The church is a lovely venue for an intimate opera experience. . Choose 1st row left and watch the concentration and precision of the orchestra, marvel at the vocal talents of the singers in beautiful costumes, and enjoy be being close to two mesmerizing dancers performing ballet included in the Rome production.

The opera singers and the artists were all great. But the seting arrangement in a Chappel/Church is not ideal at all. Unless you are seated in the 1st 2 rows you can barely see anything. I am sure i would have enjoyed the experience in a real auditorium

Wanted to try this and see if Opera was something we'd enjoy and pleasantly surprised. Don't pay extra for front seats and priority, I was seated behind a pillar with a restricted view

This was a really well-done production in an intimate space. It didn't have the lux set, the full orchestra, set changes, but it didn't need all that. We were able to understand what was going on for the most part (read up on it on Google before you go, if you are not familiar with the story). The performers were all amazing, I wouldn't be surprised to see them on a big stage performing this opera anywhere!

We booked the show without knowing Italian thinking our Spanish might help. However, we were lost throughout the over two hour show. We did not receive a program but followed a fellow reviewer’s advice to look up the synopsis of the opera to understand the storyline. The opera singers had great voices. Venue and stage are within a church. Overall not bad but would like an authentic opera in an opera house next time.

Terrible..!!! I have seen better high school performances. Staff was rude, catered to Italian and Spanish speaking patrons. Temperature was unbearably hot, the fans did nothing. Save your money and time, skip this..!!!

This was a great opera experience in a beautiful church in Rome. Small setting and was able to enjoy a meal and drink just outside the venue when the show was over.

We had front row seats to La Treviata in Rome It was one of the hottest nights in Rome, so congrats to the performers and orchestra.
We had googled the synopsis of the opera, which greatly assisted us following the performance.
The Opera and music was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great way to end our visit to Rome.
The church was a beautiful backdrop for a wonderful performance. Highly recommend attending!

Our first opera. Excellent performance. Unique venue wish very good sound quality. Can’t lie the seats were a little uncomfortable, being church pews in all. The cushions did help

St. Paul’s Within the Walls is beautiful and the acoustics are superb. The setting is intimate and the singers, musicians and dancers were all fantastic. We enjoyed our evening very much.

The overall experience was ok. Aleksandra Buck was exceptional..the rest were also good but she was incredible. The church was extremely cold so dress extra warm if choose to attend in December. We bought our tickets on Viator paying 35 Euros which put us in the very back of the church on stacking plastic chairs. That same 35 Euros tickets bought direct at the company puts you toward the front. No where would we have known this. With that said, it was actually better to not be in the crowd of people during COVID so it all worked out.

Thank you for your feedback! We would like to remind you that it is a church with ancient frescoes, therefore an environment that must be preserved and that cannot be heated or cooled. It's a historic location and doesn't have the comforts that other locations may have.

I love opera, and enjoyed the experience however, there were some situations that detracted from the performance. While churches are notorious for echos, I wonder if some rearranging of singers and the orchestra couldn't have helped the performance overall. Then, with the addition of the Lyrical dancers, who were also quite good, our sight lines were almost obscured completely. Our seats were fine but, we couldn't see or hear much of the time. The other matter is that, initially, there was some confusion with the program. I had thought one thing when I bought the ticket, another was announced at the door, and a third was posted on a board. Overall, the walk to St. Paul's within the Wall was interesting, and the church was beautiful. We are glad that we bought tickets, but I was somewhat disappointed with the arrangement of the participants.

Ein sehr tolles Erlebnis in Rom! Das Ensemble war erstklassig, das Orchester super und die Kulisse (Kirche) beeindruckend! Einziger Minuspunkt: Eine unfassbar schlechte Luft in der Kirche! Es standen zwar Ventilatoren, jedoch war die Luft kaum auszuhalten & wir saßen mit Flyern und Fächern da, um es erträglicher zu machen.

Nossa difícil descrever em palavras o espetáculo dessa opera. Que coisa mais linda, para começar a ópera e dentro de uma igreja maravilhosa, conta com orquestra ao vivo e foi simplesmente maravilhosa a experiência. Minha família amou e nos emocionamos muito pela oportunidade de ter estado ali. Ficamos na primeira fileira e foi incrível.

Un lieu totalement inadapté ne pouvait que nuire aux chanteurs!
1) L’acoustique de San Paolo entra muro est mauvaise.
2) La place de l’orchestre, devant les chanteurs, couvre souvent leurs voix.
3) Quant à l’assise des spectateurs elle est insupportable, les gens se levaient entre les actes pour soulager leur postérieur.
C’est très dommage de gâcher ainsi tant de talents.
