We had a fantastic tour of the Colosseum. Our guide, Marcello, was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and we really enjoyed the tour a lot. We highly recommend a private tour guide and visiting the Colosseum underground which is a very special and unique experience.
I honestly had no desire to see the Colosseum, but my husband did. So to be a considerate travel partner, I agreed to go with an open mind. I absolutely loved the experience. Marcelo, our guide was 10/10!!

This is a Scam. Tour Provider Italian Tours cancelled my reservation minutes before the tour started and offered to refund only 10% of my money. Viator should remove this vendor from their list of providers.
They were a no-show after charging us over $1200 dollars months in advance and left my family stranded in the heat and no tickets for the highlight of our trip after $1200 tickets. They never picked our calls or even cancelled in time for us to arrange something!! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Beware!!
Came to know more about the Colosseum and history.. knowledgeable guide. Very helpful too. However, the price seems high for a short tour like this..
AMAZING experience, 100% recommend! It was definitely worth the cost and one of the coolest experiences we did in Rome.
Do not use Italy Roman Tours!! After paying 1000Euros for a private underground coliseum tour they did not show. We tried texting no response and when other tour operators called the number it was. It’s/non-existent. VIATOR is working refund and I will let you know if that’s successful!!
The Colosseum is such a fascinating building. The underground tour was super interesting. We saw where the gladiators walked and prepared for their fights. It was really cool to see what the backstage look like for it. The company was very flexible and allowed us to enter at a later time due to a scheduling conflict. But, I had to work that out prior to the start of the tour. We were also able to book this practically last minute due to a cancellation from another tour group. I highly recommend it.
Amazing tour! Our tour guide Marcello was very informative and passionate about teaching! We skipped the lines and the private tour is 100%!worth it!

Only way to go skip the lines see areas others don’t guide very accommodating you get what you pay for what an experience
We had a private tour with Marcello. He was an excellent guide who clearly loves sharing his extensive knowledge of Roman history, the Coliseum, Palatine Hill, and the Forum. We had access to areas not available to the general public which enhanced our tour making it truly memorable.

Marcello was by far the best tour guide I have ever had. He curated the perfect tour the encompassed all major aspects of the colosseum and Palatine hill. What stood out most about my private tour was Marcello’s attention to detail. He was communicating facts throughout the tour that would only be known by an expert guide like Marcello. It was such a pleasure to experience one of the most iconic pieces of history. If I were to come back to Rome I would 100% request this tour all over again and request that Marcello be my tour guide. It goes without saying that passion creates an experience that will last a lifetime, and Marcello’s passion for the history of the colosseum is what made the tour so phenomenal. It was an honor to have experienced this tour by Marcello’s side.
