Our guide, Kels was extremely knowledgeable. He kept the tour moving and interesting. We would highly recommend the tour and especially Kels as a guide!
The guide was excellent and really gave a detailed explanation on the feeling of the southerners before and after the war.

The Civil War tour got cancelled. So I went on a general history tour of Savannah. Our guide was excellent and so knowledgeable. I learned so much and very much enjoyed it.
Champ was very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. He encourages dialogue and enjoys answering questions. Champ was very good at providing context as well as relevant historical perspectives. A+
Loved the Civil War History Tour!
It was informative and fun. I’m a history nerd, but my husband also enjoyed it. It’s not every tour where you get an actual history professor!! Our guide was also attentive to keeping a good pace, but provided time and shade breaks since the heat and humidity were stifling.
I appreciated knowing the events that happened in Savannah, and the homes and buildings where they happened(and where they didn’t!) I highly recommend the walking tour.
Kelse was great! He was knowledgeable, funny, and prepared. Bring water and wear good walking shoes.

Ask a lot of questions! The tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Bring a lot of water. There were times where you could sit for a few while the guide talked and a place for a bathroom stop half way through. Also, lots of info about the plants along the way.
Our guide was a professor of Civil War history and was very informative. We enjoyed the tour very much! Explained things in easy to understand terms and answered all questions.
I LOVED this tour! My parents were with me, and one has a hearing impairment- this was completely ameliorated by the earpiece issued to each participant. From this tour, we sought other experiences, loving each one- the Mercer House, the Six Pence Pub, and an amazing bookstore, E. Shavers Booksellers…all because of our guide! I can’t say enough about our guide! Amazing☺️
Rodney was such an amazing guide and really brought the Civil War history of Savannah to life! He’s a professor (lucky students!) who shared so many fascinating stories.
A lot of information on this tour. Very knowledgeable guide. Very walkable and it all takes place within a few blocks.
Sister Patt is very knowledgeable about her topic. Her research in the area is well thought out, explained, and easy to understand. She’s an incredible storyteller. We did both the Savannah history tour and Civil War tour. Got lucky to have Pierce for both and he was fantastic! Highly recommend both. There’s a little overlap but not much and what there is gets a mostly different emphasis depending on the tour.
We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was great. We really enjoyed that the tour focused on Savannah Civil War history. If it hadn't rained the whole time it would have been a tad more enjoyable but overall great tour. We had a wonderful time.

This tour is excellent! Our tour guide provided a lot of historical information in a way that shows the complex and layered nuances of the causes of the Civil War. We have taken many tours around the world. Our guide was perhaps the best of all!
Fun and informative!! Several opportunities to sit and rest in one of the squares while the guide talked. We were blessed with a beautiful day and the two hours went quickly.
It’s a great experience and very informative. We liked how he educated on why and how blacks became slave owners some in part were family members although we know some owned others but It’s never shared the reasons and we appreciated that.
The guide "made" the tour! His comprehensive knowledge of Savannah history, combined with humorous stories made history "come alive". Not only did he know Savannah of long ago, but also knew the people of Savannah today!

Civil War history yes, but much more. A history of Savannah and its place in history. And, a wise guide who made it informative and well worth the time.
Super interesting and a very knowledgeable tour guide. We saw the entire historic district and learned so much. There was a lot of walking (which we love) but some people in the group got pretty tired.
This was a wonderful experience and our guide, Kelse, was very informative and helpful! This was a highlight for my 10 year old history buff!
