A map & video directions can be found on our website, you can find that link on your Viator ticket under "Special Instructions." We meet at Gate 1 Docks A-D Arrive 20 minutes early so you have time to find the gate. We are unable to hold the boat if your running late.

- This is a shared experience.
- Minimum drinking age is 21 years.
- Each person regardless of age MUST have a ticket due to strict Coast Guard regulations. This includes infants of any age. Extra person's regardless of age that arrive and put us over our passenger limit will be denied boarding.
- We sail as scheduled in the event of light rain.
- We are located at Safeharbor Sunroad Marina, 945 Harbor Island Dr. San Diego, CA 92109. We will meet at Gate 1 Docks A-D
- We cannot guarantee seperate reservations will be on the same boat due to strict coast guard capacity safety rules. to ensure your entire party sails together, only make 1 reservation for your entire group.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers

Know that you can bring your own drinks and snacks aboard. Wear the right shoes as you can walk around the boat.

5/5 - unforgettable experience! I ended up being the only guest on this sunset sail, so it felt like a private sailing tour. The views were gorgeous, but halfway through the sail we suddenly got intense fog and visibility dropped a lot.
Captain Patrick handled it like a total pro: calm, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. He adjusted the route and still made sure I had an amazing time. I always felt safe and in great hands.
If you book this tour, I truly hope you get Captain Patrick. He made the experience exceptional!

Not worth for money you pay. This is just a trip during sunset but not purely sunset viewing ride. Last 45 min we are close to sea shore.

Sorry you didn't enjoy sailing! You are correct, this is a sailboat ride at sunset and our description is 100% accurate. We sail San Diego Bay and typically see Sea Lions, birds, ships coming and going and even yacht races on the bay. There is a lot going on besides just the sunset. we have had amazing weather and beautiful sunsets this January, hopefully your able to catch one sometime.

We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset cruise with Captain Patrick. This was our first time on a sailboat and he explained things well and was friendly and clearly experienced in sailing. Both of us were happy with the experience and of course, it helped that the weather was perfect! Altogether, a wonderful experience and some great memories made. We definitely recommend the two hour sunset sail with Captain Patrick! Just one note about the pre-sail communications - The communications were timely and detailed which was helpful. However, we received one address via the text message and a different address (for the next door parking lot) via the email. We were able to figure it out because we read both of them but someone only using the email sent from Viator would have ended up in the wrong parking lot.

Our sunset cruise in San Diego was absolutely perfect, and that was largely thanks to our captain, Aaron. He was extremely knowledgeable about the harbor and its history, sharing interesting facts throughout our trip without missing a beat. The boat was comfortable, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the sunset was breathtaking. Aaron's hospitality made it a truly memorable.

So went on this nice boat ride with David. As we toured the port and I began to ask questions about the surroundings , he did not seem to know anything. He let us know that it was not his boat and that he was filling in for someone. I then asked to go to the bathroom, because the website said there was a bathroom on board. The bathroom was DISGUISING!!!! It had urine and feces in the toilet. The smell was out of this world. I was so over this trip. Not worth the money. The scenery was beautiful but, I could have stayed in my car and circled the port myself. DO BETTER!

Booked this last minute when our first sailing reservation was surprisingly canceled due to overlooking. Our Captain, David, had a good sense of humor. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and we didn't get to watch the sunset but it was a relaxing and enjoyable with friends.

This sunset sail in San Diego Bay was absolutely incredible! The yacht was comfortable and intimate, with only a small group on board, which made the experience feel really personal. The views of the skyline, waterfront, and sunset were breathtaking, and we even spotted some marine life along the way. The bean bag seating was a fun touch and made it so easy to relax while taking in the sights. Our captain was fantastic — welcoming, professional, and made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting San Diego, especially couples celebrating a special occasion!

We had a fantastic experience on our sail last night. Our captain Derek did an excellent job. He was professional, friendly, and thoughtful throughout the evening, even providing blankets to keep us comfortable once it got chilly. He went above and beyond by helping my cousin safely up to the pier and making sure we always had what we needed, including more wine. His patience, kindness, and great conversation made the night even more enjoyable. A very skilled sailor and wonderful host — highly recommend.

Captain was totally disengaged. Experience did not match description. Skyline of San Diego was never even acknowledged. Engine was on the entire trip with unpleasant diesel odor on deck.

Hi Anne, thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts on your experience. The winds were light that evening so unfortunately motoring was the only way around the bay. The Downtown Skyline after sunset is large, STUNNING and right there in front of you, I hope you were able to take it all in and get some great photos. We have over 3000 5 star reviews, our experiences are accurately described.
Daytime sailings usually experience much better sailing winds, I'd recommend that timeframe in the future. Hope to have you on board during the day sometime!

We had an amazing time on our sunset sail! Captain Aaron was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The boat was clean, comfortable, and easily accommodated the five of us on our girls’ trip. We had plenty of room to relax, enjoy the views, and share some laughs. It was the perfect way to end the day—highly recommend!
