,

Overall good for the price. We had a good time. It’s family friendly and has many seating options.
The bartenders need more experience working with diverse people. They assumed a fam member was drunk only because he was struggling to communicate in English.
Melissa_V, Jun 2025
Best experience ever! Very much worth the time and money. The staff was fantastic-very friendly and interactive.

I was disappointed with the whole experience. I had to talk with the desk people inside Argosy. They wanted me to reschedule after we missed the 630 boat. I reserved two seats on the 7:00 cruise and they had me down for 6:30. What a joke. After fixing the mess, we went on board and it was boring, the guy talking was not the best and the whole thing, after departing the boat, I just wanted to be back in the hotel room. Traffic, the people and the atmosphere were just unexciting. Wouldn't recommend
amanda_w, Aug 2024
seeing the water was nice and it was a nice boat, my only issue was lack of narration. spent a lot of time trying to figure out what things were on my own
J_S, Aug 2024
We had lovely weather including a beautiful sunset. Captain and crew were welcoming and knowledgeable.
Kayla_E, Aug 2024
Went on the cruise for a proposal and was very nice! Such a fun thing to do with couples and friends. Full of amazing views.

Beautiful evening cruise of The Sound. Our family truly enjoyed the experience! Plenty of space for everyone to sit and enjoy the outdoor area.
