It was a wonderful tour, our guide Yash was excellent.
We learned a lot about the Jewish Quarter formerly known as the Jewish Ghetto.
We walked through Trastevere for about an hour- it is quite beautiful.
I highly recommend this tour.
Fascinating side of Rome many of us do not always think about. Ben had fascinating information and took the time to explore questions with us. The tour was well paced and suited to our interests. Great time.

Joan gave us a fascinating tour that covered the history of the Jewish Ghetto and the area, including religious, political and architectural history.
It was okay. I would have liked more info and history on the actual neighborhoods. The guide seemed to just point out things here and there and didn't seem like he had a plan for the tour.

Brian was great! Friendly, funny and knowledgeable! We saw parts of Rome we wouldn’t have seen and heard history of Roman Jews we wouldn’t have heard without this tour. Terrific experience!

Great tour. Brian was one of the best guides we ever had. After - we had a snack with him and he helped us make a dinner reservation at a hard to get table. He was personable, knowledgeable and fun to tour with. Highly recommended!

Our guide Brian was excellent. He was so knowledgeable about Roman history and what happened in the Jewish Ghetto. We were fascinated as we walked and he pointed out landmarks. He also let us stop at a small Jewish bakery and buy bake goods. I highly recommend this tour.
We had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Amber. She was fabulous. Knowledgeable, passionate, and an absolute joy to experience Rome with!!!
While our tour guide was lovely and prompt, it became readily apparent that she did not know very much about the Jewish Ghetto area or Jewish life in Rome. She also didn't speak much Italian which made translating signs (including the memorial plaque to the Jews rounded up and transported to the Concentration Camps) near impossible. She did not point out Hebrew street signs, and seemed to miss some important landmarks that we noticed ourselves. Trastevere looked like an interesting area, but there were long periods of just walking without information. Don't take this tour if you actually want to learn about the Jewish Ghetto area, & about Jewish life then & now in Rome.

I expected a Jewish guide for the Jewish Ghetto. Sofia was very sweet but her English wasn't good enough to describe the treatment of Jews nor did she have the shared heritage to truly recreate the horrors. I wanted to go to the synagogue but we crossed to Testevere and spent more time on things I was less interested in. I booked a tour at 9:45 as I knew museum would close for Shabbat but was moved to 11:15 and caught the last synagogue tour but not much time for museum The Nazi/Holocaust museum was already closed so I missed that too 😞

We are sorry that the tour did not live up to your expectations. It's a walking tour of the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere and not Jewish Ghetto specifically.
Sonia has master's degree in Art History as well as Roman History and speaks perfect English.
Lastly, you agreed to have your reservation moved to 11:15.
Very interesting to hear about the history of the Jewish ghetto before and after world war 2. Our guide Martina was very good. In Trastevere she pointed out the main sites and helped us get street food.
