Rod was a great story teller with good historical information. We took short breaks at different area. He pointed out several local food places you might like. We learned about General Oglethorpe, General Sherman, and Savannah.

A great tour of historic Savannah. Our guide, Rodney was fantastic, what luck to have a history professor as a tour guide! He was so informative and interesting. We loved it and recommend!

The tour guide did not have our name when we met him. He said that 3rd parties sometimes have a communication problem. Other than that the tour was fabulous

This was a really interesting, thoughtful, fun tour of some of Savannah's historic squares. The tour content was well thought out to touch on history and culture, with really thoughtful information on why and how the city evolved into what it is today. Savanna, our super-guide, was great at mixing history and facts with anecdotal information. I'm sure that all that guides are good, but a 100 percent shout out to Savanna.
Mary_W, Apr 2026
Informative on history and founding of Georgia. Also included Savannah's impact on movies and culture. Our tour guide Rodney is a history professor and was very engaging and offered great local cuisine suggestions.
Betsy_L, Apr 2026
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was so interesting to hear some of the history of Savannah. This tour is way more informative than the trolley tour. I especially appreciated the earpieces that we each had so that we could hear clearly. 100% recommend.
Kevin_H, Apr 2026
Our expert guide was pleasant, very well spoken and thoroughly informative as to all aspects of Savannah’s very interesting history.
We could not have been more pleased by our investment of time in his care.

If you are wondering why you are visiting Savannah, this tour will absolutely serve as the jumping off point!!! Our tour guide, Savannah, gave a wonderful overview of historical, cultural and architectural information, with suggestions of where to visit on our own. We have taken guided city tours all over the world, and this was by far the best! And SAVANNAH is truly the best tour guide we have ever had. Our recommendation is to start your first full day with this walking tour. You will not be disappointed. (And YES-Savannah is her real name!!!)
Colleen_F, Apr 2026

Our guide Savannah was tremendous!
NADDIA_P, Mar 2026
It was informative but a bit boring, some fun folkloristic stories about the past could have been fun in between the whole history part.

Champ was was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable. The only difficulty was sometimes he spoke a little too quickly for us to understand some phrases. He willing answered questions and had a great sense of humor.
