I highly recommend taking this tour if you are coming to Rome. Sevada’s tour was very insightful on all the history of the Basilica and without taking a tour like this one, you don’t understand all of the history you are looking at. Definitely consider taking this tour. You won’t regret it!

We did a custom tour out of Monaco of the French riviera. Our guide was Zara (see pic) and she was great. She took us to some nice places and we had no set agenda, except when to be back. I would highly recommend her. She was very accommodating and informative.

We only do tours in Rome, so we don’t know who this “ZARA” is ……..but GOOD JOB ZARA! We give high quality tours so it’s nice to hear someone else is doing good! We can appreciate the fine art!

Out of this world experience. Our guide Josi was extremely knowledgeable and very thoughtful, she kept an eye on my Momma who is elderly with a cane. Josi explained in detail the history of the Basilica inside and out. She was magnificent and we highly recommend this tour with Josi.

She definitely knew her material and gravitated towards a better insight on the subject. She filled all the gaps and questions that I had at the time. She makes a great asset and easily brings a younger vibe. I enjoyed listening to her and encouraging to go deeper in things. I would definitely book her tour again, but we can’t chose our guides. We missed our first scheduled tour because the Address link that was sent to us on the email was incorrect. It was a good thing that we were available the next day and the tour guide was nice enough to reschedule our tour. It would’ve been a good one, except that he had to rush because one of the tour party that was with us was in a hurry to leave to catch their transfer to Florence. Our tour guide was informative.

OUTRAGEOUS 🤣
Reading this review honestly made me laugh.
First off, when you book this tour, Viator sends you an automated confirmation email. It includes everything you need to know — most importantly, the meeting point. Thousands of people have done this tour, and not once has anyone gotten the location wrong. Everyone gets the same email.
This lady somehow ended up at the wrong McDonald’s. We meet at the McDonald’s right by the Vatican. She went to the one at the train station. So, she missed the tour.
I reached out to Viator, and they confirmed: she was a no-show. And their policy is clear — any no-show or cancellation within 24 hours of the tour is not eligible for a refund.
Despite that, I spoke to her personally for about half an hour on the phone. OUT OF THE KINDNESS OF MY HEART♥️ — because I’m not some faceless company, I’m a one-man kind of operation — I said, you know what, let me see what I can do. I moved her to the tour the next day. FREE OF
CHARGE.
I didn’t have to do that. I could’ve kept the money and walked away — and it would’ve been totally within the policy. But I try to help people when I can.
She shows up the next day. Now, normally, after the Basilica tour, I have a Vatican Museums tour at 5pm, which is why the tour is listed as an hour and a half. But on that particular day, I didn’t have a tour afterwards — so I went long. I talked and talked, and I gave probably the longest St. Peter’s Basilica tour I’ve done all year. Two hours and fifteen minutes. That’s 45 minutes more than what’s advertised.
And she complains that we were RUSHED?!?!?
Outrageous. Truly outrageous. 🤣 Some people, man.
However I won’t ever lose faith in tourists, I love you guys! There’s a bad apple here and there, that’s life.
