Ancient Rome area and Vatican Museums visits involve significant walking. Please note that the pathway from the Sistine Chapel to St Peter’s Basilica has 50 steps and is not wheelchair accessible. The tour can continue to the Basilica only if all members of your private group can walk down the stairs. Nevertheless you will see St. Peter's Square and the guide will explain the Basilica from the ourside. Also, note that other participants in your group will have to take charge of pushing the wheelchair. The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has wheelchair paths. The Colosseum elevator will be used for this purpose.
  • Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Tickets are nominal, not modifiable and not refundable. Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Vatican.
  • Kindly note that the tour might start with the Colosseum or with the Vatican, depending on tickets' availability and other variants.
  • ST. PETER'S BASILICA TICKETS: Please note that the Basilica stops selling skip-the-line tickets 3 days before the date. Therefore, you will not be able to skip the line directly from the Sistine Chapel to the Basilica. Nevertheless, if the lines are reasonable, the guide will be happy to get you in. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, which goes beyond our control.
  • Dietary Requirements: We can accommodate dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. If you have dietary requirements. Please indicate it to the special requirements at the time of booking.

I booked this tour because of the logistics of getting our group of 9 from port in Cittavecchia to the sites we wanted to see in Rome, but I got so much more than that!! I enjoyed our whole day so much more because the stress of getting in and out of places was off my shoulders and our guide Andy inspired our complete confidence and taught us so much about everything we saw. His broad knowledge of history even beyond the specifics of our tour enhanced the experience and his friendly, personable demeanor kept it fun. It turned out there was a mass in St Peter’s that morning and the city was packed with people and I really don’t think we could have survived the day without Andy’s guidance.

Outstanding tour with Daniel and Vladimir

Vladimir, our driver, was on time and waiting for us as we came off of our ship. He allowed us to stop for an espresso at a coffee shop he recommended; the espresso was very good and very reasonable in price. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. Any place Vladimir dropped us off at or picked us up required very little walking out of our way. I was very impressed by how he was able to always get the best and closest parking spot every place we stopped. Daniel was our guide and he was excellent. He knew the best and fastest ways to get us into the sites at the Vatican and the coliseum. He was very knowledgeable about all of the sites and the pieces of art and ruins in them. We wandered through some the of sites the day before on our own but by the time we finished the tour with Daniel we realized that while we had seen a lot we didn't really have any appreciation of what had seen. I highly recommend this tour, the personal attention we received from Vladimir and Daniel can't be duplicated by a larger bus sized group. We paid more but received a lot more for our money. There were four of us on the private and we all agreed on this.
