What To Expect
Your 2–way bus-shuttle service starts either at Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport or one of three pickup points in central Rome.
From the airport, arrive at the bus stop at least 15 minutes before your booked departure time to validate your ticket with the staff. Then, board your bus, and relax on the drive to central Rome.
Avoid problems with the public bus and train systems and reach your destination with ease in just 45 minutes, with return departures every 30 or 40 minutes.
You’re dropped off either near Termini Station, the Vatican, or Via Circonvallazione Aurelia. Trips to the airport depart from one of the same three locations.

Getting to the bus was easy and they made sure we were on the right bus. Unfortunately, we could not understand what the driver was saying at the stops (it sounded like the same thing at each one) and we missed our stop and went all the way to the end of the route. When we asked the driver about not hearing when our stop came up he became very rude and said he announced it and we had to find a way back as it was not his problem it was ours shoved our luggage to us. I explained that we never heard out stop and again he said your problem not mine got in the bus and left us standing there with our luggage and no idea where we were. Finally got a uber to get us to the hotel that was a 20 minute drive back tracking the bus route we just took. We have used Viator several times and never had a problem but there is always a bad apple but would still recommend but hope you get a nicer driver.
Solo traveling I felt safer in a group. All went well getting to my hotel! Make sure to communicate with the driver.Thanks
Our booked hotel was within 2 blocks from Termini which made this an economical choice to get there from the airport..

Reserving was easy with Viator, tickets available on phone. Viator sent regular reminders with pertinent information. We were clearly told there were 2 stops, one at the Vatican and then at Termini. We confirmed this with the agent upon boarding and he place our bags in a separate compartment for this stop. The driver announced the stop in garbled Italian, there was no Vatican in sight, and another passenger translated this was the Vatican stop. We were left off much too soon at a spot not on the itinerary, had to hurry off, left a small bag on the bus, and were left to find an alternate way to the Airbnb. Had to call customer service to retrieve our lost bag and spend a few hours the next day traveling to pick it up. If messaging had been clearer by our driver, none of this would have happened and the experience would have been very positive.

The relevant information provided on Viator clearly indicates the address of our Vatican stop: Via Crescenzio. A simple check of this address on Google Maps would have shown that the stop is located in the Vatican area and would also have allowed you to verify the distance from your accommodation.
Our service is a shared coach shuttle operating between fixed and clearly designated stops. It is not a door-to-door transfer service or a taxi service that takes passengers directly to their individual accommodation. This type of service and the designated stops are clearly specified at the time of booking.
The driver announces the stops, including the Vatican stop and Via Crescenzio. We appreciate that Italian may not be familiar to all our international passengers; however, the stop was correctly announced, and other passengers were also able to identify it as the Vatican stop. It is important to note that the Vatican is a large area and is not limited exclusively to St. Peter's Basilica. Therefore, expecting the Basilica itself to be directly visible from every location within the Vatican area may lead to some misunderstanding.
Furthermore, passengers are never asked to rush when leaving the coach. We are naturally sorry that a small bag was left on board; however, this was not caused by the location of the stop or by any failure of our service. On the contrary, our team made every effort to assist you in recovering your belongings, allowing you to successfully retrieve your bag. We believe that this assistance should also be taken into consideration when evaluating the overall experience.
We always strive to provide clear information and assistance to our passengers. In this particular case, we respectfully believe that the information regarding the nature of the service and the exact location of the stop was correctly provided both before and during the journey.
We are sorry that your experience did not fully meet your expectations, but we do not believe it is fair to attribute the circumstances described entirely to our service.

It would be a lot easier if you gave a stall number for people to look for. The person looking at the tickets didn’t know where to look then took photos of my receipt when all he had to do was be patient so I could show him.

I am a little confused by your statement. Our staff is well trained and knows exactly where and how to check passengers' tickets.
The issue is that, on some occasions, due to the connection between our booking system and the booking portal, a reservation may not immediately appear correctly in our passenger list. When this happens, it simply takes a few extra minutes to retrieve and validate the booking.
We sincerely hope that this occasional technical delay does not cause significant inconvenience to our passengers, and we appreciate your patience and understanding should such a situation arise.

The convenience and the cost is worth it for the money. However, our driver must be having a bad day as he was screaming and fighting with other drivers on the road. (Maybe it’s a culture thing?) the whole drive he must have yelled and honked at maybe 4 -6 different cars. I guess in the US we call it more like “road rage” :) the ticket guys are very helpful and friendly. But hey, it was a cheap and convenient ride for us so give it a try anyway.

I missed my stop at tge Vatican so I missed a private tour I thought the bus trip ended at the Vatican and we were already past it when I realized so I lost a $200 deposit plus received a $80; citation in Rome after getting on the wrong bus with no ticket

The FCO bus to Vatican is a perfect ride of staying in the area and at Romini Termini. Our hotel was a Rosa the Piazza Risomigento which was only 5-7min walk. I recommend this bus ride. WiFi and charging plugs though wasn’t working during our ride. Price is also reasonable by the way. You don’t need to change trains to Vatican, it’s very convenient

Got pushed back to the next bus after standing 20 minutes in line, because the Viator ticket isnt timed and does not have a specific time slot. Total time in queue was 1 hour while looking at the buses next to this company - completely empty. Buy tickets on spot with other bus brands that don't have giant queues.

I believe you may be referring to the wrong company because, contrary to what you mentioned, Viator tickets are timed tickets and are correctly registered in our system under the bookings list for the specific date and time.

Rome airport is difficult to navigate. No information desk and no one wants to help so the directions on the ticket were unhelpful. A map that includes the airport and information about where to exit including other terminals would be helpful for those not in terminal 3. PS, neither Apple Maps or Google Maps will help you find the pickup spot.

Dear customer. It is specified on your voucher platform 16 of the bus station and there are signs on top of heads with indication of the bus station where to pick up the shuttle services. I can understand is a big airport and might confuse but if you want to complain or give suggestions you should write a mail to the company responsible for the airport called Aeroporti di Roma. We are sorry that your review affects us, honestly because what you have experinced is not depending on us.
An easy and cost effective solution. Was what we wanted to get from the airport to Termini in comfort and without any hassles.

Make sure you download ticket...we didn't know and had to run into a hotel across the street with wifi..

Thanks for your suggestion. When the ticket is purchased through a portal like for you, it is necessary to show the ticket at least on your phone.

Service was as described in booking. We arrived at one of the pick up locations and our tickets were quickly scanned. We loaded our luggage beneath the bus and boarded. Within 5-10 minutes, the bus departed, making two other stops before arriving at the airport. The drive was approximately a hour and drop off was at terminal 3.

This is a public bus. We waited in line for over an hour prior to getting on the bus. They allowed tour groups to go ahead of us, further delaying our departure.

Booked a bus from Firmino to Rome but the actual ticket it gave me was from Rome to Firmino so I couldn't use it. don't know how I can get my money back. :-(

it will be good if the bus was more clean

Bus was extremely reliable good and safe. On time and punctual easy to find, the driver made sure to let us know which stop we were at
Super easy and inexpensive way to get to the city. Our hotel was very close to the termini station and the bus was the way to go. If you don’t have a ticket you can get one at the airport, but you don’t get to skip the line. There was plenty of room for big luggage and bus was comfortable.

Very convenient. Used this shuttle to go to the airport. Stop is behind Termini station. Drop off right at the terminal for check in at the airport. Will definitely use it again.
FYI - the time on your tickets is different from the time you book on viator. That didn’t matter… tickets scanned and I got on the bus.
