    Vatican tour was very lacking!

    Do not have Sara Verde as guide. She did not get tickets for the Basilica and tried to talk us out of going. We stood in a line for over an hour to enter while others had tickets and got in much quicker. She told us that she doesn’t get tickets because the Basilica was frequently closed on Saturday. Our tour was supposed to be 4 hours and she was with us about 3 and said she had to hurry to get to another tour. This was our 5th time on a Vatican tour and we’ve never experienced anything like this before. Definitely not worth the amount paid. We do NOt recommend.

    Our guide never showed up and we waited for over 90 minutes and had a good deal of help from Vatican employees trying to make it happen, no luck.

    Dear guest, our guide had an issue with the subway due to the fact that during the jubilee they had to do some extraordinary works. She was 20 minutes late but you left. You asked for the total refund that we immediately gave to you…even with the total refund you Wrote a bad review. By the way the tour of the Vatican is only three hours so you didn’t lost a day but just couple of hours. My apologies

    Private tours of Vatican - best idea for Mom!

    We had a great private tour with Sarah who paced herself to match my elderly mom’s energy. My mom was very apprehensive going on a tour for fear of slowing people down so I opted for a private tour of the Vatican and it was the best idea even with walking up and down many steps. We really enjoyed the tour and appreciated the time we were allowed to have to appreciate the Sistine Chapel.

    Guide never showed. I'm the one who had to make contact to find out what was going on. Was given the excuse the guide couldn't make it due to a train strike, though the train strike was actually the next day.

    This was a five star private tour! Franz was informative, funny, and skilled at teaching us about the art and history of Vatican City. Engaging for our adult kids in their early 20’s as well as for my husband and I. I was in awe during the visit to the Sistine Chapel and Franz helped us appreciate this masterpiece to the fullest extent. Highly recommend!!!

    Sara was amazing. She studied history in school so her breadth and depth of knowledge is deep. Her English is flawless. She is also genuinely nice and very cool. Walking through the museum and chapel is just spectacular, it is not to be missed. Having an informative guide with you really completes the experience. Request Sara. I promise it will be fantastic.

    This tour cannot be missed! My husband and I chose the private tour and it was worth every penny! Our guide, Mickey was fantastic! He was waiting for us at our arranged time and was ready to go. His passion and depth of knowledge was amazing. He was patient and made sure we saw every important section of the Vatican Museum, gardens, and Basilica and answered all our questions. The Vatican experience is a once in a lifetime and as such needs to be seen with a guide that is very knowledgeable and Mickey ( Michele) is that person. So glad we decided on the private tour.

    The tour was very good and our guide Sara was wonderful. She provided so much great historical information and kept us engaged in good conversation throughout the whole tour. It felt more like spending a day with a friend instead of being lead by a guide. Would 100% recommend having Sara as a guide to others.
