Overview

One of the delights of visiting Rome is eating heaps of fresh pasta. But once you’re back home, it’s a lot harder to get your pasta fix. During this small-group culinary workshop in the heart of Rome’s Jewish Ghetto, learn how to make Roman-style pasta from scratch with hands-on tips from a professional chef. Sit down to enjoy your meal, alongside Roman “fritti,” a traditional Jewish-Roman ricotta pie, and wine.

Benedetta was a wonderful guide!!! She was very knowledgeable about the history of the Jewish Ghetto of Rome. Our cooking class was fun and full of joy and laughs. One of the best bits of our trip! Our guide and chef were incredible. We were with one other couple so it was a very personal and authentic experience- topped off by plenty of wine and even some singing! We love our aprons and certificates as soveneirs. The tour through the old Jewish ghetto was very impactful also and an unexpected bonus!

From the beginning to the end this was by far one of our greatest experiences. Lisa, our guide was so knowledgeable about the history of the Jewish ghetto. She translated between chef, gabrielle and our group with ease. Chef gabrielle was patient and funny and even though there was a language barrier, we never felt it. His knowledge of the kitchen and cooking with love. Made this experience one of our best excursions. Not to mention the food we cooked was incredible. Best meal we ate on vacation.!!!

Night in the Ghetto

Daniela is an amazing guide who is extremely personable and knowledgeable. She made our experience memorable and fun! We had a great time preparing local dishes in a gourmet setting while learning about the local culture. The food we prepared was incredible and we felt like we learned how to prepare them on our own and good techniques. I would 10/10 recommend choosing this experience over others as it felt more niche and fun compared to any regular cooking class.
