Meet your fishing instructor at San Diego's Crystal Pier on Ocean Boulevard, where your fishing experience begins. There's no need to bring anything as your guide will come equipped with everything you need, including fishing poles and bait. Listen to your guide lead you through the ins and outs of fishing, from tying bait if you’re a beginner to perfecting your technique if you’re more experienced with angling. Cast your lines and wait until you get a bite. As this is a catch-and-release experience, you'll quickly unhook whatever you catch and return it safely to the waters below.

TC is an amazing fishing guide! Very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. I love fishing, but don't have a lot of experience even though I'm visiting from another fishing paradise, Florida. I feel a lot more confident now having spent time with TC. It is very evident that he has a love for his art and a gift for teaching. Crystal Pier is a beautiful setting with its historical cottages and quaint neighborhood in beautiful Pacific Beach. I will definitely be booking this tour again on my next trip to San Diego.

We went fishing on the pier, overall a fun experience especially if you’re into fishing but even if you’re new. The guide was nice and taught us how to fish, and we caught a lot of fish and even crabs and a small shark! It was a new but fun experience, I recommend if you have nothing to do one day.

Nice experience for a first timer. Caught a shovelnosed shark and stingray. Weather was also good fortunately.

This was relaxing and exciting. It's been a while since we have fished as a family and Liam and Liath were the sweetest young men. Very patience and interactive. They had everything we needed to get started. We forgot to bring chairs but they had one that they allowed us to use. We will definitely be back !

Everything was well organized and the tour was fun. Would recommend for a nice day out and some leisurely fishing on the pier. DJ was a great and helpful guide and was full of information!

This was a great activity to do with our 6 year old grandson who had never fished before. Angel, our instructor, was kind and patient and very experienced with helping kids and adults bait, cast, and catch fish. Our grandson caught his first fish and in 2 hours we caught and released two stingrays, 3 smelt and and a perch!
Location on Crystal Pier was perfect.

I went with my teenage son. We booked a last minute trip while we were already on vacation. They were very friendly and informative showing us how to cast, set the drag etc. We caught fish and they took pictures for us. They let my son put on new bait, clear his own seaweed etc. but would have done it for him if he didn't want to haha. My son enjoyed talking to them and would have stayed all day! I would definitely book again if back in the area. It was nice to have a shorter timeframe than the usual half or full day options.

A great fishing experience! Chris was an excellent guide, provided all equipment and gave excellent instruction. Fishing off the pier is an excellent way to fish the ocean and not get sea sick. Ended the evening catching a leopard shark! So much fun!
