- Catacombs are sacred and maintain a constant temperature of around 15°C (59°F) with high humidity. Please dress accordingly This tour involves some uneven paths, cobblestone streets and ancient Roman basalt paving. Catacombs are not wheelchair accessible and are not recommended for individuals with serious walking problems, claustrophobia, or difficulty climbing stairs. The tour involves descending and ascending approximately 50 irregular steps.

Francesco F was incredible! We wanted something a little different than the usual tourist stuff and this tour delivered! Yes, it was one of the more expensive tours we booked but WOW was it worth it! If you are on the fence, book it! And ask for Francesco F!

Excellent tour. Francesco arrived early but we were ready so we got a jump. He stopped several times at bonus spots along the way.
Golf cart was the way to go. The cobblestones were a bit bumpy but we could stop in some places a car or bus couldn’t.
The catacombs part of the tour was quick but I’m not sure what else we could have seen. It was interesting to see and the guide did a good job explaining things and keeping people comfortable. If you’re claustrophobic, probably not for you. We had a small group of 6 people but sometimes they take 50 per group which would make it feel really small. To be clear, this is at the catacombs, not the rest of the tour. Everything else was private.
The wall of Rome might have been the highlight of the tour. It’s in amazing condition and not busy. Although we’re here the end of January so nothing is busy.
At the end, Francesco gave us some great suggestions of places to visit and walking routes to see stuff. A+ for him.

We were picked up at our hotel room precisely as promised. Everything was seamless. Wonderful tour to start with, as we had just flown in. Settled into our hotel and had lunch, then combatted jet leg by setting out on this tour. Very knowledgeable, fun and competent guide!

We did this trip with Francesco as our guide . He was absolutely fantastic. He was so informative pointing out so many things on our way . Stopping to give us many photo opportunities as we made our way to the Appian way. Our lady guide to the catacombs was also a fountain of knowledge. Everything about this tour was 5* but Francesco definitely made it even more so. We would recommend this trip to everyone. I’m not that great at walking there are steps down to the catacombs but I just took them at my own pace and didn’t get left behind at all .
On the way back to our hotel Francesco even made some more stops to show us things . We thought this trip was worth every penny . We will definitely be doing some more different trips when we return next year .

Gabriele was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer any question that we had for him. He had the knowledge to be able to tailor make this experience to suit our particular needs. He was extremely courteous as well. He always made sure my mom who has difficulty walking was comfortable and situated whenever we had to part from her for difficult walking portions of the tour. He even ended the tour by suggesting a wonderful place to have lunch. We had a fantastic time.
