What To Expect

Your 2–way bus-shuttle service starts either at Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport or one of three pickup points in central Rome.

From the airport, arrive at the bus stop at least 15 minutes before your booked departure time to validate your ticket with the staff. Then, board your bus, and relax on the drive to central Rome.

Avoid problems with the public bus and train systems and reach your destination with ease in just 45 minutes, with return departures every 30 or 40 minutes.

You’re dropped off either near Termini Station, the Vatican, or Via Circonvallazione Aurelia. Trips to the airport depart from one of the same three locations.

Couldn't find the bus based on the directions you sent. Tried to use Maps app but even that couldn't get me there. I gave up and took a taxi. Cancelling the return ticket. I don't have the time to waste trying to hunt you down.

Super easy and inexpensive way to get to the city. Our hotel was very close to the termini station and the bus was the way to go. If you don’t have a ticket you can get one at the airport, but you don’t get to skip the line. There was plenty of room for big luggage and bus was comfortable.

Very convenient. Used this shuttle to go to the airport. Stop is behind Termini station. Drop off right at the terminal for check in at the airport. Will definitely use it again. FYI - the time on your tickets is different from the time you book on viator. That didn’t matter… tickets scanned and I got on the bus.

It’s possible that the review may have been intended for a different supplier. Regarding the drop-off point, we only stop at our three regular and well-known locations: Aurelia, Vatican, and Termini. Additionally, we have dedicated staff members attending each bus stop to assist customers with their destinations. If you used our shuttle service, you may have chosen the stop most convenient for your final destination. Alternatively, to avoid any confusion with navigation apps, taking a taxi could sometimes be the easiest option.

Only one bus leaves at a time. It makes 3 stops the last being the Central train station. Taxis are right there to take you wherever you want to go. It saved us a lot of money over taking an Uber.

Staff were very helpful on the trip I booked indepedently from Civitavecchia. And on this trip from Rome wr had no issues but the driver was in a hurry. So we stored wnd removed our own luggage which included a wheelchair. But all in all no issues.

The driver announced a Vatican stop and did not say it was also for Castell Sant Angelo. Ended up at the next/ last stop at Roma termini way further out than we needed. Driver very unhelpful generally.

We took it both ways and going back to the airport was definitely less chaotic. Coming from the airport it’s a long and confusing walk from baggage claim and the line was huge. People buy tickets on the spot so your “reserved” time could easily get scooped up by a day of purchase. Thankfully we only had to wait like 20 min for the next bus at the airport but going home we got our bus no problem. I will say our bus was “scheduled” in the website at 6:15 at our pickup but we got there at 5:55 and the bus schedule posted said 6 and 6:30 so the schedules are a little off. We were happy we got the earlier one though.

Easy to find bus, short wait to board, buses came every 15 minutes, comfortable ride with A/C. Cons- took forever in traffic to get downtown, couldn’t get to terminal because protest going on and every street blocked so had to walk 3 miles around to get to hotel with 4 suitcases, driver let us out in the street and spoke no English so couldn’t direct us where to go.

Make sure you take a screenshot of your ticket before losing wi-fi. Despite having the confirmation email pulled up, with all the details of our booking, the bus driver refused to let us on the bus. He told me “not my phone, not my problem” when I asked what I could do to solve the issue. He was going to leave before I had a chance to go to a nearby cafe for WiFi. I resorted to paying for a day of cell service through my carrier which was twice as much as the ticket to ride cost. THEN, to make it even more maddening, we get on the bus and see they offer free WiFi. That would have been a very helpful tip for the driver to tell us when we asked where we could find WiFi nearby. Also, there are several men standing by watching as we load our suitcases into the bottom of the bus. My disabled husband was forced to load our 50+ lb suitcases on top of other people’s suitcases, hitting his head on the door that lifts up to the suitcase area. Not a single hand was offered by any of the men as they watched him struggle. This is a cheap way to get to the airport but the bus driver is extremely unhelpful and disrespectful to not offer to help us in any way at all. Left a horrible impression about Rome on our way out of town. Well done!

Excellent option from Termini to FCO

I had one day stop over close to termini after cruise. This bus is an excellent and convenient option to go to FCO T1 or T3. You can pay the driver at the door w/o pre-booking. It took 1 hour to the airport since it also needs to pick up passengers at other locations. Much more preferred than taking the train.
